Chapter 5

Time skip:

Y/N felt beads of sweat appearing on her forehead as she was waiting for Sunwoo by the neighbouring library across their school. That's when she saw him, walking towards her as he was crossing the road. He looked so handsome that Y/N felt her legs trembling.

"Hello y/n!" he yelled running towards her. "Aish, this guy's duality' she thought with a smile. "Hello Sunwoo.." said Y/N. "Let's go inside and get to work..". "Hmmm.." replied Sunwoo tagging alongside Y/N as they made their way towards the library. All the seats were nearly empty, something that surprised Y/N. "Is something wrong?" asked Sunwoo noticing Y/N looking around. "No, it's just- usually there's just so many people here.. It's odd, that's all." she replied, still confused. "Let's go sit there by the window" said Sunwoo, pointing at the table by the window. "I'll go get the books, stay here" said Y/N as she made Sunwoo sit and walked away towards her favorite place at the library. It was still a mystery to her why English, Science and History books were stored in a a separate place, her most adored place.

It made Y/N feel like she was home after a long time. The reason why Y/N loved this certain place in the library was because it resembled her old room, she had a small and cozy room with a lot of books on its shelves. Looking at the books stacked up on the shelves made Y/N really comfortable. She sorted out the books that she needed that afternoon for Sunwoo's tutoring and walked towards the place where her most loved books were stored. No wonder why she loved the library so much. It was beautiful, calm and breezy each time someone opens a window. The smell of the old pages of the books were her favorite smell and the sight of books were her favorite sight. The library was not only fastidious, it was green.

Y/N's favorite books were of fantasy. She loves the world of magic and fantasy than the world she lived in. In the fantasy world, they could do anything and be anything. She could be anything she wants and not what others want her to be. Ever since her parents had died, the only place that felt home to her was the library. Her mother used to read her bedtime stories about fairies and pixies, goblins and elves and dragons and mermaids, she used to yearn for the moment her mother comes back from work and tucks her in bed and reads her, her favorite stories. If that doesn't make her go to sleep, her father would cuddle her and would sing for her in his sweet and memorable voice. The voice of her father was ringing in her ears when she heard a familiar voice, "Hello, I came to see where you were. I was worried Y/N" said Sunwoo. "You were... worried? Why would you be?" I asked. "You're my friend Y/N. Don't be absurd." said Sunwoo, crossing his arms and pouting, making Y/N want to pinch his cheeks so bad.

"So... what do you need to clarify? Or what don't you understand?" asked Y/N, making herself comfortable in her seat. "Um... English?" said Sunwoo, thinking whether Y/N thought that he was an idiot. "Oh, okay." responded Y/N with a bright smile making Sunwoo's heart beat like crazy. Y/N kept teaching Sunwoo until it was late at night and they were both sleepy. "You complete this activity and I'll check it for you. Then, let's go home.." said Y/N, yawning and checking the time, 9:00 pm. After a few minutes of confusion, Sunwoo had finished his work and was ready to go. "Y/N I finished it can I-" He was lost in words when he saw that Y/N was resting her head on the table and was fast asleep. "She's pretty even when she's asleep.. " he said to himself. She never looked nice, she looked like art. And art wasn't supposed to be nice, it was supposed to make you feel something. And sometimes he had kept my feelings to himself because, he could find no language to describe them in. Sunwoo removed his jacket and put in on her since she looked like she was shivering and sat next to her and watched her, until her eyes finally fluttered open. "Huh?". "Oh, you're awake, I finished my work, but I waited till you awoke." said Sunwoo.

She suddenly noticed that something was on her, it was what kept her warm. "Huh?" she asked. 'Wait.. wasn't this what he was wearing just a -'. She remembered that she had been sleeping the whole time with Sunwoo's jacket on, she quickly removed it and handed it over to him. "Thank you." she said when Sunwoo took it from her. She felt herself heating up when their fingers brushed. "You're welcome. I'll walk you home come on." he replied along with another one of his trademark heart fluttering smile.

