Chapter Eighteen

Me and Nikkos were back in the room that Odysseus had provided to us. We had already gathered our stuff together and I was now pacing back and forth in thought. Nikkos was sitting on the foot of the bed watching me with a concerned look that I didn’t care to acknowledge. I was too busy thinking about what Dru had told us and trying to figure out what answer was in the prophecy. I wanted to figure it out as fast as possible so that all this could be over and life could go back the way it was. Well, not exactly the way it was because I now wanted Nikkos to be there with me.

“Ares, how about you stop pacing and sit down.” Nikkos suggested and I paused to look at him and stared at me with worry.

I sighed, “Sorry. I’m just agitated about everything.”

“I know and that’s very normal, but I don’t think running a hole in the ground will help that.” Nikkos said and stood up and walked over to me.
