Light

I never imagined myself in this situation, before we were almost killed by the purple hobgoblins, we were saved by three unknown figures. Ren was still passed out behind me, showing no very extreme injuries, due to the healing potion Jax had given me. I was on the floor on my knees, with no energy to get up and fight the enemy in front of us, while the brown-haired priestess stood between us and the hobgoblin, whom I had previously knocked down with my electric attack that did no damage in your body.

The monster sees the new female figure on its way and again raises its muscular, purple hand, determined to get that woman out of its way.

"She can't take this blow, I need...!"

I think desperately, trying to get up quickly. The nerves and muscles in my leg screamed with tiredness and I can't move an inch to lift my ice shield again, giving them at least time to get away. But suddenly my muscles relax and I start to feel heat in my body, a warm light that enveloped Ren and me, little by little I feel that darkness start to disappear. The golden and luminous veil makes my eyes shine and the despair is slowly disappearing. I try to find out where it was coming from, and it doesn't take me long to find my answer when my eyes fall on the unknown woman in front of me. She looks over her shoulder delicately, with her eyes as blue as the sky and a calm, friendly smile on her face, something I didn't expect coming from a situation like this.

- Don't worry, I'll protect you. - Her soft voice soothes me completely, while that heat replenished my energies and healed my exhausted legs. She turns forward once more and her sympathy on her face changes to one of anger and contempt, as if only her opponent's appearance already completely displeases her. - Are you ready, disgusting creature ?! - Her low tone makes the air tremble and as soon as it reaches the ears of the purple creature, it just rages and gives a wild howl.

The purple thing moves again and advances its fist against the woman, who does not move or shows any concern in her expression, as if any movement that the beast made against her would not change the outcome of that fight. When I think the fist would hit her face, spreading the lady's blood in the air and at the same time breaking her face bones, something blocks the barbarian and powerful attack.

As if there were an invisible wall between the hobgoblin and our savior, his punch stops in the air or is better prevented from moving. Just confused and not knowing what to do, the humanoid creature just begins to repeat the movement several times and increasing speed and strength with each repetition. The sound of the impact grows and the crash of the fist against this invisible protection causes the ground to shake, I can only stand there watching the monster's blood being printed by its own fist in the air, while the woman just looked bored at that scene. I remember Jax right away, with an expression that that enemy is not worth his time. The hobgoblin stops punching the air, perhaps due to tiredness or the pain of his fingers that seemed to be broken and with a little blood running down them.

- Um... as I thought. -The woman finally says something, with some tiredness and wanting her attacker to stop wasting her time. - Such a horrendous creature has no strength even to pass that level of protection... pathetic, now that you have finished dirtying everything with your rotten blood... disappear. - She speaks seriously, snapping her fingers gently, but at the same time generating a sound loud enough to echo through the battlefield.

Neither I nor the monster understood what was happening, he just advances again and even with his fingers bleeding, he continues to attack in a barbaric way. But the attack is completely stopped, when a long, dense trail of light passes through the monster's head and as if that froze its aggressive movements, the beast simply stops moving. A light so potent that it illuminated the night itself. I just look at that powerful beam attacking the hobgoblin. When the radiant light finally disappears, and the darkness reigns around us, the nauseating smell of burnt flesh enters my nostrils. it had taken a while for my eyes to be able to see the damage the monster had suffered, but when my vision finally returns to normal I see that scene. The threatening purple being in front of us was now without its head and a little bit of its torso, where that light had touched, with a thin, white smoke coming from the wound with charred meat.

The hobgoblin just falls to the ground as if it were nothing, making a noise of meat falling to the ground. The woman doesn't even care about the dead body on the floor and turns around to assist Ren and me.

- Are you okay? - I hear her warm voice and her peaceful expression like that of an angel... an extreme change of personality. His silky, voluminous hair completed the beauty of her youthful face.

- Ah yes. - I say with my voice a little tired, but my nerves arise when I remember my other companion. - Leo, where did he...!? - I try to say but my vocal cords tire to the extreme.

- Don't worry, my friends are with him. - She says calmly and without concern, turning her eyes to the other side of the field where there was still a battle.

The man wielding the sword and light, golden armor, struck the monster's powerful blows with his blade without retreating. In reality it seemed that the monster was in trouble, the knight kept attacking with his sword and causing several cuts to the purple skin on his arms. The beast appeared to be in a defensive position, but the wounds were so large and the amount of blood dripping from it's body that he could no longer move it's arms to defend the next blow.

- It wasn't even funny. - The armed man positions himself quickly and firmly, with eyes focused on his target and aiming amid the beast's purple and muscular body. - I wish we had a more interesting fight but ... you are really weak. - He speaks in his thick voice with a smile, as if enjoying the battle. But that happy expression disappears and is replaced by a serious and determined expression.

I can't even see his blade cutting through the flesh, I just know that I managed to hurt his enemy by the drops of blood flying in the air and little by little those red particles fall to the ground and create small puddles on the ground. I look impressed at the precise and yet powerful movements of the knight, who seemed to have made almost no effort and like the opponent of the sarcedotisa, the hobgoblin just falls to the ground forming an even bigger pool of blood, as if the dead glass was swimming in the crimson.

- I'm done here, need help there Marcus? - He says with a satisfied smile and placing his sword on his shoulder, while looking in the direction of his partner who is still fighting.

I follow the gaze of the knight and the priestess, catching sight of the young dagger user. He dodged the monster's wild and brute attacks with ease, as if he were dancing, using his mastery with blades to make several cuts to the purple skin, in the interval of each hobgoblin's unsuccessful blow. The being did not seem to understand the man's movements, or rather he could not even see them. In a moment of anger, he starts throwing punches in all directions, in a primitive option of trying to hit his fast opponent.

- Aff, goblins or hobgoblins are always such stupid creatures. - The young man with orange hair and long daggers was now farther from his wild enemy, seeming only to watch him expend his energy in a random attack on nothing. - They think they can solve everything in violence, pathetic.

Upon hearing this insult, the hobgoblin seems to have taken it seriously and I gave a roar of anger towards the young man, who is indifferent to the negative emotions that thing felt about him. In a violent rush, the angry purple being advances in an uncontrolled way. The blade user does not move, just observes the monster's explosive pull. When he finally decides to move, he just crouches down and makes an X with his arms. I think he will defend himself, but a bright, golden aura begins to emanate from his skin and hair, like a beautiful veil of golden silk as the sun covers his body and arms.

- Domine meus, lux ostende mihi faciem tuam. Nam sicut fulgur: et ego ipse currere.* - He starts to recite something in a low tone, but you can hear from where I was. His extreme concentration is not hindered even by the beast that ran towards him in order to take his head off. - Divine celeritatis *.

*My Lord, show me your light. For like lightning: and I will find myself running./ * Divine Speed. - Latin.

