The winds howled as the downpour raged. The storm ever worsening as the people scurried to shelter. All but a single boy who stood at the edge of the roof. The rains drops flowed down his face giving the impression of tears, but his eyes held nothing but unbridled rage. They were blood red and filled with pure fury. Why? Because he was betrayed by those he cared for.
It wasn't always this way though. Once upon a time those eyes were filled with love, kindness and hope. All that change one day when he found out something heartbreaking. Everyone was born special in the world, everyone except for him. What does that mean? Quirks. Powers that the people of the world posses to do great things. Up to eighty percent of the human population had them while the remaining twenty percent were left behind.
Mocked, hated and ridiculed by all of his peers, forgotten by his own family. Slowly he became but a hollow shell of human being. The poor child wasn't even ten yet! Yet today was where he had hit his limit and he lashed out. His rage filled fire burned inside him ferociously as he hit the tree full force. Punch after punch, scrape after scrape, he began to lose the feeling of pain. His hatred for those who wronged him just kept building until he finally exploded.
All he wanted was to help. He wanted a family that cared for him. He needed a friend. He wished for his dream. He desired strength. HE WANTED TO BE A HERO!!!
"Dammit. Dammit. Dammit! DAMMIT ALL!!!" The boy cried out in fury. He last punch destroying the outer shell of the tree.
He stopped for a moment to see the state he had left his still clenched fists, dyed a dark crimson as his skin was torn and littered with splinters but it didn't matter he's been through worse. He grit his teeth as he stared down at his bloody hands. Remembering everything that he was told throughout the few years.
'Quit trying Deku!' Yelled the voice of his former friend.
'You're useless! Give up already!' He heard the voice of he used to be sister.
'He has no potential.' Came the voice of his father that he began to hate most.
'I'm sorry, Izuku! I'm so sorry!' Cried the voice of his once caring mother before she forgot him.
Izuku: "GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!" He screamed once more as he slammed his fists to the tree, taking out a rather large chunk of it off. He would have kept going if it wasn't for someone chuckling behind hind him.
"Hehehehe. Gotta say you've got a pretty good punch for a kid." Came an amused voice from behind him. He saw a tall man wearing baggy black clothes with long dark-red hair.
He smiled at the small child before crouching down to his height. The boy though wasn't taking this stranger lightly, keeping his tattered fists up ready to fight. They kept their positions until Izuku charged at the man and started to punch with whatever strength he had left in him. Not surprisingly the man was unaffected by any of it but regardless the boy kept going. What was interesting was that the strange man was smiling the entire time. He soon lifted his hand and readied his hand for a flick. Izuku got close to punch him again but he was flicked away into a tree.
The man then started to get back up but was shocked to see Izuku quickly get back up. The boy glared at the man as he ran at him once again trying to do something to hurt the man. After his initial surprise the man's features softened into a smile. Not cocky, annoyed or demeaning. No, this smile seemed almost proud. A look the little boy could not recognize as he kept throwing blows. Then he was stopped abruptly with a hand placed onto his head from the tall man. He looked up and saw the man has continued to smile as he slowly started to to pat the boy's head.
???: "Not bad kid. What's your name?" The man asked with curiosity.
Izuku: "Izuku Yagi." He stated with venom at the family name, which the man noticed.
The man took a closer look at the boy and noticed that some of his features seemed similar to some he knew. A woman he had lain with for but a single night.
???: "Tell me boy, what is your mother's name? Her maiden one as well." He asked, confusing the boy.
Izuku: "My mother's name is Inko Yagi, but her maiden name was 'Midoriya'. Why?" The boy said with a slightly annoyed tone. Understandable really considering what he's been through.
Though the man did not answer. It was as if he was frozen yet he grinned madly. In a flash he grabbed Izuku and pulled him into a tight embrace, effectively scaring the child. Yet Izuku felt it was a welcomed experience for some reason. The man kept a close eyed smile before he just dropped the boy.
???: "Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Yujiro Hanma, your true father." The man stated stated with pride.
To say Izuku was shocked would be an understatement. He felt torn between relieved, pissed, confusion, sad, and happy. No matter how how he tried to wrapped his head around it there was always stray thoughts contradicting eachother. Questions flowed through his child brain as he processed this information. Is this a joke? Can it be true? Why wasn't he around him from the beginning? What the hell is going on?!
Yujiro: "HA HA HA HA HA!!! I can see that she never mentioned me at all!" He yelled out as he grabbed the kids hand. "Looks like she has some explaining to do. Take me to your home I'd like to have a chat with your family." He said adding some emphasis on the word 'family'.
From there Izuku lead his supposed "real father" to his "home" with the rest of his "family". All the while asking himself why his mother never told him about any of this. Though it did answer some question he had over the years. After a while they had made it to the complex where the Yagi's apartment was.
