Chapter 10

"We are out, finally!" exclaimed Esmia. Her and Riven were finally out of the Dark Mirror. They were now in Beth's dark throne room.

"We actually did it. Thank you, Esmia," said Riven. Before Esmia could say anything, Beth appeared.

"Who are you two?" asked Beth. She looked confused. Esmia looked at Riven.

"Betty?" asked Esmia. Beth laughed a cold empty laugh.

"Betty is my dumbfounded cousin. I am Beth, ruler of the Nightmare Realm," said Beth. "I'm sorry if I confused you, Esmia: 'Shylynn's greatest assassin,'" Beth said in a mocking tone. Esmia's face curled into a cold glare. Beth laughed again.

"May I ask,how do we get out of here? We need to return to Shylynn to-"

"You're not going anywhere," said Beth, cutting Riven off. "Neither are you, you good-for-nothing assassin." Esmia's glare got darker.

"Take that back, you bitch," growled Esmia. Beth's light brown eyes got dark.

"Aw, are you offended, you dumb detheth," said Beth. Esmia looked confused.

"It's Syethian. She called you a 'bitch' in Syethian," said Riven, annoyed.

"You're using a dead language!" yelled Esmia, angry. Beth smiled. She toyed with her red amulet she wore with her black tunic. Seeing an opening, Esmia lunged at Beth. Beth teleports away. Esmia made a confused look along with saying "Huh?!"

"Esmia, she's magic, just like Betty," said Riven nervously. "You can't beat her!"

"The hell I can't!" yelled Esmia. Riven put his palm on his face and groaned. Beth appears in front of Esmia and shoots a shadow ball of energy, knocking Esmia over. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake.

"Yes, yes! The Star Galaxy's Core is cracking, and once it's broken, the world be erased!" laughed Beth.

"The core!? That'll cause portals to open everywhere in Shylynn-no all the universes connected to it!" yelled Riven fearfully. Esmia stood up.

"There's other universes?" asked Esmia, dumbfounded. Before Riven could answer, a portal opened. Anna, Betty, Raven, and Susie walked through it.

"Anna!" yelled Esmia. Anna and Esmia ran to each other and hugged. Anna couldn't help it and bursted into tears.

"I was so worried!" cried Anna.

"Hey, hey it's ok. Don't cry, you're an assassin, remember?" cooed Esmia. Another portal opened and then closed and Eve and Zaron appeared. They both seemed confused. Beth also appeared dazed.

"Beth, what's wrong?" asked Betty. Beth just stared. Betty looked at what she was staring at. Betty gasped. Within the Dark Mirror, Lasserin's face was shone and he was laughing maniacally.

"She was under my control!" laughed Lasserin. Beth looked at Betty worriedly.

"What did I do?" asked Beth nervously. Another quake shook the whole castle, making everyone fall over. Anna got up.

"Is that...RIVEN?!" yelled Anna. Esmia got up and stopped Anna before she could attack. She explained to everyone quickly who he was. Raven bursted into tears.

"It's really you...I can't believe I was with a fake!" cried Raven. She hugged her twin and he held her close.

"Does anyone mind introducing me?" asked Susie. Lasserin laughed, but not at Susie. He was laughing because a portal opened leading to Star Galaxy Zone was beginning to suck them into it. As Lasserin laughed, the Dark Mirror he was in flew off the wall and flew into the portal with everyone else.
