Another few days in L'Manburg had passed, which had been eventful, sure, but nothing too bad.

y/n had comforted both Ghostbur and Fundy, after the whole adoption thing, which hadn't gone well in the end. She had met the new people, who didn't seem to really want to do much, other than settle down in a new area.

Another traveller who y/n and Tubbo had been talking about, who they found out his name was Ranboo, was due to arrive today.

It had been going well in L'Manburg, almost too well...

——

y/n shook her intrusive thoughts away, seeing that Tubbo had texted her to ask if she wanted to help with something in L'Manburg. She had replied, informing him that she would be there in in a few minutes, then opening Tommy's message.

Tomathy💿

Hey y/n want to join me and the new guy Ranboo for some fun??

I already told Tubbo I'd help him but I'll probs c u later don't do anything stupid ok?

Ofc not

——

y/n laughed slightly, putting her phone away and heading over to meet with Tubbo.

——

"Who the fuck burnt my HOUSE DOWN!" y/n and Tubbo were interrupted by a very angry George, a short while after they had started with their construction work. He was screaming, and looked pretty stressed.

"George, are you okay?" y/n questioned, as the boy approached the two cousins.

"No, I am not SOMEONE BURNT MY FU-

"George, George calm down, I'll get Dream," Tubbo assured him, getting out his phone to message Dream. y/n continued comforting the obviously distressed boy as Dream arrived, in only a minute.

"George, what's up?" he panted, out of breath, "Tubbo said you needed me!"

"You know my holiday home?"

"Yes."

"Well, someone went and burnt that down!" George exclaimed. y/n knew he'd probably only care about this for a short time. Wasn't it best to just leave it?

"We're going to get to the bottom of this."

Dream had other ideas.

——

Dream and Tubbo headed outside to talk, leaving y/n and George sat in an awkward silence together. Tubbo came back in shortly after, looking mire distressed, than probably ever.

"Dream's building a wall around L'Manbburg and he's not going to take in down until someone owns up!" Tubbo spoke quickly, his words seeming to mush together.

"Why? We don't know who did it they might not even live here!" y/n reasoned. But then it hit her.

It all lined up perfectly, didn't it?

But it had to be a coincidence, Tommy wouldn't...

Would he?

Was he peer pressured?

Who was this Ranboo guy anyways?

"y/n, are you listening to me?" Tubbo asked, snapping the girl back into reality.

"Um, yes...no."

"Well, I said that Dream said he had a strong feeling he knew who it was, despite having no eveidence, and apparently they live in L'Manburg," Tubbo, sighed, on the verge of tears.

"It's going to be fine, whatever happens, we'll all stick together, won't we?"

"We will," Tubbo stepped outside, y/n following him, into the chaos.

——

Fundy, Tommy, Niki, Dream, George, Quackity, Puffy, and a new guy who y/n assumed was Ranboo, all shouted over each other.

"STOP!" Tubbo ordered at once. The group all turned to look at him, going silent, "the only way we are going to resolve this is through words, and order! L'Manburg cabinet, follow me! Dream, we will speak again soon."

Tubbo strode away, y/n, Quackity, Fundy and Tommy followed him, as the others stuck around L'Manburg, still talking.

But the moment had passed.

Tubbo had changed already, like something snapping into place. Maybe it was the voices, maybe it was something else, but something changed his outlook on life, and how he should run a country.

Nobody knew yet.

——

"Tommy I swear to god you're such an idiot," y/n whispered to the boy. She'd knew he'd done it, there was no denying, everything just added up.

Tommy didn't reply.

"Ahem," Tubbo began, eyeing Tommy, "We are here to address the situation at hand. Dream had built obsidian walls around L'Manburg, which is not okay."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"He's claiming things about the agreements we made, claiming that we overthrew the government. I don't think this is done without motive, Dream has to have been provoked."

Tubbo turned his head as he slowly interrogated everyone with his eyes. y/n felt Tommy tense beside her. She didn't know what to say, do, or feel. Was a decision going to be made.

What was going to happen?

"We are people of power," Tubbo continued, "And if Dream wanted to hurt L'Manburg, we'd be the number one targets. So Tommy, I'll cut to the chase alright, what have you done?"

Tommy's eyes darted around the room, shooting guilty glances at y/n. She just shrugged back at him, not being able but to reflect on the words I'll cut to the chase, alright.

"I-I've just been me," Tommy stated, confidence in his voice faltering.

