David didn't even see Mr. Gluri change into a stance, and was instead, already in a defensive position as soon as he began the match.
The dense pressure that was weighing on David was frightening, as if a full-grown adult elephant was on his back, constantly stomping on him at the same time.
'Shit! Experiencing end-game content for yourself is amazing when you aren't the actual avatar! Or any kind of content with violence in it...' David's eyes twitched, sharply staring at Gluri.
'Should you even be releasing such dense aura towards your students? It's even stronger than mother's magical aura!' David's claws had retracted, and he kneeled on the ground.
"Oh? Not bad! All of the other students are on the ground, basically kissing the floor, you've got some strong resistances." Gluri's eyes widened slightly in surprise before regaining their indifference.
"You... shouldn't be... doing... this..." David managed to speak out.
"Doing what?" Gluri tilted his head up slightly as if to look down on the student before him.
"... Ugh... This kind of... power flex... would either make... someone hopeless... or... ugh..." David was now in a full kneeling position with both his knees on the ground, and his hands on the ground, trying to push himself up.
'It's... too strong! I can't... even... conjure... a spell...' His concentration was all on trying not to be crushed under the pressure, which made it hard to even materialize the most basic spells which would be nearly instinctive to monster hybrids like him.
"Hopeless... or what?" His voice began to ring into David's ears like a domineering king looking down at a subject who failed to complete a task from him.
It was as if he was about to be punished with the "Off with his head" quote.
Even though his knees were pressed on the ground, David couldn't help but shake in fear, his instinct was screaming at him to just kneel and wait for the entire thing to blow out.
Of course, he was resisting that instinct with all of his willpower, feeling the adrenaline rush finally come in, David felt light...
Using this time to his own advantage, David quickly pushed himself off the ground, no even aware of the golden energy around him.
'Flux!? An ancient element even some Gods were envious of! I really found myself a great genius!' Seeing how David was able to get up from the pressure, Gluri placed his hand in front of him, quickly opening the fabric of space and pulling out a sheathed longsword.
Feeling the same kind of feeling rush into his entire body, making him shake in excitement, all of his instincts suddenly been suppressed, as if he was beginning to become one with himself, David closed his eyes.
Unsheathing the sword, Gluri revealed a long katana. The katana was unbelievably long, almost as long as Gluri himself! It was a traditional katana, black and white hilt, the circular guard, and the long blade which was slightly curved, with a simple black sheath that made the katana look ordinary... except for the length.
"Since you finally have some balls, let's finally begin then, shall we?" Gluri's voice rang into David's voice again, as if it was trying to tempt him to do something.

**(In David's Mind)**
.
Currently, David was in some sort of a meeting with his inner self, with multiple versions of himself. The environment was mostly white, though it was quite misty and dusty everywhere. There was a city around him, currently going through multiple seasons of snow, rain, and thunder at the same time. It was a decently heated debate, though there were some table slams and such going on in front of the 'main' David.
"What am I afraid of? This is just an assessment!"
"But... that look just screams to kill!"
"I agree, why don't we just give up?"
"Why should we? Since it's an assessment, shouldn't we be fighting at full capacity to improve ourselves!?"
"..."
"But what if it isn't an assessment? What if we offend him, is he really even a professor?"
"We can't fight him... we can't... can't..."
"So what? Do we just lay there and die? No! At the very least we fight!"
"Hell no! We have no chance with that monster!"
"Guys... we need to calm down, although the-"
"Shut up!" The two sub-Davids replied in unison.
"Fuck... we're going to die... we're going to die..."
"If your so damn afraid, then get the hell out of this room!"
"Tsk. Reckless asshole."
"I'm you, you shithead!"
"Right back at you!"
"..." The main David was clenching his fists as the suppressed emotions who were babbling in front of him.
David's anger had reached his peak, "Shut. The. Hell Up." the emotions of him slowly stabilized themselves, they turned their heads to look at him.
His own aura was spilling out as if to threaten the other versions of David by eating them alive, making almost everyone shiver.
"Huh? You're the one who got all of us into this mess! How're you going to handle this, huh?"
"Look, he's still the main h-"
"I don't give a fucking damn! Look at this motherfucker who can't get shit right!" he slammed his fist onto the table.
"..."
"You afraid? Why'd you talk so threatening earlier huh? We're all pieces of shit here since our leader is someone so damn incapable." he mocked.
"..." David's face darkened further.
"We are your emotions! We know you better than anyone else! Just admit it, we're shit... and we might even die!"
"..."
Seeing how he didn't respond, the version of David stood up and walked over to him.
"Are you done?"
The voice rang out to every version of David, including the one who was walking towards him currently.
The coldness in his voice made everyone shiver, taking a step back as they all stood up.
"I see I've been bottling up my emotions a bit too much recently... seems like I need to release a bit..." David walked towards the other version of David, "I am you... you are me. Why should I listen to you? I... am... in... control." he emphasized.
"So? We can do tha-"
*Boom!*
"Argh!" the other version of David threw up blood after being punched, sent to the other end of the meeting room.
"I will not repeat myself again... I... am... in... control... do you... understand?" David coldly stared at the other emotions with no difference in his expression.
David had put everyone in their place with just a few words, making them kneel down with sweat rolling down their faces.
"Don't even try to pretend... I know that none of you are me..." David decapitated all of the other versions of David, directly making the so-called 'inner world' crack.
The inner world had several cracks, seeing a decently large space, David stepped into it, bringing him back into the real world.

**(Outside)**

Opening his eyes, David stared at Gluri with a sense of indifference and coldness shining within his eyes.
"Yes... we shall, Mr. Gluri." he replied.
