Finally, they made it inside the castle. Ary was soaking wet. Out of nowhere woman with emerald robes and a black pointy hat appeared. She had her greyish hair into a tight but and wore square glasses on her nose. Ary recognized her as Minerva McGonagall. Sophia had told her that McGonagall was if she remembered correctly head of Gryffindor house.
"Hello, students I'm professor McGonagall and I'll be your transfiguration teacher for the remainder of your years. Now, before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses, there are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and..." she paused and made direct eye contact with Ary "Slytherin. It seems that they're ready for your sorting, Follow me!"
With that being said the gigantic wooden door opened and McGonagall let them inside, of what appeared to be the Great Hall. For a moment Ary forgot about everything and just started admiring the beauty of this huge room. Candles were floating everywhere and the ceiling looked like the night sky. Of course, she knew it was just a simple charm but it was beautiful even though it was cloudy and dark outside. Colours of the four houses were probably the most outstanding thing there, each colour on top of each house's table. There were five tables total, one for each house and one for the teachers.
The first years were staring at it with awe, that was until McGonagall continued.
"When I call your names, you must come out and sit here, so that you cant get sorted." Ary did not know why but she was beginning to have a soft spot for the woman. She just looked so familiar, It felt like Ary had known her for years.
McGonagall started calling out names in alphabetical order. Ary watched every first-year getting sorted. Students were already curious, nobody has ever seen a student being left without sorting, but confusion didn't last long as Dumbledore started talking.
"This year we are having transfer student from Beauxbatons, Aurora McKinnon." among hearing Ary's last name, everyone had a different reaction. Some of them who had heard about the McKinnon family started whispering to their friends. Things like 'Is she Marlene Mckinnon's daughter?' and 'I thought every McKinnon was murdered by you-know-who' was heard. Teachers were in their own world. The older ones were shocked, who wouldn't be?! They just saw Marlene McKinnon's younger version, except Aurora had mixed coloured eyes instead of soft brown ones. But Two men's face was probably a whole new story.