For some reason Izuku had a strange feeling bubbling inside of his chest. It was as if his instincts were telling him something was going to happen once they arrived there. Whether it was good or bad has yet to be determined but he holds it to mind. They had arrived at the front door and Yujiro took the liberty to knock, rather hardly. After a few minutes the door opened to reveal a rather slender woman with dark green hair who froze at the sight of Yujiro.
Yujiro: "You know Inko, from what I can tell the only thing you did right for my son was birth him." He snarled with a sneer as she backed away slowly.
Inko: "Y-y-y-yujiro!?" She yelled as she finally feel, alerting the others in her home.
Out from the hall behind her came a skinny man with blonde hair and a little girl that resembled Izuku but there were subtle differences. Yujiro took a serious expression as he looked over the three. His scowl sending their instincts haywire as he contemplated what to do next.
Toshinori: "W-w-why the hell are you here?!" He questioned as steam rose from his body and his muscles grew slightly.
Meanwhile the little green haired lass was hiding around the corner. She new very well that her parents were pros and that they wouldn't be scared so easily. So whoever this guy is can't mean anything good, but what caught her curiosity was how he mentioned his son. It was then she took notice of Izuku standing beside the scary man.
Izumi: "Izuku! Run!" She called out causing attention to him as he gave her a confused glance.
Izuku: "Why would I run from my father?" He said with a head tilt as his mother and apparent step-father gained shocked expressions.
Inko: "H-how?!"
Yujiro: "Good question. You see you've failed the job I gave you in raising a proper fighter. Then again I shouldn't have expected much from you."
Toshinori: "Shut your trap!" He said as he went full muscle and threw a smash at Yujiro.
Well at least he attempted to. Before his attack could fully reach Yujiro intercepted and diverted the punch, then he kneed him in the jaw.
Yujiro: "So that's all the world's number one hero can do? Then again you're facing the World's Strongest Creature." He proclaimed as Izuku was shocked to see that All Might was the bastard of father.
The shock quickly turned into disgust as he looked over his so called 'family'. The hero he looked up to the most was nothing but trash. An insect compared to the man who called himself Izuku's true father. All Might had attempted to throw another smash but was stopped as he felt searing pain on the side of his face. Izumi and Inko grew scared as they saw Yujiro plunge his bare fingers into the flesh of All Might's face, but his could only stand in awe of him.
Yujiro: "How pathetic it is to have the greatest hero be brought down by what society claims to be a quirkless failure." He chuckled maniacally. "I'm sure Inko told you about me and that's why you hated my son. No hate isn't right you feared him!"
If Izuku wasn't surprised before then he sure as he was now. Not only was the world's strongest creature quirkless but even All Might feared him. Something within the boy seemed to burst, he could feel his face tightening into a smile. A sensation in his throat built itself up before it came out as.....a chuckle that quickly became full-blown laughter.
Izuku: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha! I can't....hahaha.....I can't even believe this!" He could barely finish his sentence in his fit. "Is this why I was never told!? Because you feared what I'd become!"
Inko could only look at her once precious little boy. She quickly realized though that she had help create him. Yujiro on the other hand smiled in pure glee at his son. He knew that Izuku would take after him in many ways, all his sons did, but this was more than he expected. All Might however was pissed. True he worried over how Izuku would turn out yet he was till angry the brat had the balls to act like this. (Even though they haven't dropped yet).
All Might: "Shut up brat!" He yelled as he tried to move in for an attack. Keyword 'tried' cause the moment he moved his face was slashed off and landed on the ground beside Inko.
All Might cried in pain as Inko and Izumi looked on in horror while Izuku kept up a devilish smirk. The boy had put up with the pain from these people and nothing made him happier at this moment than them in agony. But something felt off, it was as if there was something missing from it all. His smirk faltered and became a small grin. He knew this wasn't what he truly wanted so he decided it would be best to leave. With what courage he could muster he pull on his fathers pant leg and he turned to face the boy.
Izuku: "Father as much as I enjoy seeing the bastard in pain, I believe we should leave." He stated with unease.
Yujiro stared at the boy before taking a quick glance before him at the cowering people. He went into some thought and then turned to face the boy with a small smile.
Yujiro: "Sorry about that. I got a little carried away there." He said as he patted his head. "Vengeance here is not mine to take it is Izuku's. You had betrayed them and as such I will be taking him so he can train to surpass you all." He saw Izuku nod in agreement as he turned to leave.
Izuku on the other hand wanted to leave with some final words to share. He took a deep breath before he scowled at them.
Izuku: "I want you to know that tonight was all because of your actions. I will be back, stronger than any of you could hope to be. But I leave with a message to Izumi that I hope you share with our mutual friends: you'll get what coming to you." He then turned away as he heard his mother and sister cry out to him in vain.
Today marked then end of the life of Izuku Yagi but began the journey of Izuku Hanma, son of the strongest creature in the world.