The instant those Latin words come out of your lips, the golden veil completely merges with your clothes and daggers, forming a blinding golden ensemble. The man's dark clothes gradually became yellow and shining like a star. The hobgoblin finally gets close enough to hit the golden-covered warrior, raising his muscular arm for another attack... but suddenly it movements stop and it animal fury disappears.

- What happened? - I say while watching that fight, which seemed much more like a massacre right before my eyes.

Then an absurd amount of blood starts flowing out of the purple enemy's shoulder at high speed and the raised arm was now on the floor separated from the body and forming a large pool of blood. Not even me or the hobgoblin understood what had happened, the beast was still unable to react to that injury.

I look at his human opponent and he remained in the same position, crouched and not moving.

"That guy didn't even move, so how...?"

When that goes through my mind, I see that the young man was no longer in the same position as before, now he was standing behind his armless opponent. I am amazed by that scene.

"I didn't take my eyes off him, how...?!"

- Don't be so surprised, Marcus's speed is not something that can be seen with the naked eye, so it's normal for you not to notice. - The calm and welcoming voice of the woman beside me reaches my ears. On an impulse I turn my face towards her, still impressed by her partner's skills. Not only his, but both hers and the knight to deal with the hobgoblin, these things were almost killing us and for them... it seems extremely easy... they are on another level.

The sound of movement makes me turn to battle again. the armless hobgoblin seemed bewildered by the loss of his limb but seemed not to care so much. Turning his face to the young man, who just looked at him with a murderous aura. The beast knows he won't win, so he chooses the best option... in a rush he runs in the direction he came from when he attacked us. I think it is useless for him to compete with that powerful speed and I just wait for the monster to be beheaded in the blink of an eye, as happened with his arm. But nothing happens ... the user of daggers doesn't move, just watching the wounded beast running into the woods, disappearing in the dark.

- Marcus, will you let him get away ?! - I hear the crude voice of the angry knight, against the man with daggers. Both he and the brown-haired woman had failed to understand the reason for their pity for the monster, while still thinking about that scene for a while.

"He seems to be someone smart and focused, he doesn't seem to let something like this happen without any reason... could it be..."

I look at Marcus again and he just deactivates his golden mode and the veil that gave his absurd speed disappears in the night air, like small yellow bubbles that disappear into the sea. I don't think he lost the energy to be able to kill his opponent. When the wounded beast completely disappears from our sight, Marcus only shrugs when his angry companion approaches.

- And there we go. - The woman says, with a nervous smile, knowing that they would argue. She doesn't even try to stop it, just runs towards Leo, motionless on the ground and holding his spear covered with his own scattered blood.

I just look at Ren, still unconscious but at the same time he looked better because of the potion, leaving me relieved. With that conclusion, I just get up and go towards the priestess who carefully laid my injured companion, so that no unnecessary movement could make his situation worse. Without hesitating she extends her right hand and from her palm, a bright green light begins to be released between her fingers.

As I get closer, I get a better look at the treatment she was giving Leo. I say nothing at all, I just watch carefully and try not to disturb or distract her work. I look at Leo's injured body: the bruises on his face, the blood coming out of his lips, his uniform dirty with dirt and blood and one of his arms that appeared to be broken. When I see his wounds, a negative feeling runs through my body.

- Worried? -She spoke in a soft tone and turning her face towards me, without stopping the light from her palm over his body, looking like the light came through Leo's pores.

- A little. - I say approaching and staying beside her, it seems that my presence does not hinder.

- Have you known each other for a long time? - She starts talking to me, looking like she wants to cheer me up a little. In response to her attitude, I smile and my heart is relieved.

- No, I joined them today. - I say smiling and remembering the brief moments I had with the two. - It is my first independent hunt and they accompanied me.

- You don't need to feel so bad, those things had an unusual strength for ordinary hobgoblin. - She says seriously and confirming my theory, those things were not normal. - You were lucky.

- Yes, I'm glad you showed up. - I say lowering my head, in a way to show my thanks and gradually getting to feel my nerves finally calm down. - Thank you!

- Ah... no need, we were just doing our job. - She smiles a little embarrassed but at the same time seemed grateful for my words. - My name is Helena Savoia, third-degree sarcedothess of the glorious Roman Catholic Church. What is your name?

- Yuki... just Yuki, it's a pleasure. - I say thinking about how to respond to that neat presentation with your title of priestess. In a way to escape this little shame, I look in Leo's direction and Helena's green light, seemed to sew the cuts and at the same time cleaned the young soldier's body.

- It's a pleasure Yuki. - She speaks in a friendly tone, warming the dark mood of the night. When I notice that my blond companion's wounds disappear, the woman stops her light and points in the direction of the two men still arguing. - The two idiots arguing, there are my companions: with a bored face is Marcus and the angry knight is Harrold. They're cool when they don't argue like that.

Now that I was not so agitated, I can better observe and analyze the appearance of the men who accompanied Helena. The one called Harrold, appeared to be older due to his taller height and some wrinkles and a black beard, the same color as his short, military-cut hair, next to his straight features while wearing light armor that covered his chest and shoulders accompanied by smaller parts that protected his legs and arms, but without covering the joints of his limbs and disrupting his movements in the fight, with his sword now kept in a shiny metal sheath with some marked golden wings. The other was a young man a little older than me, with spiky, ruddy hair, wearing a black jacket with silver buttons on the front, along with long pants with the same details on the side, with a strong orange scarf around his neck , with two daggers kept in scabbards attached to both sides of his body.

Just by looking at their physical characteristics, I could tell that they were professionals or were already used to situations like this. I look again at Helena, who was just taking a last look at Leo's condition. Then I look at the staff resting on the floor beside the woman with straight brown hair. Its brilliant stone, while it enchanted me, brought me a certain curiosity, as if I had already seen that object. Almost instantly, the memory of Jax's class comes to mind and the image from one of the study books I used during class and along with that the flashback to the fight, of Helena subduing the hobgoblin and something comes to mind, along with a question about the situation.

- Ah... Helena-san? - I ask a little afraid but at the same time focused on having my answer.

- Yes Yuki? - She looks at me with some curiosity and is interested in my words.

- Who would be the other person who is with you? - I ask my question and without curling my words.

- ... - She looks at me in surprise, showing that I was right in someone else's existence. - How did you know?

- When you were defending me, it was not you who invoked that light against the monster. - I say remembering Jax's classes, while they were traumatizing I am grateful for them.

Spells cannot be used without enchantments, with two exceptions: when they are simple spells, like the ones I've been using so far, and when using artifacts.

- This staff is an artifact, I know that when you use one of them you can not use any other spell and those two were already occupied. - I explain my theory by referring to Marcus and Harrold who were still arguing, while the young girl understood my reasoning.

- ... - She remained silent, while still looking at me with surprise and even a certain astonishment that I had discovered such a thing.

