Lu Weixi didn't breathe a sigh of relief until she heard Qin Zhiyou's steady breathing.


After a while, she finally fell asleep.

When Lu Weixi woke up, Qin Zhiyou had just gotten up and was sitting on the edge of the bed changing his clothes. He didn't turn to acknowledge her when he heard her stirring. Once he was dressed, he left to wash up in the bathroom.


She did the same, quietly dressing herself. When she headed to the bathroom after dressing, Qin Zhiyou was just coming out.


They met face-to-face once more, yet there was no sense of the closeness from the night before. In the cold gaze of Qin Zhiyou, she felt as if she was nothing more than a stranger.
