Chapter 6 - there's something missing

Narrators POV

And the weird part was that those thoughts were, at some level, similar to hers.

They were developed on a level that could understand animals and animals could understand her. And by the looks of it she was very, very far from her, but Kendy still somehow managed to see her thoughts. And the the minds owners name is Patricha Calaham.

When Kendy, at first, saw the thoughts, she was intrigued, but than, decided that she couldn't just look through someones thoughts without them knowing or having the permission to do so ( better late than never ). So she just sat there, once again, in her room, with nothing to do and no one to talk to. As lonely as a wolf without a pack.

The teenager decided to think about the the test that the PE teacher mentioned, that was in a few days? She couldn't quite put her finger on what was happening and what exactly will happen. She wished she could have powers to see past or future.

To know what her mother was, and still is, hiding or not telling her.

Kendy stood up from her bed, that was next to her medium size rooms window and went to her desk. Put her backpack on the floor next to the table and sat down. She took her notebook and a picture of her and her dad together. Looking at it she, for the life of her, could not remember this memory, but the smiles on both of theyr faces just showed that they were really happy. Something Kendy had not felt, or at least doesn't remember feeling that way.

She's missing something in her life. Maybe it's love. Maybe it's her mother, or dad, or both of them. But maybe it's something as simple as a hug from a loved one, or just the memories that she managed to write down before they mysteriously faded away.

Tears started to form in Kendys eyes once again. And as much as the teenager tried, she couldn't stop them.

The salty liquid made it's way past her eyes, nose and mouth, leaving shiny, wet path behind it, that has been left there almost every evening of every week that she could manage to remember.

Sad and lonely. These are the feeling Kendy felt at this moment. She felt sad that she had no shoulder to cry on, nobody to give her love and appreciation to. And for the same reasons she felt lonely. She couldn't get to know people at her previous schools, because whenever she did, the next thing she knows is she is at another city, 1000 of kilometres away, and as much as she wanted to keep contact with the people thru internet, it was just too much energy draining to do so. And seeing Kendy had to live alone most of the time, had to put up a front of being this good student and also not just clamp to someones neck and tell them her whole life story, that she could remember, was already energy draining enough.

And talking about energy draining, the first day of school had been the most tiring and energy draining since her uncles wedding that was 3 years ago. And she just wanted to go to sleep and dream about her perfect world that could never exist.

This time the girl had been woken up by her dog jumping and playing on her bed, because he wanted to go for a walk.

With a loud groan and messy hair, Kendy stepped out of her bed, made it, wore something presentable and took her dog on a 30 minute walk, this time on her own legs, not with a skateboard.

When she was done walking, she had an hour to get ready for school. Kendy made herself some omlete for breakfast. Took a quick shower and went to school earlier than expected.

She got there 25 minutes before her first lesson had started and sat down, enjoying the noise that came from her classmate mischievous thoughts and actions.

Kendys first class happened on the first floor, right across the school entrance, so she saw everyone that entered. There were students that cached her eye with theyr unusual looks, students that were loud and noisy, which she didn't mind, and than the students that looked like trouble. Or even some that reminded her of animals, but that could't be right, she thought to herself, she just hadn't gotten enough sleep, and now is imagining things that were not possible.

The bell rang and everyone went to theyr classes, including the girl that could see thoughts if she wanted.
