Mother's Demise, the Sons Rise

~No Pov~

The silvery light of the autumn moon encompassed the town, so bright and brilliant one could confuse it for a late day. The air was warm with the slightest bite of a chill to the skin. A perfect day for father son bonding, or father sons bashing. Two teenage boys stood side by side in their combat shorts, their red hair glistening in the evening light. The man they called 'father' stood before them, a wide wicked smirk draped across his brow.

"So are we going to stand here all night?" The towering man asked as he glared down at the two children that stood before him. "Or are we actually going to fight?" His wicked smile gleamed with anticipation.

"AAAHHH!!!!" The two young men yelled in unison. Their mighty battle cries echoing in the wind as they rushed at their father, who stood still with a smirk branded on his brow.

In no time at all they were right in front of him and readied themselves to land a punch into his solar plexus. Their arms extending and launching a blow, hitting their target. But, unlike all the foes they've faced before, Yuujiro stood tall with a demonic smile. This shocked all who stood in attendance of the fight, no more than the two boys who attacked the man.

Yet, they did not desist. With their faces scrunching into scowls they continuous let loose a barrage of punches and kicks, each one landing on vital areas that would've caused damage to any normal fight. But it was all proven useless against the sheer might of the pure iron wall that was their father, Yuujiro Hanma.

As the teens continued their assault, Yuujiro couldn't help but grin wider at all that was happening. In the midst of it all he turned to face the crowd who gasped at the true difference of strength. He looked over each and every warrior that was present. Each opponent and friend of his two sons had fought over the recent months.

"I'd like to take this moment to properly thank you all for coming here tonight." He said with nary an interruption in his words. "It makes me proud to see how popular my boys have become while I was away. The doting toddler and frightened child I knew not so long ago have greatly matured if they are brave enough to face me. It's a fine night to see that Baki and Izuku Hanma have truly begun their journey." He started in an almost proud tone as Izuku and Baki continued to pound down onto the man.

"And for that I must thank the great friends they have gained who are the ones responsible for helping them grow. And as such good friends, you have all come here tonight to bear witness to their attempt of achieving manhood against me." He growled as Baki kneed him at the base of his chin and Izuku kicked him at the back of his skull. "And watch them fail."

"How is this possible?" Ando asked aloud, not believing what he is seeing. "No matter how hard they try they can't bring this beast down."

"And these are the same two who nearly crushed my entire syndicate." Hanayama gasped as he grew a scowl at what was being unveiled tonight.

"How fitting, my sons have become shining beacons of weakness. Kings among the misfits of this world and weaklings that have made them so. Kings who are about to take their final breaths!" Yuujiro finished with a sinister look on his face.

"Shut up!" Izuku yelled as he wrapped his arms around Yuujiro's neck in hopes of suffocating him.

"You have no right to call any of them weak!" Baki yelled as he too attempted to strangle his father.

Unfortunately, like the countless times before, their attacks meant nothing to such a creature. Yuujiro simply turned around and gazed into the eyes of the now frightened Emi Akezawa. The woman who bore Baki and raised Izuku as her own was now seeing them pursue a fruitless endeavor.

'That look.' She gasped in her mind as she took in the sight before her. 'It looks like a father carrying his sons on his back.'

"So Emi...." Yuujiro's voice cut her thoughts short as she refocused herself. "How about we take their hearts out?!" He smiled at her as Izuku and Baki jumped away from him.

'He looks...so happy.' Emi thought as her eyes began to tear. 'I've never seen him so happy.'

"Well boys, I think your mother agrees with me." Yuujiro gleamed as he turned to face the teens.

'Just smile and go along with this.' Emi thought as she forced a smile, tears streaming down her face.

"Would you like a taste, Emi?" Yuujiro asked with his sneer.

"B-Baki, I-Izuku..." She cried in a low tone, her children averting their gaze to her as she clutched her heart and her smile grew. "Do your best! Give me something to be proud of!" She cheered for her boys.

Suddenly, Izuku and Baki felt a strange presence. A feeling of warmth deep within them flowed throughout their bodies as they had a unique surge of power pulse through them. Their mother's voice, the words of encouragement from the woman who raised them into the fighters they were. It all became clear to them, and they were not going to let her down.

'I'll do it for you mother.' Baki said to himself as he leaped into action.

'The one person who believed in me....' Izuku thought to himself as he grew a smile. 'There is no way in hell I'll let her down!'

"Face us properly jackass!" Baki yelled as he jumped in the air, aiming his two fingers to punch out his eyes. Only for him to be smashed to the ground by Yuujiro who kicked him so fast he could barely recognize it.

"You'll pay for that!" Izuku yelled, keeping low as he managed to dodge a kick. He thrusted his own kick upwards in hope to hit his jaw but was punched into the ground before he could make contact.