Gradually a certain concern begins to erode inside me, that maybe Helena will start to act differently. I don't know these people well, I don't know how they'll react to any word of mine. I never asked about the relationship between the Generals of Hell with the Church, so I don't know what any of them will do if I say something that displeases them.

- Interesting... - These are the first words I hear, after that short period of uncomfortable silence at that moment. Almost instantly the surprise on his face disappears and a small smile appears. - Her name is Lilith, she helps by giving us support from above. - Helena gently points her finger at the starry sky, making me look in the direction she was pointing without being able to see anything that was relevant.

Then the young woman waves, as if she is seeing an old friend on a normal day.

- She uses platforms and camouflage, along with some magic weapons. - Helena explains to me, which makes me even more intrigued. - As we do not know the situation, she had kept an eye on.

- ... - I hear that in silence, not knowing how to react to that vital information in the fighting style of Helena's group. - Helena-san... are you sure about saying something so important to a stranger.

-Ha...- She runs out of things to say, but this time her reaction surprises me, but it doesn't last that long. - What's the problem? I don't think you're going to betray us. -She just looks confident, while she said something about some cliché anime character.

- And where did you base that thought? I ask, hoping for a plausible explanation for that positive thought with a stranger.

- Intuition. - I know she said the first thing that came to my mind. I just watch her smile, looking like if I asked more I would just get the same answer.

- Helena! - Harrold's thick and angry voice, coming towards us with Marcus still bored with all that criticism from the older man. - Tell that asshole, he did shit.

- Aff... Helena-san, explain to that monkey how things work. - He just speaks with no desire in his voice to continue that discussion, while pointing to the knight who almost burst with anger.

- You miserable...!! - The moment Harrold raises his hand to punch Marcus, Helena gets up quickly and looks furiously in the direction of the two men.

- You two, that's enough! - She says with a high and serious tone, making the two men focus only on her. Both were looking seriously and nervous at Helena's words. - Harrold, I understand your anger but it's no use arguing, so please calm down a little. Marcus, I'm also interested in knowing why I let that thing run away, that was a beast too dangerous to be alive.

- Sorry Helena. - Harrold speaks in a low tone, making me surprised that that brute and proud knight would make such an expression, leaving me impressed with the young woman by my side, showing himself to be the leader of the group.

- Helena-san, I... - Marcus loses his breath when her blue and serious eyes fall on the young man, looking like she could see through his body.

- Marcus, give me an answer. - She again uses her authoritative voice against the young redhead, who takes a few seconds to reopen his mouth but still unable to utter a word.

- Ah... excuse me... - In the middle of that scene of the woman almost destroying the man with the power of her eyes, I speak in a low tone and raise my hand slightly, as if I were in a classroom. Now having the attention of everyone there, a little surprised that I joined the conversation. - Helena-san, did Marcus-san leave the hobgoblin, run away so that we could find their nest? - I say a little nervous, exposing my opinion in the middle of that lions fight.

A few seconds of silence pass and they just seemed to have understood my hypothesis, making the atmosphere around us more calm and peaceful. Even Marcus seems to have regained his speaking ability, when Helena's eyes were off him.

- Yes, that was my idea. - Marcus finally manages to say something. - Goblins are really hard to find, so it's best to hurt him and just follow the blood trail. Sorry I didn't speak before Helena-san. He swallows, but he seems more relieved to have said it out loud.

Helena seems to calm down little by little, thinking about Marcus' hunting strategy, while Harrold seemed calmer too. After thinking about something she goes back to Marcus, prepared to receive any negative response to his plan.

- Aff ... you could have said that earlier. - She says looking a little carefree and snorting at the idea of almost scolding him for nothing. - Marcus, you need to pass on more information to your group, I was almost crucifying you. You don't have to be so tense, we're on the same team.

I think that Helena's threat was just a joke, while the other two seemed to tremble when those words came out of Helena's pink lips. I get a little worried but I try to change the subject as soon as possible, I think it will be dangerous to let this go on for a long time.

- If you don't mind, can you help me with these two? - I point to Leo and Ren still on the floor.

- Oh, sure. - Harrold is the first to say something, taking a step forward and crouching closer to the blond boy still passed out. He puts his head lightly on his arm and lifts his body, the rider takes more care than I expected from that stout figure covered in steel.

He walks calmly and without moving his body much, even when cured it was better not to make a sudden movement. I accompany Harrold until he puts Leo next to Ren. Helena stands beside me and raises her staff again. With a sun in the middle of the night, the green stone begins to shine brightly and blindingly, making it impossible for me to look directly at the artifact.

Gradually the light was transformed into small threads that began to envelop the young bodies of my companions and gradually the threads begin to weave a small transparent dome, shiny and transparent. I only look at Helena, who with an experienced weaver creates a perfect piece with her light.

- This will protect them from anything. - She says stopping emitting light from her staff and turning to me with a smile. - Yuki, you better stay here with them and call for backup.

- Wait a minute ... - I try to speak, but she interrupts me.

- No. - She answers back instantly, without even letting me finish my sentence.

- I didn't even say anything. - I say in the midst of my surprise and a certain indignation at having been interrupted so brutally and unexpectedly.

- You would say that: you want to go with us and fight those monsters, don't you? - She speaks seriously, as if she could read that sentence in my mind and with one hand resting on her waist.

- Ah... I wasn't going to say it like that. - I don't know what to say, I just can't think of anything and at the same time I was a little embarrassed to feel like she was reading my thoughts.

- Yuki, I understand what you're feeling but we will possibly find something much worse than those hobgoblin. - She keeps giving me more reasons not to go, I know she's not doing this to make me feel bad ... but ... - Sorry to say that but... you're too weak Yuki... you're just asking to die.

I feel like an invisible punch hits my stomach, making me unable to say anything or even refute the young woman's words... but how can I refute what is not wrong?

"Weak... I'm not surprised by that word, I've known it for a long time, but it still hurts deep inside."

Gradually I start to have some flashbacks of my moments of weakness. Remembering that made my pain worse. I am overwhelmed by Helena's harsh words, but at the same time I needed someone to say that. Nobody in the house of Lust would say anything like that, not even Jax, so even if I don't like it, I'm grateful for her words. Helena didn't seem to be doing so well either, it seemed like she didn't want to tell the truth in front of me. I don't hear any of the men say anything, I just feel them moving away because of the sound of footsteps moving away from me and the golden dome that guarded my companions. But even if I don't see their faces, I can say that they thought the same.

I take a deep breath and try to bring my courage and confidence back. Gradually I put my hands together and remember Jax's orders: "If anything goes wrong, use the sign."

With my hands together, I form the shape of a weapon, point my fingers up and gradually start to imagine the scene of fireworks and fire. It was a brief thought, but enough that a small but sparkling red sphere appeared at my fingertips. Without even thinking twice I shoot through the stars. When it reaches a certain height, it explodes into a large red star, and can be seen from a distance, probably one of the soldiers must have seen it. I look in the direction of the group of horsemen and none of them look back after the red flash.

