[A/N: A LOT OF INFO DUMP, I'LL MARK WHERE IT STARTS WITH A "%" AND WHERE IT ENDS WITH "%" IF YOU ARE TRULY CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT THE MAIN CHARACTER IS CAPABLE OF DOING I SUGGEST YOU READ IT, JUST DON'T EXPECT HIM TO GO AROUND USING EVERYTHING AT THE SAME TIME, HIS MANA ISN'T INFINITE! AS FOR SPECIFIC SPELLS, I CAN ONLY SAY THAT RIGHT NOW HE IS BASICALLY HALFWAY THROUGH EVERYTHING THAT THE MENTIONED SPECIALIZATIONS ARE CAPABLE OF DOING.
After telling the First-Enchanter that he managed to get an apprentice, he was then promoted to the rank of Enchanter and got to finally start his job.
As much as Abraham would like to completely focus on his mission he wasn't going to deny his responsibility. Was the blight coming? Sure. Was the mage rebellion coming? Sure. Was Corypheus preparing to kick his ass and the ass of pretty much everyone? Sure. The thing is, he would never be able to prevent those events from happening even if he wanted, heck, there were five magisters wandering through all of Thedas and he had no way to track them down, there were just to many problems that didn't depend on him to start.
He was pretty much in the sea, the waves would come and he would have to deal with them accordingly, he just needed to make sure not to die and to increase his power steadily during the processes.
Looking at his new apprentice trying flame blast again and again he nodded to himself and went back to his journal, he was currently revising his progress on the many new spells he had managed to create over the years...
Although it didn't help that some were simply so complex that consumed a ton of mana... At the moment the easiest ones for him were the ones that were originally from this world in a sense, transform already existing spells in mental triggers to cast spells through Solas' method was kinda easy so long as you practiced them a lot, after that, it was easy to change how the spell worked based on the situation.
But when things fell into the realm of pure manipulation it was like trying to lift a ship's anchor with bare hands. Do you want to manipulate the atoms? Sure, go on, but you have to abstract the idea so much that in the end, it becomes like a variant of telekinesis, and to do telekinesis he just needed to imagine a mass of energy acquiring physical shape through the idea of solidifying something. Although depending on the weight of the object he needed to spend more mana to lift it.
However, no matter how many spells he had what he truly wanted to do is to focus more on a specific set of skills to be used in a set of situations...
His idea at the moment was quite simple but it was for a greater purpose, there is no such a thing as being a jack of all trades, reality doesn't work like that, one is much better off focusing more on a specific set of abilities than trying to dominate everything, just look at the archmages, for example, they were the apex of this world in terms of magic, and even then despite existing dozens of specializations, they usually focus only on four or less.
And there is a good reason for this, as this is like creating a martial arts style for yourself, and only by focusing on them you will be as effective as you can be on a battlefield, after all, when facing your enemies, you won't have all the time of the world to try and remember how to cast something, but when you are used to a style its comes off of you as if it was always there just waiting to be called out, it becomes an instinctual reaction to the situation.
As for Abraham, he can't help but think that the best style for him is that of a Knight-Enchanter coupled with a few more things.

Opening his journal on a blank page in the category Personal Progress, after dipping the pen tip in the ink he started writing his first real set to focus on.
[My main focus considering all my training: Knight-Enchanter / Battle-Mage
Auxiliary set of specializations: Long-range Primal spells / Creation spells / Arcane spells
Original spells to be used in battle: Advanced Fireball(blue), Invisibility (under-developed), earth bullet (needs enhancement - speed isn't up to standards / possible solutions: mix with wind spells), Shapeshifting(Fade only for now / I need to find a way to learn this from either a tome or someone), Cursed pool (seawater + lightning), floating light ball (needs a better name...), Taiyōken (I hate myself for naming it like that, but the name is pretty accurate)
Specializations that I need to learn: Arcane Warrior(Brecilian Ruins, find the phylactery of the ancient elf) / Shapeshifting (Maybe Morrigan could teach me, or I could simply put my life on the line and ask Flemeth...) Necromancy (not for battle, for immortality...)
Useful specialization tomes worth looking for and also adapting to Solas' method like all the other spells as I truly know: Force Magic, Attunement(Already in progress), Spirit Healing (Already in progress)]
[A/N: I won't do this sort of info dump again if you want more specific information of what he is capable of doing you will have to read him doing that... oh well the problems of time skipping...]

Considering everything, he was already much more capable than most mages in his level, although he wasn't really a jack of all trades he could always adapt his style to fit a specific situation with what he has.
