Megan and I were having quite a good time together, playing monopoly, connect four. We had even turned on the Nintendo 64, and started playing Super Smash Bros. I had no idea she was really good at this game. She was seriously kicking my butt at it. We were playing for a couple of hours until Mom came in.
"Dinner time." She said.
"Okay mom, we'll be right there." Brandon replied, still focused on trying to win.
Megan had cut in, "Hmm, Brandon? Are you getting hungry?"
"Yeah actually, more than usual, how about you?" I was feeling hungrier than usual, it must be from the power, I had received.
"Yeah, I feel the same, really hungry...I hope they made plenty of food! Haha." So she pretty much left the game, turned around and looked at me, telling me to come on and get to dinner.
We get to the dinner table, and were we in for a surprise! Mom had whipped up her special mashed potatoes, stuffing, and the best of all, MEATLOAF! I loved all of this food, and by the look of it so did Megan. She didn't want to wait much longer, and neither did I. So when the bowls of food came my way, I went ahead and passed it over to Megan then I got what whatever was left. Although when the meatloaf came by, I had to get that before she did, that was the best part of it all.
As we ate, mom and my grandmother were in shock of how much we ate. Since we were so small, we didn't really eat all that much, well until recently.
After we were finished eating, we took our plates, washed them, and then put them into the dishwasher. Soon after we had gotten our showers brushed our teeth, and got the living room set up with our sleeping bags. We turned on the television, turned it to Cartoon Network, and we were watching Scooby Doo.
As we laid down watching the show, we started to talk about the plan for tonight.
"So Megan, are you ready?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm definitely a little nervous, but yeah, I think I'm ready for this." Megan sounded scared and I really didn't like the feeling I was getting from her, so I gave her some support. Which is what best friends are for, right?
"Megan, look at me. It's okay if you are scared, I am too." I paused looking at her and smiled, "It is very important that we concentrate though. Robbedobb told me that it can be very dangerous, and that we have to stay together, because if we split up....then we may not see each other ever again. I don't wanna lose you Megan. I like you...a lot..."
I was blushing to the point to where my rosy cheeks turned into a red face, and to my surprise, Megan was blushing herself. She then giggled and smiled at me. This smile was the biggest smile I had seen ever!
Then she said, "Well Brandon, I must say...I LIKE YOU A LOT TOO! Haha, I have for a while, actually." She looks at me, still blushing, kisses me on my cheek. This caused me to blush even more than I did before. Then she continued, "Besides, I would never leave you alone, ever."
When she said that, I was so relieved, I didn't want to lose another friend again. I still have nightmares about that night, every little thing, and even now it still scares me. I will not let that happen to Megan, I just won't.
So we got ready to go to sleep and as we were laying next to each other in our sleeping bags. Megan held my hand, this girl could not stop smiling. I am starting to think her frown was broken, she always looks so happy.
"Brandon, I am so glad I met you, I have never been so happy in my life." she whispered as she slowly fell asleep.
I whispered back to her, "Me too, Megan, I'll see you in a minute. Our new adventure is about to start." I kissed her cheek, and as she smiled, I laid my head down, and went to sleep.
This was crazy, I cannot believe that I never remembered doing this before. Everything looks like real life, and it was really weird when I was seeing us laying together. It made me smile, we looked so happy. I started giggling when Megan popped in, I had totally forgot that she was right next to me holding my hand still.
"What are you laughing about?" She asked, seriously not knowing what my giggling was all about.
"Look at us." I pointed at us sleeping in our sleeping bags holding hands.
"AWWWW! We look so cuuuuute!" Megan was in her own little world I guess.
"Okay Megan, we kinda need to go see Robbedobb, I don't want to make him wait..." I said with a bit of hurry.
"Oh yeah, right, haha, sorry..."
So as we walked holding our hands together, we had seen all kinds of things that we didn't really see when we were awake. Strange beings that looked like aliens, some things that looked like Robbedobb. Those beings scared me because I could feel they were not exactly something we wanted to talk to or even look at. I was really starting to wonder why I could not remember anything from before, about any of this at all.
Megan had grabbed my hand tightly and gasped, this caught my attention. Then I had seen it... this gross, evil thing was right in front of us, looking right at us. It was a giant floating eyeball with tentacles like that of an octopus, but the ends of the tentacles had eyes on it as well. A bloody purple, that was the color of the beast.
Before we knew it, the beast started floating to us, and that is when Megan and I had gotten really scared. Until...
"Children, use the power, freeze it in it's tracks and use it to find the path once more." It must have been Robbedobb, it was that distinct voice of his that made us realize. So we did what we were told and we concentrated on what he said to do. The beast was right on top of us with its tentacles fully stretched out, and the eyes started glowing. This could be over for us if this didn't work....
The beast froze, completely covered in ice, fell and laid still. Megan being scared still, she went a little overboard, and ended up causing it to shatter and blow up. She was then breathing really hard ,and the she fell to her knees. She is not used to having this sort of power, neither am I, but I am not nearly as bad as she is right now.
We rested for a little while so Megan can get back on her feet, and then about thirty minutes later, she had finally got up. She was still shaking a little, but at least she was up and moving again. I then concentrated to find our path, it took a few minutes but I think I had managed to get it to work. It did work, a beam of blue light had shot towards where we needed to go. We did not want to wait around for something else to come around and attack us again. Since Megan is weak, it is up to me to keep her safe now, at least until we get to Robbedobb's world.
We followed this guiding light for at least thirty to forty-five minutes, and then stumbled across a great sight...It was better than when I found the playground. The giant pillar of blue swirling light, it was so pretty. The light was swirling in a upward fashion, it was kind of like an elevator. It made not only my eyes grow big as the moon, but Megan's as well.
This must be how we get there, to his world. We made it, safe and soundly, Megan was looking really exhausted. Without wasting anymore time, I grabbed Megan by her waist, and threw ourselves into the unknown. It was strange being lifted up by nothing, and seeing our world getting smaller by the second.
Then there was a strange growling noise, we both looked down and seen a beast that looked like a wolf, but it was gigantic and it was racing upwards towards us. Megan started crying from being so scared of this, and I had to protect her in her current weak state. I had the flashbacks of that night with Roger, and I got so angry I had seen this beast as that man. While holding Megan in my arm, I screamed like I never did before at this beast. When I screamed the way I did at this beast, I could visibly see it hit the beast and it looked like it's skin started peeling away, causing it to slow down. So I kept screaming at it until it eventually disappeared.
I did it, by myself, I protected her from that evil beast. I slowly started losing consciousness, but I still gripping Megan in my arms, I refused to let her go and lose her. Eventually I passed out from my strain, hoping we would be at Robbedobb's soon. I could not do much more at this point. I sure hope this was the right path. If it was not the right one, then we will need help...desperately...
