Lu's mom emerged from the room, and Lu Weixi quickly pushed Qin Zhiyou out before she immediately shut the door. Then, leaning against it with her hand on the doorknob, she looked unwilling to move aside but feigned nonchalance, "Mom, why have you come out?"
Lu's mom looked back at her, and her expression seemed to have noticed something amiss, but when she responded, she continued to pretend ignorance, or rather, it seemed she hoped her daughter would confess what had just happened. "This is my house; is there anything wrong with me moving around?"
Lu Weixi chuckled awkwardly, "Not at all. Oh, there was just a delivery guy who came to the wrong door, so I opened it to check."
Lu's mom asked another question, "Did I ask you about opening the door?"
By this point, Lu Weixi pretty much realized she had slipped up. Even if she hadn't, her mom had definitely noticed something. She simply didn't want to say it or was waiting for her to speak up.