Turning to look at Avexis he saw how she was already sweating from practicing that spell again and again, sighing he looked at her and focusing his eyes he imagined himself from a third view perspective, in his mind, a circle appeared beneath her and soon after a wave of rejuvenating energy came from it infusing itself inside her body.
Shocked by what happened, Avexis turned to look at Abraham.
"Master, I... I suddenly feel much better, as if something washed away my tiredness."
Abraham nodded and smiled. "It is a spell called Rejuvenate, the idea behind it is making your allies get rid of their tiredness through the use of a spell and recover both their stamina as well as mana faster, I know it's not a simple concept but remember to write down this later, you will discover that ancient magic is kinda harder than normal magic, although it sure is easier and faster to conjure it once you get the idea behind it.
"Just remember to never tell anyone you're learning this, the Circle would force me to give this knowledge to them, and if they didn't like what they heard, they would kill both of us to keep this info away from... the wrong hands."
Avexis opened her eyes wide and after a moment she gulped and nodded. Although she spent her entire life in the tower, through other elves and the books she knew how her people were treated, and she also knew how the Circle was regarding magic that is believed to be either dangerous or evil.
Although they aren't that wrong about blood magic, something capable of summoning Demons with such easiness does make it look like it delves with evil concepts...
After some time resting, Avexis stood up and was about to continue practicing but she stopped for a moment and turned to look at him.
"Master, why are you teaching me that if it's so dangerous?"
Hearing this, Abraham was shocked for a moment. That's right... why was he teaching her that again?
Looking at the girl he thought about all his life, about everything he did here, and what he did in his previous life.
Abraham Wheeler was once known as James Graham... Back then he was 18 before suddenly reappearing here in this world. His life wasn't one that he was proud of, he always had problems of self-esteem, always blaming himself for being a loser with a handful of friends.
Despite his many issues and overall loneliness, he never truly let himself fell into the pit of depression, this side of him that liked to act a little bit like a brat and make jokes was his way to keep himself from falling in that hole.
Back then he never had a girlfriend, but he always wanted a family, perhaps that is the reason he was doing that, after all, how old was he again? He pretty much lost count, but maybe he just wanted to think of her as something like a daughter?
"Hahaha!" He laughed at himself, perhaps he was a bit childish, being selfish again in such a situation. Even them he couldn't understand that really as a problem, this girl only had a lion as family her whole life, and although he sure took her as an apprentice because he was thinking of the benefits, he just couldn't bring himself to use someone like that.
Pawen, Edwin and Oliver... he never mentioned them ever since coming to this Circle, but he sure held all of then in his heart, for as many problems as they might have had they are still his friends, and he would be willing to help them in whatever they asked as he would do to any of his friends in his previous life.
'What did Rafael use to call me again back them? The eternal support? Haha... [A/N: League of legends reference.]
'That's right... Rafael, Jez, Agatha, Allan... sigh... Did I really forget you guys for so long?' Sighing he could feel his eyes becoming watery, but he didn't do anything to stop the tears from forming and falling.
For a moment he realized that he did something he would never forgive himself. He forgot about the people that mattered to him, he forgot of how many times they helped him back in his previous life.
Seeing how some apprentices and enchanters noted him, he simply smiled, there was no reason to be ashamed of those tears, they were the proof that he truly regretted what he did, they carried in it his mistakes.
"You know Avexis, I think that I somehow failed my old friends." Abraham started, as he looked at her. "Although I was forced to become a mage... I ended up forgetting them... They were people who helped me a lot in my life, preventing me many times from committing a mistake that I would regret all my life." He smiled. "The thing is, I don't really like to use people, even if you are my apprentice, I also think of you like family as well, as I did with my friends. And family you don't abandon, that's why I'm teaching you that."
Avexis tilted her head to the side, not really understanding what he meant. Seeing the look of confusion on her eyes, he laughed and said. "Just remember to always take care of the people you like, sharing this knowledge with you is my way of doing just that."
"Mm. I will do as master says!" Avexis nodded like a soldier and went back to her practice.
Seeing that, Abraham went back to his journal, but this time there was something on his mind that he would make sure to never forget, and that were his friends, he didn't care if this was the world of Thedas, or if there were risks by doing that, he was like him and nothing would change that, his friends mattered a lot for him, and the reason was that they were just like family for him...
The same kind of family he always craved for in his past life...
'... Damn, I must be sounding like an old man now... Well, I'm pretty sure I'll manage to create a family sooner or later... Right now, what I should focus on is my and her training.'
