Training Day: Part One

 Saturday morning, clear day not a cloud in the sky, a perfect day to start what will last a lifetime. It was roughly eight in the morning when I woke this kid up, haha, one of my smacks to the back of his noggin, seems to do the trick...every time. Anyhow, He gets up eats, breakfast, gets dressed and calls up Megan.

"Hello?" Guess Megan's father answered the phone.

"Um, hi, may I speak to Megan please? It's Brandon."

"Yeah, hold on, Megan phone for you!" He was loud but not angry thankfully.

"Hiya Brandon! What's up?" Megan answered super excitedly.

Brandon looked around the room, to see if it was safe to speak, "um Robbedobb, wants you to come over...Apparently, he wants to train us."

"OKAY! Just let me ask dad first, Daaaaad, can I go over to Brandon's house to play?" a brief pause, "It's okay? Thank you daddy, I love youuuu! Yep yep, I'll be over shortly! See you soon!"

After they got off the phone, his grandmother asked him, "who was that on the phone?"

"My friend Megan, she's gonna come over and we're gonna go ride bikes!" Brandon was really excited about her coming over.

"Oh, Okay sweetie, well have fun!" His grandmother kissed him on the forehead and went outside to tend to her garden, as she usually does on a daily basis.

Roughly thirty-five minutes later, Megan had arrived, her father had drove her in his big blue Ford F-150 truck. She kissed him on the cheek and got out of the truck, closed the door, and unlike mom, he drove more slowly than she did.

Megan came up to Brandon and kissed his cheek, Brandon turned bright red, she giggled at that and smiled. Brandon's first kiss on his cheek besides his grandmother, he didn't know what to think about that.

"So what are we doing?" She asked.

"Well, its up to Robbedobb, he says training day?" I said still confused by everything.

"Hmm, well I suppose he wants me to join you, so he must have something fun planned!" Megan could not be still, she is so full of excitement.

I guess Robbedobb starting speaking again, because my mouth was moving but it was not my voice coming out.

"Okay, Megan, Brandon, what we are going to do today is, getting the both of your mental strength built up but first, we have to get someplace quiet. Brandon, I am going to give you directions, Megan, you will simply follow him. Then we will start the training. So get something to eat, and pack water, we will be out there for a good while."

Wow, what a crazy thing to happen, he just talked to where we all could hear him. We did as we were told, not a good idea to anger him from Megan told me, apparently he gets scary.

So we had a good lunch toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with wavy lays chips, then we packed up a lunch box full of ham and cheese sandwiches and water, with a few sodas for the two of us. Soon after we got done packing up our stuff, we got onto our bikes and headed off to the "training grounds".

It took maybe about five minutes to get to where we needed to go to, and to my surprise, we were in the woods. I never liked the woods, with all the bugs, and other gross things...ehhhhh. I am mostly an inside child, except for recess at school. Sigh, I guess I have to put my big boy underwear on. Especially since this thing we are doing may scare me, I have to be brave for Megan, I don't want her to see me scared...

When Robbedobb told me to stop, it looked like we were in a small area with three tree stumps that were set up into a circle. He told me to have Megan and I sit on a tree stump, and he would do the rest.

"Hey, Megan he says we need to sit on a stump."

"Okie dokie, are you excited? I know I am, this so new and cooool!" She was so excited, while I am so scared, I really am glad she is my friend.

I smiled, "Yeah, I'm pretty excited too"

So we sat on a tree stump, and before I knew it, my body was shaking bad, my head started to hurt! The next thing I knew, I seeing a tall muscular black figure. Well he wasn't black, he was more of a dark gray, and on top of that he was a solid being. He also has long dark hair, which this actually looked black. He stood up, and oh my gosh! He was so tall, like almost seven feet! He brushed the hair out of his face and I seen his eyes...I will never forget those eyes..the deepest brightest green I have ever seen. That color became my favourite color, from that very moment. When he turned around, I seen that he had what looked like scars from where wings used to be at...I wonder what had happened to him, I felt really bad about it.

"To answer your question, young one. I tore off my wings, I want nothing to do with those beings! They betrayed me, and cast me out of my home, my throne!" He bellowed causing the wind to pick up, and the trees shook so much, I swore they were gonna break on us.

"I'm sorry, you can read my mind?" I asked nervously.

"I can see what you can see, I can hear what you hear. It's all part of our bond, little one. Eventually you will be able to do the same, with practice. And eventually you can control the blackouts as well. There is much you can do, and I'm going to train you on how to utilize my power, properly."

