Tear-stained cheeks, my mascara was now an ugly smudge after being ruined with all the crying I had been doing for the past hour. I could not recognize myself as I looked through the mirror. The more I stared at myself the more the tears. I could hear them in the next room. Their moans enraged me and made me feel like throwing up. I retched but nothing came out. 

Disgust is what I felt.


My life had turned out to be a chaotic mess and I wondered what I had done to deserve all that. I was a good person or so I believed.

I smiled through the pain and thought to myself that everything was going to be okay. I did not believe that myself but I had to tell myself to keep going or I would be stuck in a loop with my past trying to set myself free...

DAWN.

I try unlock the door but it's jammed.I hear muffled voices and I press my ear against the door so I can hear who it is.Its Becca ,on a phone call talking to someone.

"I am pregnant I don't know what to do and you're not helping it",she says amid sobs .

I stand there numb not knowing what to do,open the door and hug her telling her everything will be okay or rush to my parents and tell them . Either way am still stuck there when she opens the door and I fall down because I was still leaning on the door.

"Were you listening to me?"she asks her voice inaudible now I guess from crying because her eyes are puffed .

"Am sorry I didn't mean to I was just curious",I say.

"How much did you hear?"she asks her fingers fidgeting with her sweater obviously nervous because maybe she thinks I'll eat her out. I would have probably done that after the hell she made me go through as her sibling.