I take a deep breath and try to bring my courage and confidence back. Gradually I put my hands together and remember Jax's orders: "If anything goes wrong, use the sign."

I take advantage of that opportunity of distraction and before any of them could notice, I was beside Marcus, walking in the rhythm of the group, stretching my arms as if it were nothing. The young redhead did not know what to say, just looked at me with surprise, Harrold makes the same expression and the only one who decides to say something was Helena.

- Yuki, what are you ...! - She tries to say, as a warning, but before any attempt to stop me I take the initiative.

- What's the matter, I'm just going in the same direction as you. - I shrug, with a smile on my face. I take two steps ahead of my new hunting party and look at everyone with confidence. - As someone from the house of Lust, I cannot go out and let you finish the job alone, the hunt is also mine.

- Ah ... - Helena says nothing, just her expression of concern gradually turns into a warm smile, this is the same with the other two, who seemed more confident in having someone else in the group. - Aff ... if so, why did you make that speech for you to give up?

- I need to hear that, I may be weak but I can support you. - I say prepared to start hunting the goblins again.

- Young people today are more determined than before. - Harrold says in his thick voice, like that of an experienced soldier.

- Say that about you, I'm still young, old man. - Marcus shrugs, with the comment of his colleague and at the same time the barb without mercy.

- Your...!! - They were almost repeating the fight scene. But even before any of them started the fight of insults, a thin and concentrated ray of light, I left the middle of the starry sky and hit the ground, close to Harrold's foot and burned the ground a little.

The two jump in surprise at that and turn towards the sky, a little irritated by having almost lost part of their bodies with the bright ray of light.

- Lilith, what's your problem !! - Harrold is the first to complain, raising his fist towards his other camouflaged companion.

- Almost hit me, brat! - Even Marcus raises his voice, looking a lot like Harrold when angry. I can't help but have a little laugh, accompanied by Helena who had the same impression as me.

- Okay you two, Lilith is talking to hurry up. - She says drying her tears of laughter a little and gaining the irritated duo's attention. - Yuki, it's a pleasure to have you at our party.

I just smile gratefully and start to follow Helena, next to Harrold and Marcus right behind us, looking calmer ... but at the same time they still wanted to jump on each other's neck.

We walked a few steps through the dark forest, keeping a formation firm: Harrold in the front, Helena and I in the middle and Marcus in our rear. But even with a few people I feel safe with Lilith in heaven and ready to fight back any surprise attack. We continue along the path of old buildings and trees in the park, following the trail of blood that the wounded hobgoblin released. Marcus seemed happy that his idea had worked out and was ready to make fun of Harrold's face, who just seemed to shut up following the red path. I am impressed that even with the possibility of a dangerous monster, none of them seemed to care, as if it were something of their daily life, I think about letting my guard down a little but my instincts and nerves prevent me from doing so.

- Relax boy, don't worry. -I hear Marcus's carefree and relaxed voice coming from behind me and forcing me to look in his direction, but without stopping walking. - In addition to Lilith's coverage, Helena-san's blessing protects us from any type of attack.

Marcus' words remind me of Helena's protection from the hobgoblin, something powerful enough to finally calm down a little and relax for a while. I lower my hands and start looking at the region more closely. It was an open park, manicured grass, some green trees, but what should have been a joyful and inviting place, just looks as bleak as the image of a nightmare covered by night.

Even with Marcus's words of security, I can't seem to calm down. My muscles get a little tense again, almost locking my arms completely. When I think that I will succumb to my own fear and raise my defenses again, I feel a hand touch my fingers, the sudden heat makes me look in the direction of Helena who smiles and seems to want to cheer me up somehow.

- Yuki, where are you from? -The questions come out of her lips easily and calmly, the complete opposite of the current situation.

- Tokyo, and you Helena-san? - I ask letting myself be carried away by the natural light that the young woman's aura emanated.

"I would try to guess the Vatican, but it is very stereotype to think..."

- We're from the Vatican.

"For real!?"

- We were transferred a few days ago to the knights' headquarters in Japan. - Harrold finally says something after a while of walking in silence. - I didn't know there was a colony of demons in Tokyo, you usually try to avoid being close to our bases.

- What? - I say confused by Harrold's words, but I try not to interrupt to find out for myself what he means.

- No need to worry, even with the disagreements of our races, many of us are not prejudiced against demons. - Helena, keep trying to create a friendly bond with me.

I'm a little surprised by this approach, but I don't care, I was even enjoying the company. But at the same time the pieces came together in my head and I finally know what to say in that situation.

- Ah... do you think I'm a demon? - I say, looking a little ashamed at the young woman with brown hair, who seemed confused by my words.

- You are not? - Helena says a little lost in the conversation. Even our other male companions stop walking and turn to me with the same expression as the priestess.

- Sorry to disappoint but... I'm a human. - Finally I reveal my race, ashamed of not having noticed before that talk of "disagreements of our races".

A few seconds of silence are installed around us, leaving the scene around us a little less frightening, due to this little misunderstanding. Marcus seemed to be the most shocked, showing an expression of surprise and confusion far more exaggerated than that of Helena and Harrold, who were just surprised.

"Is it so unusual for a human to be part of the demonic army?"

- Wait, so those two... - Marcus tries to organize a sentence in his head, pointing in the direction we came from, seeming to want to know about Ren and Leo.

- No, they are demons. - I reply, trying to avoid as many misunderstandings as possible.

- This is new for me, I thought that humans were forbidden to enter the armed forces of demons. - Helena says and gradually tries to regain her elegant and confident composure from before. Harrold tries to do the same, but in a clumsy way of hiding his feelings.

"So I'm an exception... great, more attention than I really needed."

Gradually I try to think about it and the image of a perverted demon with a young appearance and blue hair appears in my mind, at the same time answering my questions. As it was extremely unusual, I take a breath and try to think carefully about my next sentences ... I don't want the church to get involved in my affairs. I think about something quickly and maybe I'll screw with what I'm going to say.

- It's just that I ... I'm engaged to a demon, so they made an exception. - I explain to the group of knights, in a silly and passionate way. I use this as a mask to hide my half truth and at the same time expect the worst of them. Even though I seem to be liberal with race relations, I don't have much hope that anyone in the church will accept that.

- This... - Helena, is the first to say something, but I try my best to keep that aspect of a young, innocent and newlywed

"Here it comes..."

I prepare to escape from there as soon as possible and continue hunting for myself ... knowing that it would be very bad if I tried to go on without them, but I prefer to do it alone than to be hunted by them.

- Incredible ... - These are her first words, making me now confused in the conversation. I look in the young woman's direction, expecting disgust but the only thing I saw was an animation ... surely the last thing I expected.

- Seriously, who's the lucky one?! - Harrold speaks, as excited as Helena. I turn to Marcus and he just smiles calmly at it, looking like he doesn't need to say anything to express his opinion.

