Chapter 42 - The Prince and The Queen I
Lucas's childhood memories is rather lonely, he spend most of his time in Camellia palace from grow up, lesson to playing. Until he is seven years old he started to yearn outside world.
In large luxurious room, Lucas took a pillow and bunch of clothing. He dress up the pillow with His fitting long Sleeve cloth and then stuffed them with other clothing until it become his human sized version pilow, then he put his human version pillow in bed, stuffed some cloth as his head and cover them in blanket and
-TA DA!
His sleeping version is done! so when there is maid checking him, there would be no problem!
Luckily he used to sleeping covering his head with blanket, the next step is he wear loose and comfortable cloth that easy to move, off course he couldn't just wear anything so he secretly looking for gardening cloth! the last step is he hide his hair in beanie hat.
Lucas didn't know how other hair but in palace he rarely see other people with the same hair color as him, his mother hair color is black and other usually is chestnut or dark brown.
At the moment Lucas stand still, with his eyes closed, his mind focused on his hearing, until he make sure there is no one else in vicinity he jumped out his window soundly then closed them, jumping high to the nearby tree and took out a small bag hanging in there, his move is smooth and precise.
After he succeessfully out of Carmilla palace, he let out sign of relive. Happily humming and looking for some nice place.
He refrain himself from climbing the roof in fear someone especially knight saw him.
Sometimes Lucas arrived at garden or other palace, running and jumping everywhere avoiding patrol and servant, once he feel hungry he would muching on bread or jerky he bought from the bag. It was some little dish he could bring when he eat from breakfeast. Up until now he would always feel pity each time he saw the sumptuous dish is not cleared. He wonder why? but then he feel reassured that the leftover dish would be eaten by servant.
In the next moment he arrived in a beautiful palace, the palace is adorned in various colored rose, unlike his big but gloomy palace, this palace is majestic and have an elegance vibe especially from the garden and new painted wall.
Actually Lucas could guess whose palace is it from his tutor's description. Regadless, his curiousity win over him. That is because this is the only time he could be sure that mother and aunt is on vacation.
He walk to the side palace, the rose garden and at next moment he walk to the hallway looking at how unique the building is, then he come back to the garden again, looking for comfortable place to relax.
So Lucas found empty spot surrounded by rose flower, he sat down on the ground directly, Hmmm... he like this, cause in normal days the maid would repriment him.
He look at the sky, The moon and star look dazzling, and how the cloud move. Lucas always like to see the sky, because they keep changing like his emotion, rain, clear, clouded, and Strom. They are interesting.
Lucas always sensitive with sound and smell, he could smell a fragrance parfume and a movement near him. He though,
'The bushes already covering me, and it would be suspicious of he move suddenly.'
So he lowered himself, more like he sleeping on the grass, still looking at the sky, but he didn't expect that a shadow would cover his vision.
He is surprised for a moment, but he is not someone who would scream because of it.
"What are you doing here kid?"
a melodic but dignified vois rang in his ear, and the falling of pale blonde stard hair illuminated by Moonlight is like Goddess visit.
Using his hand, Lucas tried to get up, but when he just almost standing planning to greed 'Her Majesty', He become stunned as she pat his shoulder and instructed him to just sit down.
"Don't tell other, What are you doing here?"
Lucas look at Her Majesty who leisury sit down on the floor, he had been educated that it was unbecoming for Noble, even more royal family to lower themself. Still, he feel happy that he is not the only one who enjoy this.
Lucas lower his Beanie hat,
"I Greet Her Majesty, the star of the night. This servant just checking the garden but can't control himself to enjoy the secenry. This servant plead Her Majesty forgiveness."
Lucas tried to leave, but
"Then stay here, and give me your food!"
Order the Queen.
Lucas : "Pardon?" he tried to process for fee minute then "Ah! I am sorry! here they are ... I hope Her Majesty didn't mind my humble food."
Lucas took various food in his bag, and handed them.
The Queen accept the bread and beef jerky, she look at the bag full of food.
"You should eat more vegetable, it not good just eating meat and bread."
well? how did she know?
Its true that most of his dish is meat,
He himself didn't eat vegetable except soup, because he feel like the vegetable is not fullfilling.
Still, it first time someone remind him so he answer rather shy.
"Alright, I will do it."
The Queen smiled, it was a beautiful carved smile shinning like star.
"Good boy!" She patted his head, the soft touch in his head feel good even if there is hat between them, especially because his mother is Indifferent to him except her expectation nfor him to become the king.
After she done disgesting his food and some random talk with Lucas, she leave.
"I see you are a new hired, next time try not to wander alone at night. Even if its palace, still it could be dengerous for kid like you!"
Lucas bowed his head,
"Thank you your Majesty! I will remember your kindness!"
Lucas look at the receeding slender back of the Queen, it was not his first encounter with her.
He met her sometimes in ball or ceremony but they just greet each other like stranger, even more his mother is just concubine so he seldom have a chance to attend formal event.
He always thought she is cold, but it nice to see other people other side.
