Su Ning had ran to get the carriage. On her way, a drop of rain landed on her. That drop of rain soon increased by a hundred folds and the next second, she was drenched.
Su Ning rushed through the streets and finally found the carriage. The coachman saw her and waved his hand.
"Su Ning!" he called out, "Where's the Princess?"
Su Ning used her hands to block the rain from blinding her. However, it was of no use and the rain seeped through her fingers.
"She's waiting in the city. Can you go in with the carriage?" Su Ning asked.
The coachmen peeked out and saw the road turning muddy. The road to the city was filled with rocky gravel for carriages, however, in the city, it was more of a dirt path.
The coachmen hesitated before resolutely shaking his head. "Sorry, Su Ning. The carriage won't go on this muddy path. The wheels will get clogged."
Su Ning sighed. She can only ask the Princess to go out with her.
