Chapter 9
The next day:
~Sunwoo's POV~
I was on my way to school when I saw her, sitting near the bus stop, "She looks just like her, but.. she isn't her.." I shook my head and walked to Y/N in silence, only to face an abrupt stop. Someone ran in to me, and I definitely knew enough to say that it was intentional. "Y/N wait up!" screeched Wooyong, no, Wooyoung, Y/N's so-called boyfriend. Wooyoung linked arms with Y/N and got on to the bus just before it drove away. "She lies to me that he's not her boyfriend?! Arghh! This is so frustrating!" It made my blood boil to see her run off with that boyfriend of hers.. Huff.... I look way better than he does right?
Er.. maybe not.. I got on to the next bus and was on my way to school, by myself.. Hopefully, Eric, my best friend would understand my pain... When time just flew by, I was at school, walking towards my class. 'Y/N isn't here yet, I'd better do something till she comes back..' I thought to myself and took out my mobile phone and opened a search engine. I searched the topic I'd been wanting to find about for a long time. I typed in ; 'How to make a girl fall in love with you' . I know I'm silly, but I'm desperate. I made a mental note on what was displayed on the screen.
1. OPEN YOUR EARS
Girls like a man that's going to listen to their problems and when you open your ears and let them talk, you are one step up on any other guy in pursuit. Make sure you don't push her to make a decision. She just wants you to listen so she can work it out.
2. GIVE HER COMPLIMENTS
Who doesn't like a nice compliment now and then? Just please don't give her fake praise or she will kick your butt to the curb fast. Make sure the compliment is genuine and sincere and not too deep.
If you overdo it, I can guarantee this pointer will backfire big time.
Flatter her a little and she will reward you handsomely.
3. SUPPORT HER ROYALLY
Think of this like you might a cheerleader. You need to show her you will be there to encourage her on and support her in her daily battles. This doesn't mean you have to agree with everything she does and says, that would make you a pushover puppet.
However, you should show her you appreciate and respect her for her life choices. That's just plain magical in the dating game.
4. DON'T BE AFRAID TO PLAY THE CHIVALRY CARD
This is where you are going to capture her attention and rock her world. Too many guys today seem to forget their manners. When you treat a lady properly, it will never ever go out of style.
Open the door for her. Pull out her chair. Give her your coat on a chilly evening.
When you show her she's worth being treated specially, you will be squeezing your way into her heart for all the right reasons. Give it a shot! You've got nothing to lose.
5. GIVE HER ALL OF YOUR ATTENTION
I know this one isn't so easy considering the technology we've got to our fingertips. If you are serious about showing this girl you deserve to have her fall in love with you, then you need to keep all eyes on her.
This means putting your phone away and definitely not watching other girls walk into the room.
You will come across as a prick if you can't give her your full attention. The choice is yours.
6. TELL HER HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY SPENDING TIME WITH HER
This can come in all sorts of different shapes and forms. You can tell her face to face that you really enjoy hanging out with her. Another route is to drop her a text or email to make sure she knows that she's on your mind.
Or you can drop her a line on social media. You just want to make it crystal clear that you like being with her. She needs to know that if you are going to be successful making her fall in love with you.
7. NURTURE THE LOVE
You need to stand out and in order to do this, you've got to take care of the little things. Give her flowers or some sort of surprise just because. Don't wait until a special occasion to show her how you feel.
This will help to make her feel loved and appreciated and that's a direct route to making her fall in love with you. End of story.
8. MR. CLEAN IS A GOOD THING
Truth be told, if you are leaving your dirty socks on the floor and the sink filled with your dishes, you are killing the romance.
Girls like it clean and that means you need to make every effort to clean up after yourself and not leave it to her, no matter what she says.
You should know by now that girls say one thing and mean another more often than not.
Like it or lump it because that's just the way it is.
9. MUSIC MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER
There's just something about a man that sings. Girls go crazy over it. Guess there's just something about a bad boy rock star. This doesn't mean you have to be a rocker to get a girl. But if you've got some singing skills in your back pocket, that's a good thing.
If not, just show her you are passionate in some other genre. Passion is perfect when combined with love.
10. FUNNY IS IN
When you show a girl you can be light hearted and funny, you are one step closer to getting her walls down so you can jump in.
Laughter is the best medicine and when you show a girl you can be funny, or at least try, you will get into her heart and mind fast.
So let loose and get a little silly if you are serious about getting the girl for keeps.
11. PLAY IT COOL
The very last thing a girl wants is a high strung man that just can't play it cool. If you show her you've got the innate ability to diffuse spicy situations and shrug off the small things, you are going to show her straight up she'd be crazy not to fall in love with you.
Just trust me on this one please.
12. CONNECT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY
You are certified crazy if you don't think this girls friends and family aren't going to influence her decision to open up to you or not.
If you can get in the good books with her loved ones, she will get the encouragement she needs to fall in love with you.
Let her family and friends work for you in your quest. Having an outside source tell you that you should be with a guy really is magical.
