Margaret Brown, the daughter of a wealthy Northern merchant, hasn't left her fathers side since her mother's death. The year is 1860, and Margaret, as per usual, is forced to accompany her father on a business trip to the South. Though the trip begins regularly enough, her world is turned upside down after meeting her father's partners largest disappointment: his second son, Charles.
