Chapter Three – Little Notes

Amber surrounds my head; soft, heavenly strands of amber hair fill my conscience. My arms yearn for the touch of porcelain skin, awaiting the sweet sensation it entails. My heart pounds faster by the second when reminiscing the smile that made my world so vivid. Again, again, and again; faster and faster, my heart pounds. I feel my blood rush all over the place. To my cheeks, my head, my heart, and, well, other places I cannot name. My eyes meet deep ocean eyes, full of expression and simultaneously, so much mystery. A smile rushes to my face as I hear her giggle. Becca; It's you. I don't know what makes you so, irresistible, but you have me hooked; stuck in your little web. She starts to open her delicate lips to speak; "Hey!" She cheers, "Hey, A!" My dreaming is cut short when I feel an abyss suck me out of my own head and thrusts me into a pit of black and white.

I wake up with a sudden jerk of my shoulders. My alarm clock blares so loudly, my brain can barely process what I just saw while I slept. I look over to see the time displayed on the noisy machine; It reads '7:45 am'. Shit! I'm going to be so late! I leap out of my bed so fast that all my blood rushed to my head. I nearly trip over everything in my room as I sprint to put clothes on and grab my school bag. I run out the door without grabbing any food, placing one foot in front of the other as fast as my legs could handle.

It has been a few weeks since Becca has first entered my class. Everyday more color divinely douses my vision and dances in my mind. It's all because of her; Becca. Everyday's highlight is seeing Becca, seeing her laugh, giggle, smile, her ocean eyes and amber hair. She so amazing.

The second bell for class rings as I enter the school. As I slip into class, I notice that Becca is sitting in the desk next to my normal seat. I carefully sit down, as to not disturb her. "Hey Be-"

"Shhh." She interrupts me with. Becca, what does shhh mean beside be quiet? Wait, are you telling me to shut up?! After a moment of awkward silence, she passes me a note. It reads: 'Sorry, but sir is apparently in a bad mood today, or so I've heard.' Oh okay. So, she's not ghosting me. She passes me another note that has a heart on the front, accompanied by my name. Oh my god! She put a heart on it! Why am getting flustered? I open the note to see strange instructions from Becca.

'Hey A! I was wondering if you could meet me in the field behind the school after classes end for today! I want to talk to you. I want to clarify something. Meet me there? Love, Becca.' Hold the damn phone, WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BY CLARIFY SOMETHING? WELL THERE GOES MY CONFIDENCE FOR THE DAY! That aside, should I accept? I know that if I don't, she may not like me, or worse, she may not want to see me again. I can't bare that! If I go, I might hear something I don't want to. Well, that's better than getting ghosted. Fine, I'll go.

A little bit scared, I turn to Becca and nod, signifying that I will meet here there. Becca gives me a keen smile and wink, and suddenly my heart is out of commission. Well, now I just have to make it through the rest of the day. Yay me. What if, what if she's onto me? What if she knows I feel, something? I'm not sure what, or how, but it is certainly there! Does she know? More importantly, does she feel the same? Please, Becca, keep my world in color!
