That night when Alex entered our room, I went from behind and hugged him. He got out of my hug and went to the bed.

"Alex....what happened?"

"That's what I asked downstairs, answer me first" he sounded angry.

"Nothi..."

"WHAT ARE YOU HIDING, LIVIAN" he demanded the truth.

I couldn't hold back, I ran to him and hugged him tightly. Tears exploding out of my eyes.

"Yes, I AM hiding something. But I cannot tell you. It's for your own sake. I can't tell you. You're my life, I can't let anything happen to you" I blurted out.

"You know that you're husband's the most powerful man in the business world, right? No ones gonna be able to hurt me or YOU. So tell me"

"I...I can't" I cried hard into Alex's chest.

"Sure, tell me when you're ready. I'll give you your space" he said softly and kissed me.

I didn't sleep at all that night. I was afraid of what was gonna come next.

We had breakfast without talking, Alex kissed me bye as he went for work. I got a notification. It was Asher.

"Babe, Hi. How r you. Of course you're fine with that fake husband of yours. I'll like you to meet me at the XXXX bar without informing your husband. You know what happens if you tell him. If you don't, let me tell you. It won't be good. I may hurt him. SEE U SOON.

This man. How could someone be so mad. Fear filled me. He wants to meet me at a bar. But I won't go.

I typed, "I won't come."

"Well, you know the consequences"

"Asher, why are you back in my happy life. I don't like you, so please. Stop harassing me"

"Baby,I'm not harassing you. Just that, I want to see you"

"I. WON'T. GO."

*Later that evening*

I went to sleep soon, no, I wasn't going to meet Asher. Alex was back from the office. He kissed me as soon as he entered. I went to sleep.

I was woken up sometime later by Alex.

"Babe, wake up"

"Hmmm.??" I moaned in sleep.

"Wake up" he kissed me.

I opened my eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked concerned. I knew he knew. I did feel someone taking my mobile from my side table. But I acted innocent.

"What?"

"That your ex is harassing you?"

"Alex....I...you weren't supposed to know. He'll hurt you. No. You weren't supposed to know" I sobbed.

"He won't be able to hurt any of us." he said as he threaded his fingers in my hair and kissed me.

"Alex, you...he'll hurt you"

"He won't, baby girl. Don't you worry. I'll hire bodyguards for you and me"

"Promise? I can't see you hurt. I won't be able to forgive myself."

"Promise, baby girl. Come here and sleep with me" He hugged me tight into his embrace and we slept a warm peaceful night.
