"The palace in the capital city of Dharmapuri was quiet. Most of the rooms in the 1500 room palace were either dark or had minimum lighting. The Royal Palace Guard patrolled the corridors while some stood sentry before the rooms. Everything seemed to be as normal as any night in the history of the empire. The night was peaceful; too peaceful in fact for the Captain of the Palace Defence - just like the calm before the storm! He thought nervously. The night seemed to get on his nerves. He prayed to Lord Vighneswara that nothing should go wrong while he was on duty. But then, man proposes, god disposes!"