I follow the flow of the situation and try to hide my surprise ... I really thought they were going to crucify me. My heart gradually slows down and I manage to calm down, managing to take over the conversation.

- For certain reasons I can't say the name ... at least until we take care of everything. - I say smiling and hiding certain factors about my fiancé... like the fact that he is the General of Lust, maybe in a second conversation...

- This can be epic for our earthly world. -Helena did not seem to be able to reduce her anxiety, almost as if she were my mother, if she knew I was engaged. - A marriage between a human and a demon can symbolize an absolute truce between our sides!

While I wanted her to stop for a while, her words were not in vain ... even after the war, there is still some friction between our races. I never thought, since I met Alex, how important this can be, but... at the same time, I feel bad. Our relationship started with me in search of revenge and he looks so happy, I start to feel like I'm just using him to complete my goal. We had very little time together and he says that he wants to marry a stranger and on top of being human it would be very stupid of me to accept everything in just a few weeks, even if I manage to accept Haru's death... can I return these feelings to Alex? Can I really love him one day?

Even though I managed to settle our affairs in Kyoto... I still feel a little insecure. I still don't know if what I feel is the beginning of a love or just ... a disappointment created by my own despair...

- Yuki. - Once again I feel Helena's hands, but this time over my shoulder and I force myself to look at her, while I still wore that smile. - Sorry, maybe I overreacted.

- Uh... but... but you're right. - I say not being able to hide my complete confusion, beginning to feel that my happy disguise fades from my face.

- I know but... marriage should only be based on love between two people, not on political or racial needs. - Their words, even in a soft tone, hit me like a white typhoon that managed to clear everything in front of me. - I may have exaggerated... I'm sorry.

I can't say anything, my lips can't move and my tongue just doesn't want to form a word, I just stay there in silence. At the same time, just lowering my head, feeling lighter and as if those worries were never there. A smile appears on my face and at the same time it seemed to ease the tension.

- I'm glad you guys are getting along, but we have things to do. - Harrold points forward, making a small sound with the metal of his armor, due to the movement of his arm, but nothing that loud. - Let's find something ahead. - Harrold uses a serious tone, holding his sword sheathed tightly, ready to decapitate anything that emerges from the dark.

We moved on, being careful not to make any noise that could reveal our position in the thicket of the park, showing that it was something very difficult, due to the large amount of dry branches in our path. The rider is the most careful, coordinating our way to an area with some dense bushes and trees, perfect to hide us completely and still give us a good view of the situation. Harrold crouches and we follow him.

Our protection of leaves and branches was in front of an open area with the floor covered in gray bricks. That was the end of the park, starting the official entrance to the castle, but when I move my eyes forward and try to see any millennial construction, I just see a big pile of dirt and sand. That was the last thing I would expect to find in that situation. I look more closely and see that it was just the entrance, which went down into a dark hole in the ground, which I couldn't see how deep it was.

- We're here. - Marcus was crouched beside Helena, his eyes focused on that artificial cave.

- Are you sure about that? - I ask, still not wanting to believe that some goblin could create such a hiding place in that place.

- Absolute. - The redhead answers me quickly and pointing in the direction of a small path of dark blood that entered the darkness of that hole of earth and concrete.

- Earth magic. - Helena is the first to give a theory about the formation of that nest of goblins.

- Since when do goblins use magic? - Harrold says confused by this ability of those disgusting beings, but also does not lose focus and looks deeply at anything that came out of the middle of the earth.

- Among hobgoblins, each has a class. Those we faced before were like barbarians, but it is possible that they have some with magical abilities. - I say the first thing that comes to my mind, using all the knowledge of video games that I had ... those hours playing may have been worth it.

The sound of rocks being moved expands in the air, I look in the direction of the cave and see some rocks coming out of the dark hole, as if something is pushing them out. Suddenly a shadow is thrown out, a few drops of blood are scattered in the air and the sound of flesh falling on the gray bricks, which are gradually stained in a large pool of dark blood. I look better and see the known purple body of the hobgoblin that had attacked us, now dead and shattered on the ground, I continue to watch in amazement at the scene of the muscular beast without his arm on the ground and releasing an absurd amount of blood. I try to observe better and I can see the total absence of his legs and much of his hips, as if they had been pulled out of the body, leaving some pieces hanging and still attached to the corpse.

That bloody sight would have frightened me easily, but no more. If anything was capable of doing damage that size, then it is much stronger than the hobgoblins from before. The idea of having something more powerful than those monsters makes a slight cold start to climb up my spine, but I try my best not to lose focus, as well as my companions, who didn't even seem to care about the existence of the shattered supernatural being in front of us.

More stones start to come out of that hole and its deep, almost endless darkness, a limb of flesh full of muscles and twisted begins to come out, like a horror movie. With his purple and dark scarred skin covering the entire length of that gigantic arm, which reached out and supported his open hand at the entrance to the hole. The big scary hand grabs the ground, sinking its sharp claws into the ground and starts to push to try to lift the rest of its body and take whatever that monster is. Gradually a second arm comes out and makes the same movement as the other identical member and with a final push the rest of the beast finally comes out of the ground. I try to look better but it was still too dark for any characteristic of his very evident body, I was just sure of something ... if I were alone, I would surely die. That thing was a bigger, more muscular version than hobgoblins and a huge bloodlust, in contrast to their crimson eyes that shone in the darkness. He starts walking, taking one step at a time, but with his size it was enough to cover a distance far greater than any normal human being could. With his long strides, he gradually emerged from the darkness and allowed his face to be illuminated by the moonlight.

An animalistic expression, long nose with warts, pointed ears and huge fangs in the lower jaw, which even with his mouth closed, they almost touched his upper lip. I know I was expecting something ugly, but it managed to exceed my expectations.

- It was just that? -I look to the side with quickness and surprise, when Harrold puts one of his hands behind his head and looks at our enemy with a certain dismay, as if he is waiting for something more.

- It's just a general... stone, paper and scissors; to see who's going? - Marcus says next, seeming to follow the swordsman's feeling of disappointment.

- You must be kidding. - I say incredulous with their attitudes, even though they are skilled, I don't think they can bring it down easily. - Helena, can you say anything ... - Before I could say anything, Helena is the first, I hope she puts them in order as before but ... I am not so lucky.

- Here we go! - She pulls the sleeve of her right arm excitedly and prepares for the game. I am beginning to think that the Knights of the Church are crazier than the demons themselves.

Prepared, the three make a circle and leave me out, just watching, making the movement of their closed fists for that idiotic and unnecessary joke. But before they can even begin, a beam of light appears and makes a dark hole in the burnt grass. They just look at the burnt remains of the small plant space with fear, but at the same time do not break their smiles, seeming not to want to make any unnecessary movements on their part. I look up and just see a small opening in the middle of the starry sky, with a long pipe coming out of that hole in the air. Gradually it expands and is the size of a window and the image of a young girl, with blond hair and ponytail, with an angry expression towards the three in front of me.