"Ohhhhh, COOL! Okay, so what are we doing first!" I was now really excited now! I did not know about what was happening. Megan was excited as well and piped in.

"So what am I learning, Robbedobb?" Megan was probably the only one that was most excited about this.

He spoke in such a soft tone that yet was deep, it is really weird for a demon to speak so nice,"Well, first thing I am going to teach you little ones, is about...The Astral Children."

Megan and I spoke at the same time, interrupting Robbedobb, "What's the Astral Children????"

Robbedobb had a slight glare at us, breathed in deep, cracked his neck, and then smiled, "Please...do not interrupt me again..."

"Okay...", Both Megan and I were kinda scared a little, but we listened to Robbedobb, and we got quiet once more.

"Alright, now the Astral Children... They are special humans, that can have their spiritual being leave their physical embodiment. This is called Astral Projection. Now, Brandon, you are able to do this. You ever remember dreaming, that you were walking around and seeing things in your world, and just wandering? Then when you return to your body, you wake up?"

"Yeah, back when I was really little...I don't think I do anymore." I was really surprised when he said that.

"Oh trust, you still do little one, but what you are doing now is you walk on other planes, besides this one. You have been to mine many times before. A big open field, with a giant tree in the middle of it all? Also if you look far enough you can see an ocean around it?" Robbedobb had chuckled a little from saying this because he knew exactly what I was going to say.

"Like in Majora's Mask?!?" I was beyond surprised now, I always thought I was on that moon...

"Yes little one, similar to that." He was still chuckling, looks over at Megan, then started talking again.

"Now Megan, I was doing some thinking in my vast library I call my mind, and realized that you are one yourself, it came to my attention when you helped Brandon out that day, I knew you were special then when you were not in fear of me when I spread trepidation into those brats in the classroom...I knew. That was why I needed you to help me help him, you two are important. And there are many many more like yourselves, although some, are more evil than others."

He stopped talking looked at the lunchbox, and said, "Go ahead and eat while I'm talking, you little ones must be hungry."

We wasted no time, getting us our food, I grabbed two ham and cheese sandwiches and a Diet Pepsi. Megan grabbed the tuna fish she had made, and a water bottle. We start to eat when Robbedobb started to speak again.

"Alright, I will resume once more, the reason being for you little ones being special...being part of the Astral Children, is that we can communicate; spirits, entities, deities, so on and so forth." being you both can not only see and hear me, but understand me as well."

Robbedobb kept telling us more and more about the Astral children, what we can do, and what we can gain. Then he started to talk about himself, about his ability to take a spirit's "essence", that that we can learn his ability, once we get strong enough to be able to handle such a weapon, so we can protect ourselves when he isn't around.

A couple more hours passed by and after looking at my watch, it ended up being four in the afternoon. Robbedobb already knew, I really have to get used to him doing that! He chuckled and stood up, came over to me. Then he knelt down, now we were looking each other eye to eye, then he spoke.

"I know we have to get you little ones to your house, but I need to tell you something first. I may be your guardian, but from this point on you are my student. If you stray away from learning what you need to as an Astral Child, then there will be consequences. Trust, you will know..."

He had a big smile, he has teeth much like a vampire does, but they all were sharp, like a shark...He then stood up and told us to pack up and get back home. As soon as I turned around, he started to disappear slowly. He turned into a floating black mass, that flew right into my body, causing me to shake once more, this time not quite so badly and the headache did not happen this time.

This was strange...I feel...stronger? Yeah that is definitely what it is. Then Robbedobb spoke one more time.

"Thank you for listening, I gave you, as well as Megan, one-percent of my strength as a gift. This gift is from my appreciation and the obedience you two gave me. You know the way from here I'll be expecting the two of you tonight in my plane." He chuckled in my head once more, causing me to giggle a bit. This made Megan wonder what was going on.

"Um, so yeah, we get to visit Robbedobb's plane tonight, and that he gave us each one-percent of his power!"

Megan almost fell off her bike, from the shock," That's what I'm feeling!! Oh my goodness, it is incredible! But how are we going to go to Robbedobb's Plane?"

"Easy! Call your mom ,and see if you can spend the night. Then we go together so we do not get lost okay?" I was feeling confident, for once, things are really starting to go well.

After we had gotten to my house, first thing Megan did was call her house, surprisingly her mom answered the phone, Megan asked for the permission, which she had gotten. So I asked my grandmother if she could take us to her house, so she can get her clothes, she of course said yes.

So we got to her house, she got her clothes, accessories, toothbrush. Then she said her I love you's to her parents, they told her to have fun, and then we left to get back to my house. Where the night will really begin...
