Chapter 20

~Narrator's POV~

"Ah crap" Sunwoo said to himself. 'Maybe I can just wipe her memory off right? But, what if I wipe myself off her memories?! We just got together! Why is god being so cruel?!' Sunwoo cried in his mind. 'Good thing it's almost midnight by now... There aren't a lot of people.. So-" his thoughts were cut off by Y/N's deafening scream as she started to get up and run away from him. "Y/N! Y/N!" yelled Sunwoo after her as he followed. "What was he?! Was he a nine tailed fox?! The kind I saw in that shrine a few months ago?! He's so mean. He never even told me about his true self. As if I'd believe him if he told me either. And now, here I am running for my life away from him!!" she yelled to herself, wiping off tears as she was running away from Sunwoo in full speed. "Y/N wait! I can explain!" he yelled. "No! You didn't even bother to tell me before! I trusted you!" she cried. She knew that she was heartbroken for two reasons ; one, one of her best friends had lied to her about who he really was. Two, her new found boyfriend was a nine tailed fox spirit. But, what she didn't know was that she was about to have a déjà vu.

She was running away so fast that she didn't even pay attention to where she was going. All she noticed was that her lover, was following her as he was levitating in the air with nine tails and white hair and a glowing aura around him. "Get away from me you... thing!!" she yelled, but it made no difference. Sunwoo kept following her. "I don't want to hurt you! I'd never do that to you!" Sunwoo too, kept yelling. "No I--!" her words were cut off when she tripped on a broken branch and fell down. "Y/N please.." said Sunwoo in a comforting voice as he came closer to her. "No! STAY AWAY!!" she screamed and started running away, yet again. "Y/N be careful there's a... cliff!!" yelled Sunwoo, who was getting flashbacks to when he first met Y/N. But he was too late. Y/N was already tumbling down the cliff. "Y/N!!!" Sunwoo screamed, even louder than Y/N.

Y/N felt a searing pain in her body as she fell on to the ground. She felt as if falling down a cliff was already ticked off her bucket list, but she couldn't remember when. Sunwoo appeared in front of her, just like he had appeared on the day they first met, a glowing silhouette with nine tails. And then, suddenly, Y/N felt all her lost memories flood in to her mind. She remembered that she had fallen off a cliff on the day of the school trip and who her mysterious hero was, she remembered her hero's glowing white aura as if he were made of pure light. She remembered the nine tails and his manly silhouette. But then, she felt as if she was already dying, she was aching everywhere and her whole body was stinging from the scrapes and scratches that the fall had given her. All she could manage to say just before her eyes fluttered close was, "It was you" .

And then, she awoke. On a hospital bed. She tilted her aching head a little to the side to find Wooyoung and San, who was laying his head on Wooyoung shoulder.

She chuckled to herself and continued to sleep for a few more minutes or hours.

"Y/N? You finally awake?" asked Wooyoung, who had just awoken and had noticed Y/N's eyes flutter open. "Huh?" said Y/N, sitting up with the help of her cousin and his boyfriend who just came out of the bathroom, with wet damp hair, which Wooyoung (and me) found highly attractive.

"What happened?" asked Wooyoung sitting down, followed by San. "Yeah, that boy with huge lips carried you all the way here and called us. And he left just after we came.." nodded San. "Boy with huge lips? Sunwoo?" Y/N said. "If the boy whom you tutor is called that, then yes, it was Sunwoo who dropped you off in here.." said Wooyoung. "Oh..." Y/N said. "Now, tell us what happened to you..." said Wooyoung. "I fell down a cliff... again..." she sighed. "YOU FELL DOWN A CLIFF?!! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!" screamed Wooyoung. "I was running away from Su-- a bug when I was with Sunwoo and I tripped and fell down a cliff.." said Y/N, slowly covering her ears, since she knew what was to come. "YOU WHAT?!! YOU TRIPPED AND FELL DOWN A CLIFF?! HOW THE HECK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT?!!" yelled Wooyoung. "What were you doing with Sunwoo?" asked San, wiggling his eyebrows. "I was on a date.. " Y/N huffed. "YOU WERE ON A DATE?!" yelled Wooyoung, yet again. "Yes, we're going out now.. Since yesterday.." said Y/N, calmly, as San was rubbing circles on Wooyoung's back, trying to calm him down. "Even if you believe it or not, yes, I fell down a cliff on my first date.." said Y/N. "But, why did Sunwoo leave if you were his girlfriend?" asked San. 'He didn't tell me that he was a fox spirit so I ran away from him...' said Y/N in her head.

