" And that's how I met your brother..."
" Pffft!"
Seeing her laugh is quite a scene. Her eyes are curving into a smile and she looks sparkling. It looks like the chilly atmosphere is gone.
I can tell she not sociable in the first place but would you look at that?
I feel somewhat...relieved.
" And then (chat chat chat)"

It's getting quite noisy outside...
Hmm?
Oh, we are already out of the forest and it's a village!
It's been a while since I left the mansion for a vacation on our estate here in the southern lands. How nostalgic.
" Oh, this is the first time I crossed the southern borders... the village is pretty.." Lilian said while staring at the window.
And I unconsciously looked at the princess who's staring at the window.
" Actually, I've never been outside the palace, really."
"!!!"
Eh?
What?!
She never experienced going outside the palace? That's impossible! It's nearly impossible for the princess to not go out because it's common for her to attend parties and buy dresses or jewels in the town. So how can she be isolated in the palace in her life?
" O-oh! I mean I've never been outside since last year, that's what I'm stating."
Oh...
Right... Caspian said she's been acting odd since last year. I don't know what kind of 'odd' it was but I can definitely sense it.
" Is that so, your hi- Camilla?" -Lilian.
Camilla just nodded.
" It's getting dark already, we must find an inn." I said to the coachman through the small hole to reach him.
" Yes, milady." he shortly replied.

The coachman asked the inn employees if there are any rooms for 9 people.
I'm actually curious if there will be any rooms for that many people but I guess this world has rooms that are suitable for many persons. We will only need to find a place to stay for one night and in the morning, we will continue our trip.
Or we can just rent the whole inn. We have Caspian on our side after all.
But he's not that kind of person to abuse his authority. We can't just order the people who paid for the inn to leave. If the prince would actually do it, then I'll never be his friend. I hate people who abuse people.

Anyways, some inns don't have enough rooms so the coachman said " I guess most of the inns are fully booked, milady. But would you mind if we check the inn right there?" The coachman said and pointed to a large inn.
I don't see any problems with the building.
" Is there something wrong about it?" I asked.
We're still inside the carriage so the coachman pointed the shop beside the inn through the carriage's window.
And there, my eyes grew big. Lilian became aware of the situation too.
It's a bar.
And who's the idiot who built a bar right next to an inn? Does he or she have a conscience? The inn must be near bankruptcy because of that bar. An inn's purpose is to provide a place to stay for the night, and because of the bar's noise--haa... poor inn.
" All the inns are full, I guess we don't have a choice." I said with a sigh.
Out of curiosity, I checked Camilla's reaction to the bar.

I don't get why her eyes are sparkling, but anyways, we stepped out of the carriage.
" I'll go to the carriage's headquarters now, milady." said the coachman. I nodded and he left.
I can see the boys' carriages heading our way too.
As the boys stepped out of the carriages, the carriage left and went in the same direction as our carriage.
" Whew! My butt's gone numb!" Kenji said while holding his butt.
" Pfft!" -us.
" Hey..." Cal walked towards me. He seems to have to converse with me about something.
The others are chatting with each other about how their trip went.
" We saw unconscious bandits in the forest, is that you're doing?" he asked with a serious face.
" Yeah!" I boasted.
And what?! Are you gonna nag at me?
" Are you hurt?"
!!!
What?
You're asking me if I'm hurt?
Before I knew it, I turned red.
Because I'm pissed.
T-t-t-t
This bastard! He still looks down on me?!
" They're weaklings, there's no way I'm hurt." I said arrogantly.

This girl... really...
Flashback

We bought some snacks for our trip.
And then I returned to the carriage with the prince and Kenji.
...
The carriage entered the forest peacefully.
But then minutes later, we saw some men dressed like bandits. Two of them are unconscious and the other two have a broken arm and leg. They're trying to get up and leave the road. They also caught the attention of Kenji and the crown prince.
" Pffft!"
I don't know why Kenji laughed but for some reason, I'm having a feeling of concern.
" Kenji?" -me.
" Oh, you didn't notice? They looked like they were beaten by a certain person."
!!!
And then the crown prince joined the conversation too.
" She became a bit harsh..."
That woman is responsible for this. She's so reckless.
" Should we help these men, my lords?" the coachman interfered.
" No..." the two of them said coldly. It's icy!
"...?"
From what I knew, Kenji is so kind for his own good and the crown prince loved all the people of the empire. Why are they being so icy cold? It's not like them at all.
" I know Velvet, even though she's an idiot, she has fine judgment. She wouldn't hurt them without a reason..." -Crown Prince.
" Grrr...How dare they threaten my cousin and my friend?"
" Not to mention my sister's in there..."
The crown prince looks calm but I sense the dark aura around him. Kenji, on the other hand, is openly showing his emotions and gritting his teeth.
His love for his cousin and his friend is really pure.
I can see the bandits moving fast to go away.
" It's a good thing they're moving fast, if Lucas finds out then they will be in huge trouble." said the crown prince.
Indeed...
It's really scary if that sister-obsessed guy's mad.
But I wonder if that woman's hurt, these bandits might be assassins or professionals...
END OF FLASHBACK
As I checked her condition, the bandits earlier are amateurs.
And this girl's still being proud of herself.
" What?! They pointed a knife??!!"

Oh goodness...
Why would Lilian be telling the story to the sister-obsessed guy?!?!
Lilian was startled and Lucas is coming this way! To Velvet!
" What did those bastards do to you?!" he said while holding both of his sister's arms.
His face is so red because of the anger rising on his head.
" Brother..."
COLD!
CHILLS!
Is it winter season already?!
" I understand your concern, but I think you know me very well."
And then, Lucas fell silent.
TREMBLE TREMBLE
The guys are holding back their laughter!
Is it really wrong for us to be concerned? If I'm acting the way Lucas acts toward Velvet...
then am I obsessed with her too????!
Ha!
There's no way!!!
There's no way I'm gonna look like an idiot like this big brother of hers.
Lucas then finally opened his mouth.
" S-sorry..."
He whimpered.
His eyes are so sparkly and teary.
He looks just like a puppy...
Velvet Pattinson's Point of View
We headed straight to the inn and brought some of our clothes. The room we rented for a night is big enough for us.
It's a suite or an apartment-style. With a living room, and 5 bedrooms ( 2 beds and a bathroom each).
The design is simple but the room is quite big.
We rest in the living room for a bit because we're exhausted from the trip. But the princess looks distracted.
"...?"
And finally, she opened her mouth...
" I'm gonna go get some fresh air..."
She caught our attention and the prince refused her idea.
" You can't go outside alone..."
"I'll go with her..."
The prince then looked at me.
He realized that when the princess is with me, nothing dangerous will happen. He then nodded. Some of the other guys really looked exhausted so they don't want to join us, including Lilian.
The crown prince nodded.
I left the room together with Camilla.
While walking through the hallways, I opened a conversation...
" Where would you like to go, princess?"
She looked at me.
" Promise me that you'll join me..." she said with sincerity in her eyes.
I replied, " Of course, the crown prince allowed me to."
She smiled.
And her answer is...
" To the bar!"