Their eyes grew blank as they lay there on the ground. Yet, in the midst of it all, they felt no pain. No discomfort of any kind. Instead, it was as if they were wrapped in a warmth that made them feel secure and protected.

'This feeling...' Baki recalled as he felt himself curl into the warmth. 'Where have I felt this before?' He asked himself as he remember a faint trace of a similar feeling. His mother coming to mind as he felt her presence near him.

'What is this?' Izuku thought to himself. 'I haven't felt like this since...' His mind flashed, showing him images of a smiling Emi looking at him, holding him in a tight embrace. '...Since mother held me in her arms the very first time.'

Their eyes widened as they regained their connection to reality. They quickly wasted no time in launching themselves to their feet away from Yuujiro. The boys smiled eagerly as they took up a battle stance.

"You hanging in there Bro?" Izuku asked in a snarky tone as he grew a small smirk.

"I was about to ask you the same thing." Baki gleamed happily as he and Izuku stared down their father, awaiting his next move.

"So that's it?" Yuujiro gave off a sinister aura. "Seems that I may actually have to take you two seriously." He said as he raised his arms up and leaned forward.

Gasps escaped the mouths of the individuals who understood what this meant. The way Yuujiro stands now may seem simple to the untrained eye but to those who know him, it was a sign of death. His heinous grin, his glaring eyes, and his stance were all the indicators needed to see that the battle was all but over for Izuku and Baki Hanma.

"This isn't good." Strydum said under his breath. "He is actually seeing them as a threat now. That means..."

'His most powerful stance.' Baki thought in surprise, but he couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride. 'I have one of those two.' He closed his eyes as he loosened his palms, unlocked his knees and raised his hands in the air.

'Pulling out all the stops, eh?' Izuku mused as he positioned his elbows at his waist, gripped his fingers and stood his feet at shoulder width apart with just a slight bend of the knees.

The three stood opposite of each other in silence. The moon illuminated the night as Yuujiro's grin grew ever wider. From there Yuujiro altered his stance as he readied himself to throw some blows at the boys. With a single step he moved to chop at Baki, neither teen moving in response. Baki simply rode the blow with a flip and landed a kick to Yuujiro's head. Once the blow landed, Yuujiro simply did the same and landed on his hand. Turning on his axis to land a blow to Baki's side.

Izuku dodged the kick with a jump and extended his legs to attempt to dislocate Yuujiro's knee. Seeing this coming, Yuujiru flipped to dodge and threw a punch at Izuku's chest. The attack hit its mark but Izuku seemed almost unfazed as he grabbed hold of the arm and altered his center of gravity. By manipulating the force of the impact and using leverage, he had actually managed to throw Yuujiro away.

"Meh he he" A low chuckle was heard from Yuujiro when he landed. "HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He laughed so hard it was as if he was intentionally trying to bust his own organs.

"The hell are you laughing at jackass?!?!?!" Izuku yelled out annoyed.

"The fact you were able to do that just proves that Baki is slacking off!!!" Yuujiro yelled out in a gravelly tone. "You, my youngest known son who has barely been training for seven years pulled off something his elder brother couldn't after training since he could crawl!"

"The hell is that supposed to mean asshole?!" Izuku was now getting furious. His breathing was ragged, his body sweating profusely, and his mind racing at a hundred miles an hour.

"It means....." Yuujrio began with a low tone. In a flash it was as if he disappeared. The shock was short lived as he materialized in front of Izuku. His grin wider than anything anyone else had seen. "That you may just be worth killing after all." He slammed an uppercut right into Izuku's stomach, sending him flying into the air. After a few seconds of being airborne, he finally landed on top of the semiconscious Baki.

Yuujiro briskly walked over to where his sons lay. As he towered over them his grin only continued to grow. His fists were clenched and his eyes burning. He grunted mildly as he began to pummel down punches onto his already beaten sons. The audience gasped in shock as tehy watched the ogre show no mercy to his own kin.

"Bastard." Yuri grumbled angrily as he went in. But before he could join the battle he was stopped by Hanayama.

"Don't. The moment this fight started we all knew the outcome would be decided by the victor. Even if the outcome was someone's death." Hanayama explained as he looked on. "They knew this very well that this could be the end and accepted it."

Emi Akezawa, accompanied by Hitoshi Kuriyagawa, watched with a saddened smile. Helplessly looking as her lover slammed her children into the ground. Tears streaming down from her eyes with every crash and grunt she heard. No matter how her mind tried to rationalize it, she couldn't see any light in the dark.

"Yuujiro..." She looked down at the fight. "It's like he's a child playing with a new toy he got for his birthday." She began walking towards Yuujiro as he continued to throw Izuku and Baki's bloodied forms to the ground. "I-I c-can't believe I'm going to lose you all." She said as she looked into the eyes of her children.