"I don't know.. How long will I have to stay here?" asked Y/N. "For about a week maybe. Most of your injuries were healed for who-knows-why though.." said Wooyoung, who was now stroking Y/N's hair. "Did it hurt a lot?" asked Wooyoung. "No.. I fell down a cliff, but no.." said Y/N, sarcastically. "Get some rest. We'll be back with new clothes and food. Woo's mom is cooking for you at his place.." said San, who stroked Y/N's hair too, and left with Wooyoung. Y/N was ready for some more sleep when she heard a knock on the door. "Come in.." she said. "Y/N?" Sunwoo came in to her room, with a huge bouquet of flowers. They were red and pink camellias, white clovers, red chrysanthemums, lavender roses and tulips. "What are you doing here, you liar?!" asked Y/N, not even looking at his face, because she knew, that if she looked at him, words of forgiveness would flood out. Sunwoo left the bouquet by Y/N's feet and took a seat next to her. "Y/N, I'm sorry I wasn't honest with you.." he said, taking her hand in his. "I know that you won't forgive me for what I've done, just take your time, don't worry. I'll wait forever, if that is what it'll take for you to forgive me..." he sighed. Y/N took her hand away, and tackled him in to a big hug. It hurt Y/N's body so much, but she didn't care as long as she was with Sunwoo. She had no way to stay away from him, since she loved him a lot. She had no other option but to forgive him so that they can get back together and spend their entire life with each other. "I forgive you Sunwoo... But promise me to never keep secrets from me ever again!" she sobbed in to Sunwoo's shoulder as he too, hugged her back. "I promise you..." he smiled.

"Here, I got you something.." said Sunwoo, handing over the bouquet to Y/N, after they pulled away. "Thank you Sunwoo.." she replied with a kiss on Sunwoo's cheek, making him blush. "Wanna know what they mean?" he asked. "Yes please.." replied Y/N.

"Red Camellia means, 'You're a flame in my heart' "

"Pink Camellia means, 'Longing for you' ".

"White Clover means, 'Think of me' ".

"Red Chrysanthemum means, 'I love you' ".

"Lavender Rose means, 'Love at first sight' ".

"And tulips mean that I'm sorry..." he ended with a smile. "Aw Sunwoo! That's the cutest thing ever!!" she screamed as she hugged him again, but this time, she gave a quick peck on Sunwoo's lips before they pulled away. The two of them were a blushing mess.

Sunwoo stayed with Y/N for a while until Wooyoung and San had returned. "I'll come again tomorrow.." said Sunwoo, kissing Y/N for the last time that day, when he sensed that Wooyoung and San had some back with clothes, food and their moms. "Okay... and Sunwoo?" said Y/N. "Yes?" asked Sunwoo. "I love you.." Y/N flushed. "Me too.." Sunwoo smiled, and then, the next thing Y/N knew, was that he had disappeared in to thin air. "I guess I gotta get used to that now.." she chuckled to herself. Y/N was pretty fast to pretend that she was asleep when Wooyoung and San had come back. "Y/N wake up..." said Wooyoung, softly. "Huh?" Y/N was very good at acting. "We're back.." San whispered. "Oh..." I said, getting up. "Aigooo my baby! What happened to you?!" shrieked Wooyoung's mother as she hugged Y/N. "I'm fine Aunt Jung.." smiled Y/N. "The doctor said you aren't Y/N.." said San's mother, Choi Jugyeong. "Yes. You've broken your right arm and your left leg..." Y/N's aunt shook her head. "He also said that you have been very injured but they've been cured by someone he has no idea about..." she sat near Y/N broken leg and stroked Y/Ns cast. "What happened to her Wooyoung?" asked San's mother. "She fell down a cliff.. That's what she says.." said Wooyoung, shrugging. "Okay. Let's just believe what she says.." sighed Aunt Jung.

Three weeks later:

Sunwoo had always come to visit Y/N with huge bouquets of flowers for her, and so did her best friends, Lisa, Jiyeon and Juyeon. But, Sunwoo had come to visit her each and every day till her discharge....

