In the near future, more near than we choose to believe, society has broken down, with wealthy men owning slaves, typically women, as a sign of prestige.



Our heroine is one such slave. She remembers before the apocalypse, but only a little. She knows her only hope is to be married to a Master and her chance is coming soon.



After a bewildering experience, meeting her new Master, she is taken along as a co-conspirator to end great tyranny in Vastness, starting with the lords and ladies who keep the slave trade alive and well.
