A Missed Oppurtunity

That night, Alliana gave an earful to her second sister. She gave a bunch of R-18 advice, the do's and don'ts in bed, and how to be careful at all times.

The deed had already happened. Although there was no insertion or rubbing into each other's body that happened--well, at least according to Ariana's story--Alliana still felt that her second sister had already somewhat entered the world of adults.

She had mixed feelings about it.

Alliana only let go of her second sister when she finally realized that there were only a few hours left before dawn arrived.

"Do you remember everything I taught you?"

Ariana put her veil in place again. She rubbed her sleepy eyes. "Yes, sister. You don't have to worry much. That is the first and last time that it will happen."

"You can't say that. You enjoyed it. What if you miss it then do it again later? It is still dangerous to do it with a stranger especially when you are alone in some isolated place. You can't even ask for help once something went wrong. You have to call me if you decided to do it again, okay?"

Ariana just nodded sleepily. Her sister is really a worrywart.

"I will go now, sister. I still have to write my manuscript later."

"Alright. Don't forget everything I said just now. Also, don't wash your face again after writing."

"Un." Ariana nodded her head. She walked towards the door.

"Remember, if you plan to do something like that again, consult me first!" Alliana yelled after.

Ariana just waved her hand as an agreement. She was really sleepy.

After the door closed, silence settled in the room.

Alliana sighed and smiled helplessly. She went towards the balcony entrance, slid close the tinted glass panel, and pulled the curtains close.

Her second sister Ariana who usually kept everything to herself and would keep her secrets until her death surprisingly approached Alliana first and offered herself to be the first lamb to be slaughtered.

Alliana was no fool. She knew that her second sister came here to comfort her in her own way. And it magically worked.

Did she really look that upset earlier?

She really lost face this time. It was even in front of other people.

Alliana slumped on the bed, facing the ceiling.

No matter what, this was her family. This was her family that she loved and vowed to protect even if she had to sully her name or her heart blackened.

Even if her mother got angry at her because of what she did, Alliana would still persist to mess up her mother's remarriage.

After all, her villainess title would just be in vain if she did not take advantage of it.

...

Alliana stayed in bed for two more hours to catch some sleep before going to work. She did not even eat breakfast in the mansion. It was because she knew that her mother would surely invite the man to the table again.

As her second sister Ariana said, if she verbally attacked the man right now, she might just upset her mother more.

Thus, Annie and George missed the opportunity to have a talk with Alliana.

George held Annie's hand when they found out that none of her daughters joined them at the table. Even Angel and his classmate left quite early too. Ariana, on the other hand, was still locked in her room, sleeping.

George comforted Annie. "Erase that frown on your face, dear. We can talk to Alliana whenever we have time. I will make sure that she will get to hear the delay of our marriage and the actual reason from us. She will open her heart then."

Annie just smiled.

She really hoped her daughter would open her heart.

...

The weather today was nice. However, Alliana could not appreciate it with a tired mind and body.

Alliana went to her office with an expressionless face. She could not sleep much. She dared not to sleep more and miss work.

Assistant Hu was already waiting for her in the lobby and reported her schedule for today.

"The conference meeting will start in ten minutes. At ten o'clock, the newly promoted branch managers will arrive. I have prepared your two minute speech. At lunch, the reservation with XX restaurant is already arranged. Mr. Henson already confirmed his attendance many times--"

"Henson? Who is he?"

Assistant Hu's lips twitched. "Sir Henson is the vice president of the pharmaceutical company that you promised to have lunch with a month ago."

"Oh. The hospital guy."

Assistant Hu: "..." You did not even remember his name?

For some reason, he had a bad feeling.

"Cancel it. Set up a lunch appointment with Mr. Tan."

Assistant Hu: ...I knew it!