"Y/N!! Are you good now? Do you need any help?" yelled Juyeon as soon as Y/N entered her classroom with Sunwoo linking arms with her, helping Y/N with her crutch. "Hi and I'm fine now.. Really.." she smiled. "I'm sorry I couldn't come visit you a lot. I had very important stuff to do... And Y/N, great news! I GOT ACCEPTED!!" Juyeon's mood was down a bit but then, it lightened up. "Oh my god really?!" Y/N yelled. "Yes. I was so busy so I couldn't visit you regularly... I'm a trainee under Bighit Entertainment.. And CEO told me that if I train well, I'd come out as a back-up dancer for BTS!!!" he yelled again. "That's awesome Juyeon! See, I told you..." Y/N beamed. "And, I didn't see you after my audition. Did something happen during that?" asked Juyeon, guiltily. "No.. I fell down a cliff when I was with Sunwoo... And I had somewhere to be so I left my friend with you.. I think you saw her.." said Y/N. "Yup.. I saw her. She was cheering for me the whole time.. " said Juyeon. "And Sunwoo didn't even catch you? When you fell?" asked Juyeon, raising his eyebrows. "No, I did.. I was the one who took her to the hospital.." Sunwoo said, interfering. "So she was with you then?" Juyeon stepped forward. "Yes, we were on a date... We're going out now.." said Sunwoo as he too, took a step forward. "Oh.. O-okay then..." Juyeon stepped back. "I'm happy for you two..." he said. "Thank you Juyeon. And he was the one I was talking about that day... The one that my heart belongs to..." Y/N blushed, as she sat down with Jongho's help, who was next to her.

"Can I talk to you Sunwoo?" asked Juyeon as he dragged Sunwoo away from Y/N, before he even said yes, leaving Y/N to explain what happened to her to, Jongho, Yeosang and Yunho, her classmates. "What?!" asked Sunwoo, removing his hand from Juyeons grasp. "I-I like her Sunwoo... And I told her. But she had already chosen you over me.." said Juyeon. "Make her happy for me..." Juyeon smiled and walked away, before Sunwoo could blame him.

What Juyeon said was a question mark in Sunwoo's head. He went to Y/N and sat next to her. "Y/N? Why did you choose me over everyone else? I'm not rich or handsome..." he asked. "Sunwoo, the perfect guy isn't the one who has the most money or the most handsome one you'll meet. He is the one who knows how to make you smile and will take care of you each and everyday until the end of time... And you Sunwoo, were the only guy who could make me happy and smile..." said Y/N, smiling as she caressed his face. "SUNWOO MY FRIEND!!" their romantic moment had been interrupted by a screaming Eric. "Hi Eric!" said Y/N cheerfully. "So your dating now?" asked Eric. "Yup... we are.." said Sunwoo.

RINGG!!! Their lunch bell was rung before they even knew it. "Hey Sunwoo! Let's go.." said Y/N, getting up. "Okay.." Sunwoo smiled as he followed her. "I'm coming too!!" yelled Eric, third-wheeling again. They sat in their usual table with everyone else and started eating along with a small chat. "Wait are you-?" asked Lisa as she noticed Sunwoo and Y/N holding hands. "Hehe... Sorryyy, I couldn't tell you sooner..." said Y/N, shyly. "This is great news! And also, Jiyeon managed to get Juyeon's number when you sent her to his audition and ran away with Sunwoo.." said Lisa, clapping her hands. The group, who was later joined by Juyeon and Younghoon, finished having their lunch just as the bell rang. "Hey Sunwoo can I talk to you? Alone?" asked Eric as he dragged Sunwoo to a corner after he nodded, he was already sick of being dragged away. "Don't get too attached to her okay.." asked Eric when they were secure enough. "I don't want to see her heart broken when you leave in a few weeks" stated Eric. "Eric, I love her so much, so I have no guts to not get attached to her... She's different from Sook, she's stronger, the strongest I've ever seen" said Sunwoo. Eric let out a huge sigh, "She's a girl too Sunwoo, girls in the Joseon Dynasty were stronger since they've suffered much worse, but the girls in the 21st century get heart broken easily..." said Eric. "I shouldn't have told her how I feel.." sighed Sunwoo. "It's too late to regret Sunwoo.." Eric said, just as the second bell rang. "We'd better get back. Y/N must be waiting for me.." Sunwoo walked away from Eric, towards his class, and Eric was left alone.

"What do you mean he's leaving?" said a voice, which belonged to someone who had mistakenly heard their whole conversation. "Y/N?".