~Flashback~

"All I want is to make you proud." Baki said, a slight bruise on his cheek.

He and Izuku had met with their mother at a hotel where Yuujiro was staying when she lashed out at her sons for being failures in their father's eyes. He face twisted in rage as she looked on to the boys she spent countless hours and money so they could be the very best. The Strongest they could ever be. In her rage she lunged at them to punch them but was stopped when she soon found herself hugged by the boys.

"All we want is for you to love you sons because we love you. Just the way you are." Izuku said, his hair shadowing his eyes. A single tear dripped down his face.

~Flashback End~

Emi continued to look at the smiling yuujiro who had grabbed the boys by their throats. Their lifeless bodies dangling in his grip with nary a muscle movement. Her eyes drifted towards Izuku, who was now crying silently with blood down his face.

'Why am I such a fool?' She asked herself as she clutched at her heart.

~Flashback~

A storming night rolled into their section of the neighborhood. The bellowing sounds of crashing thunder echoing in the distance with the flashing lightning. Emi could be seen walking down the halls of her mansion calmly, her destination the bedroom of her sons. Once in front of the door she gently opened it and to her shock was a small Izuku wrapped in his blanket. The greenette quivering in fear as he shuddered at the blazing sounds oif nature.

"Izuku?" She called out gently, making the boy 'eep' in surprise. "Are you alright?" She asked as she kneeled beside him.

"Y-yes I-I'm okay." He stuttered out, clearly lying.

"Are you scared?" She asked, the boy shrinking in response. "That's alright. Everyone gets scared sometimes."

"N-not h-heroes, or Dad not even B-Baki." He stuttered, berating himself for being so fearful of noise.

"That's not true. Baki was so scared when he got home after his first training trip with your father he could barely go into dark places." She assured him, soon scooping the boy into her arms. She held him tightly making sure that he knew she was their. "And as for heroes, if they aren't scared how can they be brave?"

"H-huh?" Izuku looked up at Emi with teary eyes.

"You can't go through life without fear but you can't constantly be afraid. Let me tell you something." Izuku focused intently on Emi's words. "Being strong doesn't mean you're fearless, it doesn't mean you are the most powerful. True strength is knowing that you can overcome any obstacles in your path."

"True strength?" Izuku asked. A blaring sound of thunder roared once again making the boy dive deeper into her arms.

"I guess it's hard to understand for you now but someday you will." She hugged him in her arms tightly, giving him a gentle kiss to his forehead. "And I'll make sure to be with you every step of the way, my sweet little boy."

~Flashback End~

'How can I be so blind?' She stared at both her boys as she clenched her fists. 'How stupid am I to not realize how blessed I am to have two wonderful sons to call my own?' In her anger she grabbed hold of some stones and soil at her feet.

Before she could even process what she was doing, she threw it all into Yuujiro's face. The man stood there silent as his grin fell. In that moment he dropped the two boys and placed his attention on Emi. The woman glaring holes into him as she grit her teeth. No one dared move a muscle too scared to eve attempt to witness just what Yuujiro would do to her. Still she persisted as she kept throwing even more rocks and dirt at the man know to be the most vicious and ruthless killer in the world..

"GET AWAY FROM MY SONS YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!" She demanded as she kept throwing rocks at him. "From now on I'm your opponent!" She yelled getting ready to throw a punch.

The punch landed but Yuujrio was unaffected, yet she was the one who winced in pain. She looked down in shock seeing that it was her own hand the was broken. She brushed of the injury as she just punch him again, but she only received the same result.

"So a reformmed prostitute has it in her to start acting like a mother?" Yujiro smirked as Emi spit on his face with a sneer.

In desperation, Emi could only do the unique and powerful technique that is the art of kicking the nuts. Unfortunately, Yuujiro was unaffected by this attempt. Instead Yuujir lifted his arms and slammed his palms against the sides of her head, blood trickling down from her ears.

"The great orge isn't as strong as I once thought." She smiled, shocking Yuujiro.

Slowly, she began walking towards him. Once she was in front of teh man she wrapped her arms in a hugging manner around his neck. During which she bit down on his neck with all her strength. Seeing this Yuujiro smiled as he returned the favor.

"Your anger truly is one of a kind, Emi." He said as he tightened his hold.

*CRICK**CRIIICK**CRAAACK**SNAP*

Emi's eyes widened in horror as Yuujiro continued to increase the force of his crushing hold. Tears ran down her darkening eyes as she was finally let go, her body landing on top of her two sons. Yuujiro's expression turned emotionless as he knelt down and stared at the pile of humans he had crushed.