"Yeah, George just came here and started moaning about his house, I find it a little strange he just starts blaming us," Quackity defended. Fundy and y/n nodded in agreement.

"I think the best thing would be to talk to him, and Dream," Tubbo decided.

They all nodded once again and went to speak with Dream and George.

——

"Dream I'd like to start by pointing the attention to the elephant in the room, being the massive obsidian borders around L'Manburg. I'd like to know, was there any motive behind this?" Tubbo questioned at once.

"Just-just trying to help."

"I don't see how this is helpful in any ways?"

"Well, we signed an agreement-

y/n tuned out of the conversation. She wasn't one for politics, and plus, this conversation was pointless anyways, it was clearly about George's house, nothing else.

"I was fine with that until TOMMY decided to attack George's house, and for what?"

Everyone argued again, getting nowhere, Tommy blaming everyone he could think of, Dream wanting to punish him.

"You aren't going to punish me, right? Because I didn't do anything!"

"y/n, Big Q, Fundy, we need to discuss this elswhere," Tubbo urged. They trailed after him once again.

——

"So what should we do about it then?" Fundy asked.

"I don't think it's fair for us to just decide now, about Tommy's punishment, we shouldn't just jump to conclusions."

They all agreed.

"We should further this case at the courthouse."

And so, they did.

——

After a lot more arguing and convincing, Tommy finally did as he was told, and stepped into one of the cells.

Quackity and y/n assured Tommy that they were with him, as Tubbo approached them.

"I'm on your side, Tommy," the boy said in a sickly sweet voice. It was slightly scary.

After more bickering, Tommy's trial was finally under way.

——

George started to explain his point of view, so obviously being melodramatic, but it was enough for Dream.

"So, I saw Tommy running away, but it wasn't just Tommy..."

The room fell eerily silent, waiting for George to continue.

"I saw Ranboo."

Everyone gasped collectively.

"Ranboo!" Fundy exclaimed.

"Ranboo, I'm going to have to ask you to step in this cell here," Tubbo ordered.

"No Tubbo, listen, I-I have three witnesses, one of them was Ranboo, and the others were Puffy and Niki. They-they were only with me last night after..." Tommy spoke , his voice laced with fear.

y/n could tell Tommy was panicking. But she couldn't decide what to do. It was like being stuck between and obsidian wall and the Nether. She didn't want to choose between Tommy and Tubbo.

——

Tommy was desperate at this point. He was still trying to make it seem as if he hadn't griefed George's house, only robbed some of the items. But that was still as bad.

"Tommy, I have been advised to-to banish you," Tubbo announced.

y/n's gaze averted to Tubbo. He wouldn't. Tommy was his best friend.

"No Tubbo! You have to listen to me, I didn't do anything wrong. If anything, it's Dream who should be punished!" He pleaded.

"Tommy why do you assume that you're the smartest in the room?"

Dead silence.

"Tommy, you should be listening to ME! I'm the president," Tubbo snapped, "Tommy, I'm with you just-

"Get me out of this cell then," Tommy uttered.

"No."

"I said, GET ME OUT OF THIS CELL!"

"I SAID NO!"

The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The dispute lasted for a while longer until Tubbo made a decision that Tommy would be monitored for a few weeks whilst a decision was made.

Tommy argued it, but eventually agreed woth the decision reuctantly.

"What should we do with Ranboo?" Karl asked.

"Nonono- guys listen to me, Ranboo had nothing to do with it, it was just me," Tommy reasoned.

"Okay Ranboo, you are free to leave."

The two of them were let out of their cells. Tommy huffed as Ranboo ran away quickly, before anyone could change their minds, but not before giving Tommy a grateful glance.

——

"Tommy all your actions from now-

"Tubbo, why are you doing this?"

"I have no choice, you are putting L'Manburg in jepoardy."

"Tubbo please, just listen. By making Wilbur the president of L'Manburg, I put L'Manburg into safe hands. But he put you in power, and I was still very happy for you... but I knew it would break our friendship apart."

"Tommy I trusted you to be in power, yes you are my friend, but it's going to affect us as a country, if you take brash actions," Tubbo explained.

He hadn't said best friend.

"But Tubbo why would you even consider-

"Tommy, all you actions will have consequences on our nation. Someone who... doesn't matter. But the point is, you're putting us at risk," Fundy reasoned.

——

More arguing, bickering and fighting followed, but none of it mattered. y/n was struggling to make her decision, but she knew she'd come to find her voice eventually. Three days until the final decision.

Three sleepless nights.

The thunder had just started.