- You idiots, stop playing and kill that thing at once! - She screams in a high, high-pitched tone, and can be heard all over the place... if I hadn't launched the signal, that voice would surely warn Jax's units.

I look at her and I'm sure it's Helena's other company, Lilith. So I'm not really scared by the surprise attack... I think it was a good thing that she put order.

A loud, severe howl is emitted from our back. I look and see the steroid version of the hobgoblins with their heads towards us, probably attracted by the ray of light. Even a little apprehensive, I am in an attack position to at least delay his movements. Before that thing could even think of anything to make any aggressive move against our group, a burst of multiple luminous shots over its chest and face, it started to burn the muscular skin. The purple monster recedes little by little with a quick and unexpected offensive by the young sniper.

- Move, I want to go home today. - New orders from the annoyed young woman, that we're messing around. - White hair newbie, take this!

Being the only one here with this characteristic, I turn to her and I almost can't react to a small sphere of light that is thrown in my direction. By some miracle I manage to catch it with my hand and when it touches my palm, I see the glow disappear and gradually gives space for a small golden object. It had a curious and twisted shape, leaving me confused with what I should do with it.

- Yuki, here. -Helena, speaking whispering and trying to look me in her direction. I follow her request and see the same object I had received, in Helena's ear.

I no longer need to think with that obvious sign, make me a little ashamed for not having noticed it before. I put the piece of metal in my ear, not knowing its usefulness, but even so I only do as they say. I feel the cold of the metal touching my ear, giving me a little fright with that hard, cold surface touching my skin.

- HIIIII! - A loud, high-pitched sound comes out of the metallic object, almost letting me deaf at that moment, along with a fright I got. - Test ... testing... on listening?

Little by little, uncomfortable noise becomes words, spoken by a young voice that seemed to accommodate my ears. I gradually recover myself until I can pay full attention to the voice that the accessory emitted.

- Lilith, we're listening. - Helena is the first to say something, with her hand lightly touching the replica of the communication object, seeming to be just on a normal work day. - We are ready for anything.

- I'll cover for you, so kill this ugly thing at once. - The young woman speaks in response, in a relaxed way and saying as if that were the obvious. - Yuki, I will guide you through this device. Try not to get in their way. - She says in a rigid and serious way, seeming to focus fully on the mission.

I don't mind being treated that way, maybe I even need an order like that ... someone with the same personality as Jax. Harrold and Marcus don't even wait for the girl's orders, who say nothing about the warriors' actions. I try to understand Lilith's way of leadership as she watched them both jump towards the giant purple-skinned monster. Marcus swiftly strikes the beast's body with lightning speed and begins to swiftly strike the giant goblin's torso and face. The redhead manages to cause several cuts on the purple skin, which was gradually stained by the red of the blood that trickled down his cuts. Marcus looks confident and with a slight smile at his successful attacks.

In the part closest to the ground, Harrold began to attack the monster's legs. With his big shiny sword he begins to cut the flesh of the beast's legs, which lets out a loud, high-pitched howl of pain, almost making the air tremble with the sound of agony that comes out of his mouth full of sharp teeth. He looks in the direction of the rider in anger at the injuries the man has inflicted on his supporting legs. In response to his frightening and angry expression, the knight with a few drops of blood on the shimmering metal of his armor, looks on with a happy smile and excited by the combat.

- I love being the center of attention, but I should worry about that insect over there. - He stands firm, as if nothing can shake him and focusing on his disproportionately large opponent,

Continuing to look in Harrold's direction, failing to understand the meaning of his words. In his moments of observation, a yellow thread flies and cuts his eyes red, like a ray of blinding light. The blood explodes from his red pupils, cut and pouring liters of crimson liquid. Gradually the trail of light begins to take on the known human form and as if dancing in the night air, the glowing figure over the wounded monster's shoulder losing its light completely and revealing the irritated appearance of the redhead with his daggers dripping blood .

- Who are you calling an insect, you stupid old man ?! - He answers angrily, seeming to be more bothered by that insult than by the monster itself.

I watch that scene, impressed by the ease with which they hurt something that big and at the same time did not seem to show such difficulty. I look at Helena and she seemed calm, but at the same time she did not take her eyes off her companions in battle, with her staff wielded and ready to offer her support. The same goes for Lilith, who, even bored, did not take her hands off her weapon. I don't know what to do, I was lost in the middle of that fight, not knowing what I could do. But before I could be arrested for my doubts, a female voice wakes me up to reality, almost killing me from the heart again.

- Newbie, keep an eye and don't despair. - I hear Lilith, looking like an experienced military and at the same time trying to keep my focus on the situation. - If you have a Goblin General here, it means that some small annoyances will try to fight along with this ugly thing.

- But doesn't that mean... you're going to have a big group? - I say nervous, but at the same time preparing for the orders of the young sniper.

- About 300, don't worry. - She speaks as if that were nothing much.

"It can only be a joke..."

- It's not a joke ... - She says with the utmost disinterest in the situation.

I startle slightly when I hear it in my ear, looking like she has read that complaint from my mind.

- Don't scare him Lilith, explain it right. - Helena uses her soft and gentle voice to try to calm me, while at the same time she seemed as serious as the sniper that she dictated those crazy orders.

- Basically, only the little ones will leave, hobgoblins will not help the big one. - She begins to explain her plan to me completely, keeping no useful information out of it. - While they see their leader as an authority, he is also a threat.

I try to understand her words and at the same time started to remember the scene of her hobgoblins soldier's body shattered and flying in the air.

- Their command structure is based on power, the strongest command. - Helena joins the explanation, helping Lilith. -The hobgoblins, do not miss the opportunity to dethrone your commander to take his place in the chain of command.

- Phew ... so I just have to take care of the little ones who leave. - I say calmer when I see that I won't have to fight the horde of hobgoblins again, but at the same time I couldn't calm down completely, managing to feel a cold rising up my back.

- So, good luck. - I hear Lilith again in my ear, with those words of encouragement mixed with disinterest.

- Uh ... don't you have a better motivation? - I say showing my total lack of confidence in the young woman's words.

- That's what we have for today, besides we already have too many problems with the big guy over there. - I look to the sky and I see the small window with our blond-haired combat counselor, supported by the small opening in the sky, as if she were just looking out her own bedroom window.

But his words echo in my head in confusion. The situation seemed quite controlled by Marcus and Harrold, which makes me think that Lilith's words were just unnecessary speech. That thought made me move my face to fight the giant, confident that they were doing well against it. The great purple-skinned being remained with one of his huge hands over his injured eyes, managing to see some red drops running between his fingers. Marcus remained on his shoulder, ready to strike again, while Harrold bloodied with his opponent's crimson liquid, who was unable to react to the pair's attack. That scene couldn't show how wrong Lilith was, but even with that confidence... I don't know why I couldn't stop shaking my whole body.

