Qin Zhiyou helped her up from the ground, about to lean over to touch her face when Lu Weixi suddenly pushed him away.


Qin Zhiyou thought his wife was upset because he had declined her invitation. "If you want, I can tell Director Du to postpone it."


"No..." Lu Weixi shook her head quickly, her brow furrowed in a clear expression of displeasure.


Qin Zhiyou was a little confused. He picked her up and sat her down next to him,"Alright, alright, I'll go with you. Wherever you go, I'll follow. Is that okay?"


"No need." Lu Weixi's refusal was firm, and she forcefully pushed him away, her face full of distaste.


Seeing her rejection of him, Qin Zhiyou couldn't help but wonder if she suspected him of having some sort of secret affair because of his constant overtimes. He hadn't expected Lu Weixi to start getting jealous now, which made him feel both happy and troubled. This must be what they called "sweet burden".


Although, he still had to use Liu Yiyi to his advantage for now.
