As the system's voice ran through David's head, he furrowed his brows as he felt that something was being branded into his left arm.

Feeling a burning sensation, he lifted up his left sleeve and saw that Vale's family crest was being branded onto his left arm. From the symbol alone, he could tell that they weren't lying to him and they were really ready to accept him as a family member.

Bennett watched calmly... he knew that this was the same process he went through as a child, and he trusted his family to not mistreat him after he integrated into the family.

David could see that the process was very tiresome, as he could sense a large portion of Ben's mana was being used just to put a crest onto his arm, so to make it easier, he also began using his magic to help the flow of magic.

As the crest was slowly forming onto his arm, David was practicing magic by helping Ben, so it was a win-win situation for him right now.

David looked at the screen and slightly panicked at seeing the last message the system sent as he thought about all the pain he went through with gaining attributes, evolving, etc.

He grit his teeth, bracing for some pain... but... it never happened.

'Eh?' David began to feel warm, it wasn't just him though, everyone in the basement could see that he was steaming as if something was being evaporated from him.

The steam rose to the ceiling and began filling the room at a rapid pace.

Sarah was about to step in... but then, the steam all rushed to one place, to David!

The steam was constantly being... purified? As it went to David's body, he felt as if his urges and rationality were merging into one. His mind cleared as more and more of the steam went into his body, making him open his eyes with undescribable clearness to them.

David could feel the connection between both the humans and the beasts much more clearly now. If he was someone the edged on the line of both before, now he was someone who can walk on both paths and switch as he wished.

The crest was already fully implanted on his arm by the time all the steam was absorbed.

The glowing light disappeared, and both Ben and David collapsed onto the floor.

David, being in better shape, was only kneeling for a few seconds to look at the messages he received before he got up. There weren't any visible changes on his body, but his overall senses and control seemed to have been enhanced by a large margin.

Realizing what was happening, David reached out to Ben, who was just panting.

"Father, are you alright?" David was worried, after all, he finally had a 'family' this time.

"I'm fine... I'm fine, just... exhausted." He held his hand up and leaned on Sarah to get up.

"Don't worry, this happened with Bennett too. It wasn't supposed to take so much mana, but it seems that you're both special." Sarah comforted.

"Don't worry, father will be fine after just sleeping for the night." Bennett patted David's back.

After making sure that Ben was alright, Sarah carried Ben back to his room, and Bennett went to David's room.

David had cleaned up as he found that some sludge had been coming out of his body when he returned to his room. Bennett was surprised at the condition that the room was in.

"As usual, David loves to clean..." Bennett muttered, imagining how his mother was going to yell at him about this, even though they have servants for this very purpose.

Coming out of the shower, David wore a white buttoned pajama with two of the upper buttons off. With the added effect of him still drying his hair with the towel, if Bennett wasn't a man... or if maid were there, they would be urged to pounce on him.

Drying the wet towel, David folded it neatly before placing it in one of the bins in his closet.

Seeing that David was out, Bennett asked, "So, are you going to go to school with me?"

"Eh? Oh, shoot! I thought you'd be an adult by this time... wait, you're a noble." David stopped himself after realizing why.

"Yep, for nobles... we need to be the 'best of the best' and everything like that." Bennett said.

"Do I... need to go? Wait, yeah, most likely I have to go as well, right?" David deadpanned.

"Yep, school all over again. At least this time we can actually apply what we learned to real life." Bennett leaned back onto the bed.

"Sure, I don't have much to do." 'Damn... more trouble' His words and thought were completely different.

"Alright, then I'll tell them that today so we can get an extra copy of supplies for school next month." Bennett said.

"Next month huh... guess I need to learn as much as being a noble should be within that time now." David muttered.

"... hah... alright then... just tell them." David didn't even try to resist the upcoming work, it might be good to take a break from all the fighting for a few days.

"They'll be happy to hear that!" Bennett grinned as if to say 'Time for you to suffer with me.'

Bennett ran to Sarah's room after getting his permission.

Ben was in Sarah's bed, asleep while Sarah was gently caressing his cheeks.

"We finally got Bennett to open up..." She thought of the times where Bennett was just in his room doing something private, usually never talking to his elder brother or parents.

She heard the door creak open, sensing that it was Bennett, she closed her eyes and 'smiled' at him.

"Dear, I reminded you that you must knock on the door." She 'gently' reminded.

"Y-yes... mother... I have a message." Bennett's voice which was ready to shout in excitement instantly had cold water poured down on him seeing his mother's cold smile.

"Then speak, dear." she calmed down and encouraged him to keep talking.

"David said that he wants to go to school with me. He is also aware tha-" Before Bennett could continue, he was grabbed by Sarah.

When they finally reached downstairs did Sarah release Bennett from her grasp.

"Really? He really said that?" her eyes shined in obvious excitement.

"Yyyyyyyeeeeeessssss." Bennett was being shaken as she was asking so that was the only way he could answer.

"Ok! You go take care of your father while I go order some servants to buy the goods." Sarah didn't even ask for his opinion before she ran off.

Sighing, Bennett went to Ben's room to take care of him.
