Disscussion

Jack appeared, kneeled down, took a trash can, and threw up in it.

David had also appeared back in the waiting room lobby, only to smell an extremely horrible smell, 'Fuck this enhanced smell, makes it several times worse.'

David plugged his nose, breathing out of his mouth, sat down, and pulled up a recording of the battle they just had.

David still had his nose plugged, looking at Jack puking out his entire... breakfast?

"Are you done puking? You puked up like an entire meal." he commented with a slightly disgusted expression.

Jack wiped his mouth, and rinsed his mouth with water, "Yeah, sorry about that."

They sat together and began to go over the quick spar they had.

"So... before we go over the battle. Is there anything wrong with your body?" David seriously asked.

"I... yes. I do have an injury that makes it hard to breathe the longer I fight. It also affects my vision from time to time." he admitted.

'A lung disease...?'

David wasn't a doctor, so his knowledge in stuff like this was very low.

[The Host's {Healing Magic} is currently too low to heal Jackson's injury]

Hearing the system's message, he furrowed his brows.

"Well... if that's the case, can't you at least get it checked out for any source of treatment? I haven't seen you go to the academy hospital at all." David looked at him.

"Before I entered the academy, I already made my situation known, but even the nurses there don't know. I need an apothecary expert or master at the very least to cure my disease... they said." he sighed.

"I see... Well, I'm still going to say some suggestions whether they're possible to do or not." David shrugged.

"That's fine. Rather have some impossible goal than none." Jack nodded.

"Well, you've tried to do... something like teleportation, or some sort of movement technique which is nice, but is your vision able to take it when you aimed your dagger behind me?" David played the beginning of the fight.

"Mn... it's actually just a burst-type movement technique, but yes, I can see if I focus." Jack replied.

'Hmm... I don't know why he has a sharpshooter job... seems like something that would be a class.' David looked at his classes and jobs from the [Appraisal].

[Answering the Host's question... {Classes} and {Jobs} are very similar, it can be either-or. Meaning that someone can have two main class types... or mainly talents for them, but since said character focuses more on one class talent than the other, the class that is more focused on will appear. The other class talent will simply be a {Job}, where the effects would be weakened.]

The message in front of him surprised him, after all, he was just talking to himself, he didn't even ask a question!

'Makes much more sense... quite nice...'

David placed a finger on his chin, seemingly thinking over what Jack had said.

"I see... so your eyesight is quite good. But what about your mana? Why that also quite low?" David asked.

"Ah... that..." Jack scratched his hair in embarrassment, telling him about how he doesn't really practice anything with mana since he usually focuses on the movement technique and dagger skills to kill everything in one shot.

"T-that's... kind of stupid... man." David raised a brow, somewhat amused and disappointed at the same time.

"Ugh... don't bring it up..." Jack muttered.

'For a second-tier talent, you sure are casual...' David smiled.

"Oh yeah, how did you reach the second tier? My friend wants to gain some insights from those higher ranked than him." David tilted his head.

"Eh? I mean... sure. To be honest, there really wasn't a bottleneck, so when I was training, I broke through... I did pick the assassin class over the sharpshooter class, maybe it has something to do with that?" Jack shrugged.

'So it does have something to do with the {Job} system.' David nodded.

"Fair enough... anyway, over here. Can you tell me why you started throwing your daggers at this part of the spar?" David point to when Jack had started to reach into his uniform.

"Compared to when I had to constantly charge at you, I knew that I couldn't keep it up, nor would it do anything... so I thought it would be better if I threw my daggers to catch you off guard." Jack admitted.

"Fair enough, it's much better than moving your own body. Was it also because your movement technique was in a cooldown?" he asked.

"I... yes, it's according to my stamina, which is why I like ending fights with that at the start." Jack nodded.

"Mn... you've also mentioned that you had a choice for becoming a sharpshooter, correct?"

Jack nodded, unsure where he was going with this.

"Wait. Let me put this where you can understand. You know how assassins are people who use daggers, are fast and precise, so you trained towards that, right?"

Jack nodded.

"So if you also had the option to be a sharpshooter, that means your precision is already there, that would also mean your eyesight would be much better than those who don't have this class at all." his tone slowly becoming that of a real tutor.

"So... what's the connection between those two?" Jack asked.

"I mean... assassins are supposed to have multiple tools, so you'll have to be proficient in multiple things. Using your talent as a potential sharpshooter, you could go with things that aren't physically taxing, like... string manipulation!" David smiled.

"Ohh! That's... true..." Jack nodded as if he was enlightened.

The two had spent some more time talking about Jack's deficiencies and what he could do to try and curb them as much as possible.
