Chapter 1

"Anna, wake up!" said General Eve Zania. Anna opened her eyes.

"Morning..." yawned Anna.

"Get up! It's time to take your assassin test!" said General Zania. After Zania walked out, Anna got up, and brushed her white blonde hair quickly. She slipped into an all black suit and grabbed her dark cloak. She paused at her dresser. She opened it and grabbed her dagger. It had a red jewel in the center of it. It was a semi-sharp dagger, which she knew she'd have to sharpen eventually.

Anna went downstairs. She ate her breakfast, which was just an apple. The apple was a bright red color. She went upstairs and quickly brushed her teeth. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her emerald green eyes shown back at her. She smiled to herself, knowing she was ready to become the next great assassin. Plantain Town was a small town, and one of the two towns in the whole part of Plantain, the second being in Skull Shore. Skull Shore was a beach where a war took place. Many skeletons were buried in result which is why it got the name. Plantain was a part of the island, Shylynn. Eve and Anna walked silently into the woods near Plantain Town. The trees were tall and wide and the forest was thick. They walked towards the middle of the forest.

"Here we are, the place you will be taking your test," said Zania once they arrived. The test was in Azuric Woods. There, Captain Zaron stood.

"Took you long enough!" joked Zaron. He was second in command as he worked side-by-side with Zania. He was pretty laid back and didn't let things really get the best of him. Eve, on the other hand was more stressed. She wouldn't let them call her by her first name though, just General Zania, or Zania.

"Alrighty, let's begin," He said. He grabbed a fruit from a nearby tree and tossed it to Anna. Anna caught it.

"Is that a normal peach,or an Azuric peach?" He asked slyly. Anna sliced it open, revealing a black substance.

"It's Azuric, a very dangerous poison....wait what's this have to do with the assassin test?" Anna asked.

"Well, you need to make sure not to eat those ones," said Zaron.

"Alright, now let's get to the actual test," said Zania impatiently. Eve left the woods leaving Anna alone to take her test.

Anna was now in the middle of the woods, having to have to sneak up to Zaron without getting caught. She remained slow, and silent. She saw Zaron, and began to creep slowly. She slowed her breathing. She was now right behind him. She did what she was told and poked him. He jumped.

"Wow, you actually got me! Scaring me isn't easy, but you did it somehow!" laughed Zaron. "But that was only the first part of the test!"

The next part was climbing. She needed to find a way to get to the top of a tree without being seen, and to be able to attack from above. Anna thought for a second. She took out her dagger.

"Maybe I can use this to climb, but it might make noise unless I make my movements swift," She thought. Anna began to climb, stabbing the dagger into the tree. She heard Zaron's steps somewhere in the distance. She quickened her pace and headed to up to the top. She could see to the north, Plantain Town. She looked to the south to see the land of Kimchi, a rocky desert-like terrain. She looked down to see Zaron. She grabbed a peach and threw it at him.

"Hey!" He looks up. Anna climbs down.

"Great job again! Now the final part of your test is to hide well!" said Zaron. "All assassins need to know how to blend in! You must be hidden for at least 10 minutes, so hope I don't find you!"

And like that, Anna ran off. Luckily, her cloak was really dark colored and her clothes were black. She covered her head with her cloak. She found a hollow tree and hid in it. She held her breath. Two minutes passed, then four, eventually eight.
