A Bad Premonition

Alliana looked back at Angel. "Can't you see yourself? You look dirty and miserable. It is because of him."

Angel's expressionless face turned more expressionless. "Eldest sister, did you come here to make the situation worse?"

"What are you saying?"

Ariana sensed that a fight was about to occur. She clapped her hands to distract the two fiery bulls.

"How about we discuss this later and get the two of them warmed up first? They spent a cold night here. The poor young man is even shivering."

Alliana just then noticed that Angel was also pale from the cold. Her heart turned heavier.

"Alright. Come inside my car."

Hearing this, Angel turned to the boy and held his hand. She then dragged him towards Alliana's car.

Alliana's mouth hung open. "Hey, I just told you to--"

Ariana interrupted. "Sis, can you turn a blind eye just for today? Those two have just suffered a bad night."

Alliana frowned.

She still did not like her third sister getting close to a boy who was cowardly-looking and a magnet of disaster. But seeing her third sister's back who walked upright despite being cold, she did not have the heart to scold her anymore.

She sighed. "Alright."

As Alliana was about to get into the car, she noticed Ariana following her. She tilted her head.

"Why are you not getting into your car? I will not scold her for today, I promise."

"Ah, it is not about that. Actually, I left my keys inside the car. That is why we have no choice but to call you."

Alliana finally remembered that her second sister also spent a night somewhere else. Her sharp eyes glinted. "You… I will interrogate you later."

The four of them squeezed themselves inside the car with the heater running high to warm them up. The temperature here in the forest was much colder than in the city.

Alliana glanced at Angel.

Angel's face was still expressionless.

Alliana, who knew her sister well, could understand that she had made her sister upset.

She sighed.

"Boy, where should I drop you?"

The boy who was trying not to breathe answered timidly. "Uhmm… You can drop me off at any hotel."

"That is no good. My sister can drop you at your house," Angel protested.

Alliana was annoyed at the boy.

Her third sister was too kind to him while she was being treated like a nuisance!

Alliana: "You do not have to worry about being troublesome. You are already giving us troubles. Giving us one or two more does not make any difference to us."

Angel glanced at her sister. Her cold eyes were telling her to not make the situation worse than it already was.

The boy whispered. "...I am sorry. Any bus terminal would be fine."

Angel sighed and patted the boy's back. "Don't take what my sister is saying to heart. She usually talks like that. Tell me your address. If you don't, I will tell people what happened yesterday."

Alliana and Ariana both glanced at their youngest sister in the side mirror.

Aren't you also being mean, too?

The boy paled and shivered. "Oh… I can tell you, but I can't go to my house right now, looking like this."

Angel suddenly understood. "Is it because of what you said yesterday?"

Alliana and Ariana: ???

The boy nodded shyly.

Angel thought for a moment. She turned to her sisters.

"Can we bring him along to our house? He will stay just for today."

The boy was stunned. He waved his hand in panic. "No need, no need."

"It's okay. We have many empty rooms."

Alliana commented. "Actually, Charlie recently hired many maids and all of the rooms are occupied. We don't have a place for him."

Angel: "Then we can share a room."

Alliana and Ariana almost choked.

!!!!???

Alliana bit her lips hard to suppress herself.

"Oh my, on a second thought, there is one place left. There is no need to share a room."

"Alright," Angel said calmly.

Alliana turned the key with a scowling face. The engine came to life.

While maneuvering, she glared at the boy through the side mirror.

Just who was this boy who made their usually cold sister act so kind to him?

A bad premonition rose in her heart.
