Anna woke up suddenly. She looked at her watch. 6:20 p.m. Anna groaned. She slept through most of the day. She knew she needed to find that dagger, but where? She thought about the skull she found buried under the sand.
"The dagger must be buried somewhere under the beach," She thought. Anna got up and went downstairs. She left the hotel and headed off to the beach. She then paused.
"I need a metal detector," Anna thought out loud. She looked around for a store. She went into a handi-mart and began to look through the aisles. There was nothing. She looked through another and another and yet, there was no metal detector. She felt dumb for leaving without buying anything. Anna went to the beach anyways. She sat down. It was dark now. The moon was shining above, reflecting off the water. Anna sighed, but suddenly felt something. She felt a presence was beneath her. She began to dig the spot she was sitting in. She used her hands and kept clawing away until, something sharp was sticking out of the ground. She pulled hard, and yanked it out of the ground.
"This is it! The first dagger!"Anna exclaimed. The dagger was stuck inside a skull though so Anna had to yank it out.
"The dagger of hidden secrets," said a voice. Anna spun around to find a man in a yellow cloak. He had blonde hair that matched his cloak. He had bright blue eyes. Anna felt mesmerized, and strange at the same time.
"You must be an assassin too, huh? I'm Lasserin. Do you want go get a bite?" He asked. Anna nodded. She hadn't eaten yet.
