The table by the window was silent. Javier took a sneak glance at Alliana. After the server left, the woman turned awfully quiet.

Javier had never seen Alliana this silent. Usually, the woman would start interrogating him by now or bothering him with other things. Since he had forgotten her throughout the meal earlier, he planned to be amiable and entertained her questions this time, albeit moderately.

But he did not expect Alliana would play the quiet game instead.

Well, it was for the best if the woman stayed silent and won't bother him.

However, as he looked back at the window and stared at Hera's petals, his thoughts would wonder about her.

There was no food to distract Javier. He already memorized the menu. There was only the woman in front of him who had a displeased expression on her face, and the obvious reason was him.
