Entering the Capital!

'Hmm... oh thank god!' David checked his inventory, finding out that he did have everything, including the document papers.

"What's wrong? Did you forget something?" Bennett raised his eyebrows at David's distressed face.

"Oh. It's nothing, I thought I forgot my identification papers since I did pass out in the middle of nowhere..." David replied.

"Good, seems like we don't have to go through that trouble then..." Bennett nodded.

"Oh, by the way, do you feel any different?" David suddenly asked.

"No... Why?" Bennett tilted his head in confusion.

"You saw the interface too I assume, so I thought integrating... even with an inferior system would... y'know, make you feel different?" David replied.

"Maybe it's just that it hasn't fully integrated itself." Bennett said.

"True, I didn't receive any new notifications." David muttered.

"Alright, let's not talk about that then, let's go get me a visa!" David threw his hands up into the air.

They exited the carriage, David actually got out last because of his attire, he changed his clothes so he looked presentable, at least for a noble in the ranking of a marquis. David changed into his scale clothes, which was transformed into a business casual grey turtle neck with long black pants and black laceless shoes. With his black hair and his style, he seems to be quite confident, making him seem even more handsome... until Bennett came in front of him with sparkling eyes.

"When'd you change?" Bennett asked, looking up and down at David's new clothes.

"I did tell you that I'm a hybrid, this is technically a part of my body ok?" David avoided his stares.

Walking towards the gates of Uesta that was full of people. Due to the fact, the carriage they exited was that of a high-ranking noble's they went onto the noble lines to get checked.

Because it was in the afternoon now, there weren't any nobles as most of them either go in/out in the morning or night.

With Bennett's proof of his noble rank, David easily got a new permanent visa to Uesta as the guard wanted to get on the good side of a friend of a young master. Plus, David did look like a noble himself too, which would make sense since his friend was a noble.

Getting back on the carriage, they rode through the gates into the capital.

Uesta was already beautiful as the citizens of Bales did paint quite the image into his mind, but after seeing it for himself, he definitely knew why they said so.

There seemed to be multiple sections of the capital as there were multiple walls, the outer walls with the most space to house the ordinary, the inner walls that house the nobles, and the core walls that support the entire royal family. Being based on that, the houses are better once you reach the upper middle part of the commoner lands. Then for the inner walls would be dependant on rank.

(A/N: Knight -> Merchant -> Baron -> Viscount -> Count -> Marquis/Ministers -> Dukes/Prime Ministers -> Rulers)

"Alright, since I'm heading home... do you want to come with me? Although my parents are nobles, they're one of the kind ones. I've even seen it in action!" Bennett tried convincing David to come over.

"I... sure, I trust your judgment." David agreed.

"Alright! Although going home is cool, I want to at least show you the capital!" Bennett smiled.

"Mn... thank you." David showed a soft smile.

"We're friends! No worries!" Bennett grinned.

Putting his hands on the blinds, he slightly lifted them, looking at the sight around them again. The buildings in the commoner's area are quite nice, just like what you would see in a regular anime, there were tons of similar houses with white walls and the only real difference was usually the color of the walls and the extras of the houses. Some have an extra floor, some have an extra expansion, for example, a building that has an L shape on a top view.

The only buildings that were modern were the middle-class houses and the guilds which are located in the upper region of the commoner's area. For the middle class, their buildings were quite different, some had large brick houses, some were actual modern houses, there was quite a variety.

The guilds were actually just glorified commoner houses, but for David who was able to sense magic much better than humans, he could sense that it was even more reinforced than the guilds back in Bales City.

Most of the differences in the guild were about what they do, for the Adventurer's Guild, it's just building with enhanced stone and wood with a sign, while the Commerce guild literally looks like a modern bank, and the Apothecary guild seems to have a magic tree as their roof, and the alchemist guild & blacksmith guild with their similarities to the adventurer's guild.

It was actually quite surprising as it seems as if most of the commoners were enjoying their time here, even if they were demi-humans. There didn't even seem to be much of... anything suspicious going on either, and it was mostly peaceful. The stands that were selling vegetables, food, imported items, it was all very lively everywhere, and so were the businesses, like the restaurants, factories, etc. It actually didn't feel medieval at all, until he saw what the people wore and the difference in class.

With sparkling eyes, David looked at everything he could, seeing that expression Bennett smiled since he rarely saw this kind of expression on his best friend.

"Hehehe... like what you see?" Bennett grinned seeing David's surprised expression at everything.

"Yeah... it seems like a great place overall." He absently said.

"Alright, alright. Stop your daydreaming, we're close to my family's home now... hmm... maybe you should dress up a bit more." Bennett suggested, looking at David's current wear.

"Really? This isn't enough? What is considered 'dressed up' then?" David asked.

"Mnnn... I guess something you would see when going to a job interview? I mean, the clothing for nobles here is basically the same as those back on Earth." Bennett suggested.

"Well... alright then." Closing his eyes, he changed his clothes into a classic navy blue suit with a classic black tie, making him look more sharp and cold than approachable when he was wearing his business casual.

"Ohh! Nice!" Bennett nodded in approval.

"Thanks! I do hope that your... parents can accept me, but we might have some problems as I'm not a noble." David furrowed his brows.

"Don't worry! As I said, I'm sure my parents will treat you well." Bennett said seriously.

"Mn..." David smiled, clearly cheered up with Bennett's comforting.

Looking out the window again, David saw that he was already in the noble area, as all the houses were much bigger and so were the lands around it, most likely for parties, and such.

Then, in front of David, he saw a large western mansion with Bennett's family crest. Due to their name being Vale, their crest showed a large valley and greenery as their crest. The house looked like it was from a time slightly older than the 2000s, but it was still more prominent than the other houses as they were one of the 'true' noble houses in the kingdom of Uesta.

Looking at the massive mansion in front of him, David suddenly realized something, "Wait a minute... we never talked about etiquette!"