In a quick and coarse movement of his muscular arm, the big monster tries to hit Marcus, over his shoulder. Cutting through the air and with the force of crushing a concrete wall, his gigantic fist moves towards the young redhead, who can only jump away, managing to land carefully on the concrete floor. Harrold sees Marcus being forced to dodge and heads towards his side to regroup.

- How are you, brat? - Harrold's convinced voice, starting to try to irritate Marcus even in that situation.

- Who knows? - He responds calmly, it is a surprise to me that he did not say something rude in response to Harrold's insult, even Helena seemed surprised by the attitude of the redhead. - Be careful old man, we will have to take this more seriously. - He continues, raising his arms a little, making them visible even to me, Helena and Lilith.

With his movement, to demonstrate the condition of his limbs, a little blood begins to trickle out of small openings in his sleeves, leaving us all a little perplexed, even though we had managed to see him perfectly avoiding that brutal attack.

- He didn't hit me, the pressure he made with his punch was so much that even dodging, the air that covered the fist cut my arms. - Marcus begins to explain what happened, but at the same time it couldn't calm us down.

Even Harrold couldn't say a word about Marcus's injuries.

- Behind you. - Helena screams and makes us all remember that we were in battle. My eyes are taken from Marcus and Harrold, now I only see a giant shadow over them.

In impressive strength the giant goblin extends his open hand and advances against the two who were causing so much pain in his body. His palm hits the floor, lifting some concrete slabs and even making some of the dirt on the sidewalk reveal itself. My eyes lock on that scene, where the place that both Harrold and Marcus were, now crushed by the giant hand breaking the floor. Gradually I try to force my neck up, being able to see the monster's face, not knowing why it made me want to look at his hideous face again, fear or maybe that would bring me some courage to fight back... I was never more mistaken... I only feel despair growing when I see his bloody face. Paralyzed in that position, I can only see all the injuries that our pair of attackers had caused, start to produce a thin, white smoke. From that thin, whitened gas, the wounds that once gave him a great advantage just disappeared, as if he had managed to cauterize those cuts spread over his gigantic body.

The beast now completely healed, as if fighting it had just begun. Lining up his spine, giving the impression that he had gotten bigger. Like a predator showing its superiority in front of its prey, it just looked in our direction with an empty expression... giving much more fear than any wild expression. He howls more, louder than the other, and it is possible to feel that his scream emits a wave of energy strong enough to force us to take a few steps back. We can't even think, when we start to hear a low sound of something crawling inside the den. Like a flock of rats following their leader's orders, the ugly, grotesque-looking goblins begin to emerge from the darkness. Just as Lilith had predicted, but still the hope of an easy victory does not cross my mind, after seeing the goblins commander’s ability to regenerate.

- Stop playing, this thing is not normal. - The young woman's voice comes out of the device again in our ears, in a serious voice, perhaps a little worried about the situation. - Yuki, follow the plan and take care of the little ones, don't worry if any pass, I'll take care of them.

- Roger that. - It was not a time for ease, I leave that inert and hopeless state and advance to have a better aim against soldiers with green and grotesque skin.

Helena On:

Yuki finally turns away from us and positions himself to fight. I was confident of his abilities, so I don't care about his safety against those ugly things. Now I try to focus only on the big problem in front of us. The giant seemed ready to attack us, focusing mainly on Marcus and Harrold, probably because they had hurt him earlier.

Even though it is unfavorable to them, it is very good for me. With that I can use my spells without worrying about that thing turning on me.

- It looks like we're going to have to take the job seriously. - I say in a loud tone, preparing my staff and placing both hands on its silver metal.

- Yes ma'am. - Harrold's tired voice, even demotivating, calmed me in a way, making my shoulders less tense. The older knight just begins to walk forward calmly while placing his sword on his shoulder, hitting the metal of his armor against the metal of the blade.

- I was already taking this seriously. - Marcus just follows him, as serious as before, being something typical of the young man. He just whacks his daggers in the air, in order to clean his sharp metal from the blood of the great giant.

- So hurry up, I want to go home. - Lilith too, now not seeming to be so worried anymore, the recovery of the beast, even though it was a surprise, was not enough to make us enter despair in the middle of the battle.

Prepared, the two men go on ahead. Perceiving its approach, the purple being acts fast, seeming not to want to be cut again. Moving his leg quickly to kick, compared to his size, advancing against Harrold.

- Come here! - Locking your muscles and staying still, almost breaking the pavement floor with the strength of your feet, ready to receive the full force of the giant kick. - lux clypeus!*

*Light shield

From his arm, which did not carry the sword, a small but condensed sphere of light forms on the back of his hand. With each inch of the purple foot in attack position approaching, the sphere quickly takes on a larger, shimmering shield shape. Even feeling Harrold's defense, it was too late for the monster to stop its attack, finally touching its flesh to the magical piece of holy light. As the giant limb forces against the golden shield, the more force the knight did on his feet and fracturing the ground further.

Normally, someone in that situation would be tense, focused or even scared to have to face such an attack, but Harrold just smiles more than before, showing his appreciation for that fight. He was always someone who draws the sword, before asking any questions. An honorable warrior, who thought only of the emotion of the battle and the spirit of the warriors, regardless of whether this was his last fight or not.

- What's the problem, is that it !? He was standing firm, with a few pieces of concrete protruding from the floor, with Harrold not caring if any of the pieces cut the skin on his face.

I stay focused on the battle of strength, focused on any movement that could cause Harrold big problems, while Lilith just watched from afar and returned to her normal disinterest. Even though I knew he could handle it, a certain nervousness goes through my mind and I feel my hands get a little shaky, with the enemy in front of me, I don't know what to expect from him, keeping me firm and ready for anything. In the midst of my doubts, I can only see a yellow flash climbing the monster's body, using its muscular and slightly twisted joints as a ladder. When the illuminated body rises over the giant goblin's shoulders, the light around him ceases a little and Marcus's silhouette appears again, with his blades ready to cut meat.

The young redhead leaps into the air and advances on the monster's unprotected neck. Again with the speed of lightning he travels through the air, cutting the night wind with his daggers, focused on his prey. But it wouldn't be that easy this time. In a quick reaction from the beast, it moves it gigantic hand and tries to hit Marcus in the air. Even with little speed, it will do a great deal of damage to the redhead's thin body, in addition to the fall he would suffer. With my companion in danger, I move my artifact and direct the stone towards Marcus, eyes wide in the direction of the big purple palm with intentions to hurt his body.

- Domine, separate corpus tuum!* - I invoke accurately and carefully not to recite wrongly, holding the cold white metal staff. Seeming to hear my words, the green stone begins to light up the fight. With my eyes on Marcus, just focusing on his body shape.

