Aftermath

Before we touch the ground we stop an inch above it everyone hears a voice say," Get them to bed. Do not panic they will not wake for at least twenty-four hours. They will also need food. You all did well my children I am proud of you."

Steve has some guards take the elves to their rooms and they carry William to his house. Steve takes me to our room. Before he goes any further he tells the Bata to release everyone from the bunkers. Summer rushes home to take care of William and everyone else settles down for the night.

The next morning I wake up to an empty bed. I get up and shower then go down to see Cassie. At the bottom of the stair I stop for a minute because the room seems to move. Cassie and Summer look up at me then Summer says," Hello how are you, I need to go. Good bye."

As she runs out of the room I look at Cassie and say," William is awake, How long were we asleep? And can I please have something to eat I'm starving."

Cassie grabs a plate out of the oven and sits me at the table. Then she says," You have been asleep for two days. We were starting to get worried. The goddess said you would only be out for about twenty-four hours. Everyone else has been up since yesterday. The Guardians say that since you were the focus point as well as pregnant it took you longer to recover. I let Steve know you were awake he is on his way home now. He will be here in about an hour and I'm supposed to keep an eye on you and make sure you eat."

"OKAY, well how did we do? Did everyone in the pack come out okay?"

"Yes Luna, and everyone knows what you, William, and the Guardians did because Steve showed us all. We even heard when the goddess spoke to Steve and the others. I have to admit there are several people who are going to be looking at you differently after what you did."

"I hope your not one of them. I would hate to loose my friend over this. I only did what I had to in order to keep the pack safe. Do you by any chance have some more I'm still hungry."

"Of course Luna, here you go. And you don't have to worry about loosing me as a friend, you are my niece first of all and my Luna second. You did what needed to be done to save your pack like any good Luna would. But I will warn you now I think Steve might lock you away somewhere to keep you safe. We could all tell how scared he was for the three of you. He told William to never do anything like that again."

"I didn't mean to scare him but we had to do something or everyone would have died. I have news for him when he gets home and I'm not sure he is going to like it."

"What am I not going to like Kayla? And never do anything like that again. You scared the Hell out of me. When the others woke up and you didn't I was petrified."

Then he kisses me like I had vanished or something. I'm not saying I didn't like it but I was surprised by it. Once he gets his fill he steps back and asks," So out with it what am I not going to like?"

"Well I think you should know that the witches think there is some kind of alter or something on the south side of the pack grounds. Apparently it is a point of power for them and they want to get to it. That's why they were barging with Stacy for the property. It also explains the large amount of attacks last winter. As we were destroying them I connected to a few at the last minute they tried to run. I swept through their minds before I destroyed them and that's what I learned."

Okay good to know. When we start building the new pack house over there next week we will start looking for it then. Now I love you dearly but if you ever do anything like that again I will lock you in the dungeons to keep you safe. Did I mention that you scared the Hell out of me?"

"I am truly sorry about that. But in order for us to win it had to be done. I didn't realize I would be out for two day but I had to."

" I know my love I was just worried. I love you so much I don't want to loose any of you."

After he puts his hand on my stomach I put my hand on his. "Don't worry my Love you won't loose any of us." Then I kiss him.

I tell Cassie I will be back later and I take Steve up to our room. Where I show him how much I love him for the next few hours.