'Oooo.. Her cousin hates me already..' I shivered with the thought of living in the same house as Wooyoung. 'Hmm.. I've done some of these things.. But she hasn't fallen for me yet.. Wait- What am I doing? Can't I just read her mind?!' There are some of these instances where I forget that I have the power to read others minds. 'Wait till she comes to class and I'll get her this time' I was determined to read her mind this time and know if she feels the same towards me too. 'Maybe.. I shouldn't.. Her feelings belong to her and she has the right to keep them.. I lectured Eric about his rights and now, I'm doing wrong... Maybe wait? I'll try to read her mind but not dug in to her feelings.. Better try to right? ' I felt like a fool myself, not everyone has supernatural powers to read others mind..
I was waiting for Y/N to come, when I saw her, coming towards our class with Wooyoung, as usual. She waved him off and made her way towards me and made herself comfortable in her seat next to me. "Hello Sunwoo, Good Morning" she beamed at me, making me hide my face because I didn't want her to see me flush like a maniac.
I have no idea why, but history never seemed to interest me, I loved to study history with Y/N but not with Mr. Han. And that boringness made me fall asleep... As usual, I dreamt of this girl in a delicate floral hanbok studded with tiny crystals.
She constantly keeps appearing in my dreams and I knew exactly who she was. I heard a voice that I don't usually hear in my dream. "Wake up Sunwoo.. It's lunch dude.." It was Eric. I woke up due to the aggressive tugs I was recieving. "I'm up!" I yelled and shot my hands up in defense. Y/N, Eric and myself together walked to the cafeteria. "Can we sit with you?" asked Y/N from her friends, Jiyeon and Lisa who were already sitting by their usual table. "Oh, of course.. Er.. who's that?" asked Lisa gesturing towards Eric. "He's Eric, Sunwoo's best friend.." said Y/N. "Eric? As in Eric Son?" asked Jiyeon in a disgusted tone. "Um.. Yes.." replied Y/N. Lisa called Y/N and whispered something in to her ear. Y/N nodded and approached me, "Jiyeon and Lisa aren't in good terms with Eric.. Can you sit somewhere else for today?" she whispered. I hummed a yes and pushed Eric towards another table, away from Y/N's'.
None of us were hungry so we decided to have a little chat and I let Eric start. "Hey Sunwoo.. I never got to ask.. Why did you come to our school anyways?" asked Eric leaning towards me. "I er... followed Y/N here.. I met her at my shrine in the forest and you know.." I responded. "Why follow her?" Eric questioned. "She... looks like someone I know.." I said, not wanting to spill all the details to Eric. "Hmmm.. Who?" Eric was such a curious person unlike Y/N. "Well... Yong Sook.. You know that I'm immortal right Eric?" I asked, what if he doesn't. "Of course.. As soon as I knew that my guardian angel was a nine-tailed fox, I googled it up.." replied Eric with enthusiasm in his voice. "Well, you see, Yong Sook, is a girl, from the Joseon Dynasty, and I... fell in love with her.. She was more than okay with falling in love with a spiritual creature like myself. She was a very beautiful girl, very similar, almost the same, to Y/N. She fell for me and so did I. We were madly in love with each other. But, the time I could stay in the mortal world was very limited, since I spent most of my time with her rather than in my shrine. She got to know that I would be leaving in a few days. And she knew that once I leave, I'd only be coming back after two thousand years. She told me, that she was happy for all the memories she had made with me and that she was ready to let me go. She thought it was best for her to let me go since there was nothing that she could do to keep me behind" .
I let out a deep breath and continued, "Though there was nothing she could since she was a mere mortal, there was something else. I vaguely remember master saying something like that, he told me that, if I wanted to stay in the mortal world forever, I'd have to become a mortal, and for that to happen, I must sacrifice the soul of my most cherished and loved one. I didn't want Sook to sacrifice herself for my selfishness, hence I gave her the best memories in her life and left for good.. And now, I'm back and then, at the shrine, I saw Sook, or Y/N, I could say, she looked just like her. Only if I knew that they were completely different. I followed the reincarnation of the love of my life, or so I thought, and it led me here, where I got to know, that Y/N and Sook were completely different people. Y/N is delightfully clumsy and chaotic ; a beautiful mess.. Loving her is a splendid adventure.. Now, I love Y/N for who she is and not because of the fact that she resembles Sook.." I ended. "Wow Sunwoo.. You have such an interesting history.." breathed Eric. 'You know Eric, beauty, isn't about having just a pretty face, it's about having a pretty mind, heart and soul.. I hope you find someone like that too.." I smiled.
"Can I ask for one more thing?" asked Eric cupping his cheeks with his hands. "Yes?" I replied. "What do you find different in Y/N and Sook? And why do love Y/N? What do you find in Y/N that you couldn't find in Sook?". "That's definitely more than one though.." I chuckled but decided to answer anyways. "Well.. difference? you see it, What I find? I have no idea myself, Why I love her? That's something I know for certain.. She's beautiful, but not like the girls who find in what you call magazines, she's beautiful, for the way she thinks, for the sparkle in her eyes whenever she talked about something she loved with others. She's beautiful for her ability to make people smile, even when she was broken.. She was never beautiful for something that was so temporary as her looks, she's beautiful deep down in her heart and soul... And yes, there are over million languages in this world, but none of them can describe the way she makes me feel every time I hear her voice or hear her laugh." I ended, surprised at the words that spilled out..
"Woah.." said Eric batting his eyelashes. I heard a sound of a chair being dragged somewhere close to me as I heard a familiar voice. "Juyeon? Why are you here?" I heard Y/N's voice say as I turned to face their table..