*Lord, separate your body

Like a layer of silk, the thin screen of light begins to come out of Marcus' back and quickly covers his body, forming a dome around him. The big hand continues its course, until it finally touches the thin protective layer with its giant fingers with some warts on the skin. Touching that gold, the dome of light falls apart, but at the same time Marcus's body seemed to dissolve together, as if it were sand in the air. Clothes, skin and hair become a blur, while mixing with the yellowish sand. In a rough movement, the giant does not stop its attack and crosses the colored sand, which seemed to be lost.

I see the opening and move my lighted staff again. Like a symphony that followed the conductor and his commands, the colored particles belonging to my teammate move. The color forms a thread, which starts to put all its pieces together while I repositioned them on the head with little white hair of the monster, confused while looking at his hand and failing to understand why I did not get it right.

- Domine, corpus unitum.* - My mouth moves again and with one last movement of my artifact. The sand that I commanded, formed a ball and gradually the gold separated from the other colors and became part of the sphere around the others. As if he were watching a film backwards, the rest of the particles began to return to their place and little by little they redraw the body of the young rogue. - Marcus!

*Lord, united body

When completed, he opens his eyes and wakes up. Using his own weight as an impulse, he falls in a straight line again aiming at his opponent's purple nape. Cutting through the air with your blades and with it the monster's flesh. Because he doesn't understand very well, the goblin commander, it takes time to feel the pain of Marcus's precise attack, then sketching his discomfort with a new howl.

- How dense! - Marcus is not moved by the sound that the beast lets out, while holding the handle of his daggers stronger than ever and using all the strength of his hands to stick the rest of the blade into the skin and flesh of that thing.

Your arm muscles are tense and push as hard as you can to stick all the sharp parts of your daggers inside the purple neck. In a stimulus to crush what caused his pain, the monster moves his hands in despair to try to stop that horrible sensation from his body. Moving his two hands, he tries to crush the redhead again on the back of his neck, just like any fly. But Marcus' sharp eyes can see the giant's awkward way of attacking, he won't be caught this time. Releasing the handle of his daggers, he simply leaves them inside the putrid flesh, while causing continued pain. Leaving his arms immobile, due to the excess of strength before, and now he tries to concentrate all his remaining strength to his legs. In a precise leap he throws himself to the top of the purple beast's head, stepping on some of the dirty white threads, and dodging the first hand. Slightly delayed, the second attack comes from the other direction. Marcus just looked at the palm, without any fear in his eyes, seeming to expect it to get closer.

A long beam of light appears in front of the young man standing on his monstrous head, hitting his attacker's wrist and spouting a great deal of blood in the air. I don't even move my head back and see the smoke coming out of the barrel of Lilth's gun, which made it seem like using a gun of that caliber was an easy thing. Without getting out of the fight, Harrold, who still kept his shield by keeping his big foot without moving, starts pushing the big monster with his own brute force. As the beast was busy with Marcus and Lilith's attacks, the older knight had no problem pushing his body. It wasn't a long way, but it was enough for that thing to step back and lose some of its balance.

- Got you! - The knight says confident and still excited about the strength dispute, taking a leap and just like Marcus, using his opponent's own leg as a platform. The metal of his shoes hits the flesh and sinks with a strong thrust, enough to make a footprint on the purple skin.

Even though it looks very heavy, Harrold doesn't bother making that jump. Using the strength of his leg muscles, he throws himself into the air and faces the beast's face. His humanoid expression but at the same time with animalistic marks, eyes in a sinister red tone, only saw the silhouette of Harrold with the light shield in one hand and his sword in the other. Marcus realized that it was not good for him to be on the goblin's head and jumped away.

When he realizes that there was no one else in his way, Harrold does not hold on or rather he can no longer hold on. The golden shield manufactured by the knight's sacred energy, lost its elegant shape and gradually the object of protection is restructured and takes the form of a thick and long illuminated rope. The new shiny shape wastes no time and moves as fast as a snake, involving the extension of Harrold's blade. Adjusting the sharp points of the weapon, without hesitation he attacks and makes a long cut against the monster, who had perceived the threat of that attack, but was unable to do anything, nor to deflect or much less defend himself, just looking at the knight carrying the weapon. shining sword in his direction, cutting the air along with his grotesque life.

Harrold cuts through the air, without touching the purple flesh of the beast, his silver sword did not need to cut through his disgusting skin or stain it with its rotten blood. Still in the air and falling gently, after his final attack, the light dried up and his sword was back to normal. The monster did not seem to understand his situation, thinking that the attack had been flawed, he tries to attack again and extends his giant hand, with an open palm and wanting to crush Harrold's body, until his blood gushed everywhere. When the beast almost touches a strand of my companion's brown hair, a gush of blood covers the ground with red, but it was not human blood. A long red line, starting from the middle of his head, up to his waist. From that crimson trail on the purple body, a long and dense gust of blood begins to come out of the gigantic body, like a big red waterfall. His attack stops, giving small spasms with his fingers and soon after his knees succumb to the great loss of blood, with one last and useless effort he tries to move another inch to hurt Harrold, if only a little, but the rest his body surrenders involuntarily and the great Commander Goblin was now on the ground. The fall of the body against the ground, causes a great tremor to reach our feet, along with a small gust of wind with the impact. Watching the fall of his enemy, Harrold lands roughly but convinced of his victory.

- How about this brat !? -He places his sword on his shoulder, looking at Marcus out of the corner of his eye, convinced of his skills.

- Not bad for a relic as a knight. - I would be surprised if Marcus gave a compliment to the man in silver armor and with a little blood of the enemy spread over the body.

- Aff... try to do better then. - Harrold again incites the young man, who just shrugged. I don't want to separate the two at that moment, so I just step forward in front of my allies.

Passing by Harrold and Marucs, almost starting a new discussion, walking slowly and elegantly, I stand in front of the big fallen monster and bathed in its own blood. I look at it with some disgust, but at the same time it was a common sight for me, the blood spreading across the floor and the cut meat. Gradually it reminds me that that job was not something for someone with a weak stomach. I just watch that bloody scene and tighten my grip on my metal staff, almost hurting my own fingers on the metal of my artifact.

- Helena... - I hear Lilith speaking in a subtle and gentle way in my ear. Her soft voice makes me smile and that bad feeling disappears and I feel my fingers less tense with the situation.

- Thank you Lilith, but don't worry. - I take a deep breath and lift my spine, having my respectful posture on our opponent's body. Feeling a little bit of the cold of the night and finally focusing my hearing on the other sounds of the night, which would be most minor screams along with the sound of small lightnings.

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see the scene of our young white-haired escort fighting the weakest opponents. Yuki remained focused on his opponents, being something incredible that none of them had passed by the novice, probably most of the goblins were afraid to see their boss being killed, but I will not take the merit of the young man. Alternating between magic lightning and a dagger, he moves in a precise and well-trained way... something he certainly didn't look like... something he certainly shouldn't have become.
