Prologue

"Miss Winslet your breakfast is ready downstairs, Miss."

Do they even know that it's too early to wake me up? Can't I wake up a little bit late? Ughh.

"5 more minutes please" I answered one of our young maids

" Miss your parents are waiting so is your brothers," she said

Oh well might as well get up early maybe later on I will just see myself being scolded

"I'll just wash my face," I told her, and then I heard her footsteps probably to go downstairs too

As always I wash my face before I eat breakfast after that I combed my hair as I look in the mirror.

When I stood up I fixed my bedsheet along with my whole bed and then went inside the bathroom.

As I went inside my bathroom I picked up my toothbrush that is inside my container along with my other hygienic products. As I look in the mirror I carefully traced my face.

I have a pixie haircut as of this moment that perfectly surrounds my face. I have a brown color of eyes, a small but sharp nose, heart-shaped lips, a mole in my left cheek as well as a dimple. A lot of people also told me that I have a sassy face which is the opposite of my personality. They consider my rest face as a bitch face which I don't mind because the fewer people approach me the more peaceful my surroundings are.

After freshening up I proceeded myself in the shower and cleaned myself so that I won't cram in taking a shower. After taking a shower I came out of my bathroom and went to my closet to get my school uniform. We have a white long sleeve and a black, blue, and white striped necktie for the top along with a black blazer with a pocket at the upper left corner with our schools' logo. For the bottom, it is an above-the-knee skirt with the same color as our necktie. Me and my twin older brother study at Gardencia Academy, one of the most famous schools around here. Only the rich and smart ones can study at our school. If you are rich you can get in. If you are smart you can get in. If you possess both then you're considered as one of the Elites.

When I felt that I'm finished preparing myself I grabbed my phone at my bedside table and went downstairs.

As I went into the dining room I noticed that they are already complete I sat down beside my older brother Warren. They are twins by the way Warren Mickael and Wyatt Michael. Overprotective as well when it comes to me that's why 'no boyfriend since birth' is my status till now.

Mommy Wendy, a strict yet approachable mother. She listens to everything you say even the small ones and lets you have fun but with limits. She is also the one who stops Daddy from further saying more criticism to us.

Daddy Wade, a typical strict parent. He is a lovable dad in any aspect however when it comes to your academic life you should pay more attention to avoid criticism from him.

"Winslet" Dad called me

"How're your grades? I didn't have the time to check it so I want you personally to tell me" I felt nervous every time they talk about my academic life

I'm not a part of the Elites, unlike my twin brothers. I can only study at Gardencia Academy because my parents can afford to send us to that kind of school.

"Did you know I always maintain my grades no matter what" I replied

"But? You can't strive for the better. You can't even achieve a single medal, Winslet. You can maintain your grades but I don't want the word to maintain I want the word to surpass" see a lovable yet strict parent

When Dad is already done scolding me I didn't do anything I just lowered my head avoiding anymore embarrassment. I know what level my knowledge is. That's why I know up until now I can't be part of the Elites.

"Dad do not pressure her we're in the middle of eating can't we just eat?" Wyatt said

Both my older brothers are very vocal when it comes to the things that they don't like. Just like what they did to Daddy.

"Wyatt I know your attitude also Warren's yet you can still impress me in your academic life but look at Winslet she's proper and all but what now? Maintaining grades is all you've got?" Daddy said

"Honey, can we please stop already? I don't want to ground all of you so finish your food." Mom said

After finishing our food I went upstairs and went into my room. Taya and I have an agreement that we will meet up. Taya is my best friend since grade school actually they only let me go out when she is with me or my brothers, if not them then no one that's how strict they are.

She texted me that we don't have a class for today because our teachers are having a meeting and are busy for the whole day. I didn't have the chance to change my clothes because she told me she's on her way to the place.

"Where are you going princess?" As I walk past Warren while reading a book

"Window shopping brother I have an errand with Taya" I answered back

"Oh okay have fun and don't be late when you go home and take care okay?" Warren as I said protectively

"Yes brother bye!" and then I went outside of our house

"Kuya Liam please take me to the mall Taya wants to meet up." Kuya Liam is one of our family drivers

"HEY! Winslet, what now? You're spacing out again. Any problems?" Taya asked

We're here in our favorite cafe I didn't notice that I spaced out again

"It's just Dad again maintaining grades is not good enough for him he wants me to surpass it" I answered her question

It's true I'm not like my brothers I have knowledge but not as big as them

"As always coming from Uncle right? What do you expect look at you you've become numb when it comes to that kind of conversations that's why we're here to relax right?" she's right maybe I can at least not think about it right now

I roamed my eyes inside the cafe when my vision caught a person at the counter

I was shocked when I saw a man. I can't believe it is that a real person? His broad shoulders pointed nose, pitch-black hair, and brooded brown eyes. I have seen so many handsome boys but he's different he's like Greek God or something?

"Who are you staring at?" asked Taya

When she saw whom I looking at she returned her gaze to me and said--

"I think you don't know him? Based on your reaction that is" and I was confused like duh? Why come I don't know him?

"I don't know him actually. This is the first time I saw a man that good-looking. And why does every single girl inside this cafe is eyeing him like he is a prey?"

True to my words I can see everyone eyeing him. Telling him that they're ready to be touched by him.

"Then let me introduce to you Warrick Aiden Nilsson," Taya said

"One of the most playboys at Riddle High" wait did I hear that right? Riddle High? Riddle High wherein every single student is good looking

The school of Riddle High always takes home first place in every pageant here at our place. They can also compete in academic competition but the Gardencia Academys' representatives are the Elites so that's why they focus more on the pageants. Both our schools are considered as the rival schools. Gardencia Academy and Riddle High are part of the most luxurious schools in the country. Both schools are the only schools that are part of the topmost luxurious schools in the country that are standing in our place. It's hard to be accepted at both schools because of the standards. Both schools have a lot of students yet you can let them compete in any aspect.

"I can even think so many names that I bet he actually dated every single one of them. And did you know he's an achiever?" when I returned my gaze at the counter I caught him staring at me I was shocked yet I didn't let it be shown on my face

Why is he staring at me anyway? Is there dirt on my face? That's a major turn off if ever.

Am I beautiful enough for him to stare at me? Well, what can I say I'm gorgeous noh. I have a lot of insecurities but I never let anyone tell me that I'm ugly. My parents didn't raise me just for them to criticize me.

After a moment of staring at each other, he winked and smirked at me and then got his order and stormed out of the cafe.

Why did he wink at me? Am I his type? Not assuming though just asking. Well if you ask me I would gladly like myself. Every day I tell myself in front of the mirror that I'm gorgeous and no one has the right to criticize my physical features.

I got what happened earlier out of my mind and focused my mind relaxing while with Taya.

That is what happened when I first get a glimpse of his image...the person that I didn't expect who will be the one that will mess up my peaceful horizon.
