Chapter 12

"Anna, listen to me! We need to go to another universe where portals aren't showing up! Eventually the core will destroy itself! Beth and I can fix it once my powers return to me!" yelled Betty.

"What difference does it make?!" yelled Anna back. "Moving to a new world won't help! Just let me try to help it!"

"Anna, you don't have magic or any powers at all!" yelled Eve. "Come here!"

"No! I'm saving this core!" yelled Anna sternly.

"Anna, the core will break, and due to the portals opened in Shylynn, the portals will turn into to black holes and absorb it all!" yelled Beth. Anna turned to face them and stood firmly in place.

"You're all my friends, even you red-head....whatever your name is!" said Anna.

"It's Susie!" Anna nodded.

"I'm going to save you all!" said Anna.

"Stop Anna! That's a command!" yelled Eve. This time, tears strolled down her face. "Please.." Anna shook her head.

"Anna..If you do save us, then you're the most daring person I've met in the whole universe! Please...be careful," said Esmia. Her red eyes flared in the light of the core. Anna nodded, her emerald green eyes reflecting too. She turned back towards the core. She feels it and shivers. It wasn't because it felt cold, it was because she was nervous.

"I got to have powers...I know it!" said Anna. A crack that made her freeze came from the core. It floated in place, except it was in half. Everything was silent. Before Anna could move, the core exploded. Everyone screamed. Betty felt energy surge through her as Beth and her shot at the core repairing it. Everyone looked at it. The core had reverted to its red and blue color.

"We saved the core...but not Anna.." said Betty glumly. She turned, her dark brown eyes teared up. "She's gone.." Esmia screamed and cried. Raven cried uncontrollably into Riven's chest as he too teared up. Beth just stood there, knowing she had something to do with this. Susie wiped her beautiful blue eyes. Zaron held Eve as she cried. Betty stood there, tears streaming. Beth uses her magic and opens a portal.

"Let's go home," said Beth.