The others were in great shock, some could not even bare the sight they had to behold. Kuriyagawa fell to his knees in grief, unable to hold back his tears at the death of one he held so close. Strydum, Rando, Hanayama, Gaia. Everyone stared at the tragedy before them.

"Damn it. We should've known." Strydum teared up as he looked away. "We all knew that a couple of kids couldn't take on the king."

"Yuujiro..." Rando stepped forawrd. "As a fighter we all can attest to your prowess but in no way can I in good conscience just let you go." He said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Is that so?" Yuujor smiled wickedly. "Well then warriors, the best stands before you now. So you better not waste this opportunity!" He yelled as he ran at all the fighters before him. Without missing a single heartbeat he pummeled them all to the ground with little restraint. He continued to do so as he wanted more battle and nothing was going to stand in his way.

~Later~

"Sleep sweet child, sleep~ Dream sweetly dream~" A gentle song filled the air. Emi Akezawa had awoken but she knew her time was nearly done. And so in her final moments she did the one thing she needed to do. She sang a sweet lullaby while she held her two boys close to her.

"Sleep my children and dream~ I'll forever live in your heart~ Sleep dear children rest you heads~ Smile tomorrow, smile for me.....~" Her eyes slowly lose their light and the tears that stained her face fell silent. Emi Akezawa, mother too two sons, was no longer there.

~Scene Change~

The sun has risen, the day was clear, and the people one the street were concerned and scared down the road. Baki traveled along smiling like a child. Izuku silently walking behind him, his eyes shadowed by his hair as he could not bare to watch.

"Why are they acting so strange?" Baki asked as he carried his mother Emi on his back.

"Maybe they're just intimidated. After all not all sons carry their mothers like this." Emi chuckled softly as she held on to her son.

"Well we're closer than any other family. We just love eachother so much. Right?! Right?" Baki's tone grew weak. His eyes narrowing as he felt a sudden shock.

*CLINK* A small silver ring fell from his hand. In a panic he began to rapidly search for the item, sighing softly as he found it. Tears were running down his face as he held the last remnant of his mother to his heart.

"What's going on here?" A stranger dressed in a costume questioned as he walked onto the scene. "Hey, brats! Get outta here you're disturb-GAH!" He was interrupted when Izuku punched him in the gut, shocking the people. Izuku then grabbed hold of teh man's face and smashed it into a nearby window.

"Just be quiet." Izuku grimaced as he glared at the crowd. "Just be quiet and let my brother dream. Just for a bit longer." He requested, his lips quivering at every word as tears continued to run down his face.

After a moment, Baki got back up walking slowly as the tears continued to flow. Izuku silently walked behind him, leaving behind a crowd of shocked citizens. Soon, police officers had gathered to see what the commotion was and seeing a hero smashed through a window threw them for a loop.

"Hey get back here!" The cop said before he was grabbed by his shoulder. "Mr. Kido?"

"Let them go." He ordered. "Those two have had enough today. Lets not make it any worse for them." He said, leading the cops off.

~Scene Change~

Baki and Izuku stood under a bridge near a river, their favorite place to go whenever they just needed to chill and think. Izuku was quietly digging a hole while his brother still held the ring close. Once the hole was finished Baki carefully placed the jewelry into it as he and Izuku buried it. After placing a few stones as a grave marker, they offered a prayer in complete silence.

"Two years." Baki said, breaking the silence.

"What?" Izuku was now puzzled.

"I'm leaving Japan for two years. I'll do nothing but train to get stronger and when I return..." Baki gripped his teeth in rage. "I'll kill that old man."

"Baki..." Izuku said as he looked upon his older brother. 'You loved mother more than anything. More than even I could fathom and now...'

"What about you?" Baki asked, making Izuku stare down at the river and think.

"I'll be doing the same. But it might be longer than two years." Izuku answered as he clenched his fists. "I need to get even stronger. But not only that....." 'I need to find true strength.'

"So we'll be going our separate ways then." Baki stood to face his brother. "Then do me a favor and take care of yourself."

"You too, you knucklehead." Izuku said as he and his brother shared one final embrace. After they separated, Baki began walking away, leaving Izuku with his lonesome. 'Mother. I know you loved us both but please just keep watch over Baki. He needs it more than I do.'

"I just have one last thing to do before I leave Japan." Izuku said before he left for their old house.

~Small Time Skip~

He had arrived home and began packing what things he could and leaving the things he couldn't. All that was left was a pen and two sheets of paper he had left on the small table. He sat there with a hitch in his breath as he grabbed hold of the writing utensil.

"I haven't seen them in years but I know they'll get these." He sighed and took a heavy breath before putting the tip to the pages.

"Dear Katsumi," and "Dear Ochako," was what he wrote an the the two sheets respectively.
