CHAPTER 24
"How is this feasible? There has never been an issue of theft in my house." Liam lamented. He was on the phone with someone. I yawned and turned to the other side. Granny was lying peacefully on the bed. Liam looked very much like his granny. They had the same serious and cute look when they were asleep. "Sure. I think that's the only solution. I'll call the cops."
"No!" I jumped up.
"Hannah, what's wrong?" He walked over to my side. "Did you have a bad dream?"
"Not really. About the cops' thing."
"Oh, you see, there's been a case of theft in my house. 10 million was stolen from our wardrobe last night. I think the thief must have walked in when we were all paranoid about Granny's accident."
"Oh, Lord," I whispered. Liam had already found out about the 10 million. I told him about how Paul died but I couldn't bring myself to tell him that I stole his 10 million.
