Getting a decent summary of the history of the world as most of the stuff here would most likely have some propaganda, David placed all the books back before returning to his room.

Arriving back at his room, David laid on the bed, entering his [Personal Space] from the system.

Seeing the usual cottage and white void, the second thing he did was looking at the shop first thing to see what he could buy.

'Wait... 2nd mutat-' Although David was in his personal space, he was immediately kicked out so he could fully "experience" his mutation.

"Fuck... fuck... fuck...!" David fell onto his bed and began to wrap himself and huddle into a ball as he was muffled, screaming.

'I didn't even buy my fucking darts yet!' Although it wasn't as painful as before, having your entire body break and reform should still be high on the pain scale... right?

It wasn't too painful, as it was mostly just the body excreating sludge waste, which David noticed early on, and quickly went to the shower to wash everything off.

Washing off the last piece of sludge, David exited the shower and went back into his [Personal Space] so he could check what the mutation did this time.

"Well... since I did get 10 darts, I don't need to exchange it for shop points for now." David clicked onto the lottery, and did a ten pull on the material banner, hoping to get some 'items'.

"I... don't have to eat it... do I?" He asked himself, but it was one of the more plausible answers so far.

"... hissss... just do it!" David threw the core into his mouth and bit into the rank 1 core.

Eating all three rank 1 cores in one go, he opened up the notification menu to see if anything has changed.

Due to the fact he was still in his personal space, he didn't feel anything yet. Instead of just sitting there, David went into the void, trying to get used to his body after the powerup. Spending what felt like a few hours, he wasn't sweating at all since his stamina had also increased.

Walking to the corner of the cottage and leaving the space, he felt a surge of warmth rush through his entire body, he felt more in tune with his surroundings.

Although being in his [Personal Space] is nice and all, it still took a long time to get used to his body as the sun was setting.

"Seems like it's about time for dinner..."As he said that, a knock on the door was heard, "Dinner's ready, come downstairs!" it was Sarah's cheerful voice.

"Coming!" he replied. 'Seems like Ben should have recovered by now'

Going downstairs, David saw that Ben was already sitting at the dinner table with Bennett.

"Father! Are you fully recovered? Should be out of bed right now?" Although David knew he should be mostly fine, he still wanted to know for sure.

Feeling his heart warm up, Ben replied, "Hah! Don't worry, I feel much better after today's nap!" giving a big grin, showing that he's much more open with David than before.

Seeing that Ben really did recover, he sat on the other side of the table, next to Bennett.

For dinner, they were eating a homecooked meal, most likely made from Sarah. It was the weekend still, which was the only time where Sarah cooked, according to everyone else.

The meal was quite large, a whole fish (roasted) with a bunch of vegetables and peppers topped with some basil. For the side dishes, they were just some chowder soup for all four of us, coupled with... rice! Yeah, rice!

Although they were a noble family, in their own homes, they sure didn't act like it. Like a happy family, they ate and talked, well, we were just more worried for Ben, but he seems to be fine.

Slightly poking Bennett, David asked, "Psst. Dude, I want to ask. Are you adopted too?"

"No, I looked just like my parents don't I?" Bennett raised his brow in confusion.

"But... you don't seem to have water or an ice attribute though." David rebutted.

"I... I just haven't awakened it yet, that's all." Bennett started to eat more, ignoring David.

"M-mother, I have a question..." he took a bite of the fish.

"Yes, dear?" Sarah replied.

"I want to ask about... big brother? What does he do?" He did remember hearing about Bennett having an older brother.

Hearing this topic, Ben and Sarah both look at each other. Coming to an agreement, Sarah starts talking.

"He... well, I guess you could call him a hero?" Sarah summarized.

"Mn?" David looked at her, waiting for her to continue.

"Your older brother, Samuel, or just Sam, is a legend around the world. Did you read the fairytale, Samuel and the Sword in the Stone?" She asked.

"I di- oh! Oh..." David realized and nodded in amazement.

"Yep, that's my boy!" Ben laughed.

After that, the family opened up to each other, making David feel much closer to everyone than ever, feeling like he has a real family.

Afterward, he went upstairs to brush his teeth before going to bed, somewhat drained but also excited for tomorrow.