Y/N and Sunwoo walked to Y/N's home, her aunts' home, side by side, Sunwoo's hand brushing Y/N's as she was quick to tuck her hand in her jacket pocket. It was almost winter so it was breezy and chilly. She felt a sudden warmth around her, she felt cozy. She had no idea what had happened but she liked the mellow feeling. She had no idea that Sunwoo was a spirit nor that he possessed supernatural powers. He had made the air around her warmer since she had looked so cold even though she was wearing a thick jacket. "That's wierd.." said Y/N to herself as they spontaneously reached tp where Y/N lived. "I think you better leave Sunwoo, thank you.." said Y/N. "Okay.." said Sunwoo just as they heard the door open and saw Wooyoung coming out. He noticed Y/N and ran to her. "Do you have any idea how worried I was?! And who's this?!" asked Wooyoung shooting Sunwoo a dirty look. "He's the one I was tutoring Wooyoung, he walked me home.." said Y/N, shivering. "You're shivering Y/N, go in, mom's waiting" responded Wooyoung in a tough tone. "Thank you." he said to Sunwoo just before he followed Y/N into his home. "Y/N never told me that she had a boyfriend" said Sunwoo pouting and crossing his arms on his way to his home.

"Where have you been Y/N?! I would have never let you tutor that kid if you had told me that it'd get so late for you to be back?!" yelled Wooyoung into Y/N's ear when she had had her dinner and had gone to her room. "Geez you Welsh Corgi it's not that late" in an annoyed tone. "Ah?! It's not that late?! Look at the time Y/N! It's 10 in the night! What have you been doing with that kid?!" yelled Wooyoung in his screechy voice.

"Well, what do you think we've been doing?! I just fell asleep.." said Y/N. "You've been what?!" screamed Wooyoung, making Y/N glad that there weren't any glass objects around. "Do you have any idea how worried I get when you go on dates with San and never come back sometimes?!" shrieked Y/N. "I-" Wooyoung's words were broken off by a unusually hugging Y/N. He heard slight sniffling. "Are you?" asked Wooyoung. "I'm sorry I yelled Woo" replied Y/N amazing Wooyoung because she had never used his nickname before. "It's okay Y/N.. Aigooo" said Wooyoung, chuckling, finally pulling away. "You better sleep Y/N.. We have school tomorrow" said Wooyoung in a comforting way as he left Y/N's room. Y/N changed into her favorite night gown and got into bed. She fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.

Her room at her aunt's house was always home to her, but her room back at her own home, was the best. It had been small but the most comfortable place she had ever been to. It had white walls and a cozy bed with blue duvets which wear always neatly arranged by her mother, unless she messed them up.

She had visited her old home until recently, it was sold to someone else. No matter how comfortable her room was, stepping into her old home brought back a memory which she needed to forget : Her parents death. It had been the most unforgettable moment in her life. Her parents hadn't died in an accident, they had been murdered and Y/N's birth had been the reason. Ever since she had been born, her parents had been bankrupt for a reason that not even Y/N knew. Her father had owed a lot of people, bad people. What Y/N's father always did was protect Y/N, and he did it, even in his death. Her mother had been a nurse, but her salary wasn't enough for her father's debt. Then one day, a gang of armed men who Y/N's father had owed had broken into their small house and had taken everything from them. Y/N had heard her father warn her mother that they would have to stay alert. On the day of the incident, her father had begged and forced 10 year old Y/N to hide in their closet, just as he had heard voices and gun shots. Her mother had been murdered first, and then, they came to Y/N's father. She had been traumatized and hadn't been able to talk for an year until her grandmother had come back from Japan and had consoled her, telling her that everything was alright.

She had lived with her grandmother in Japan until her grandmother too, had left her. Just as her grandmother died, her father's sister had taken her in and she was living with her ever since. She was always greatful to her aunt because she had loved and cared for her just like her mother did and to Wooyoung, for being the over-protective brother she never had. Because of Wooyoung, Y/N's aunt and her forever treasured friends, she had been able to stay strong...
