Training on a Plane: Part Two

Finally, it has been way too long for this; Getting my revenge on the monster that took Roger, being reunited with Roger, and finally making out of hell. It was a relief for sure, but one thing still confuses me. Why was I being the way I was...It has to be the power. It has to be it, I have to be careful, especially in the physical world. I cannot become angry, it will just make everything worse...

When we exited the portal, it was just as Robbedobb described, a wide open plain. With a huge tree in the middle! Roger and I dashed straight for the tree. As soon as we got to it, Megan appeared out of nowhere once again, and hugged me and would not let go! Wait...she is crying, not good, something must have scared her really bad.

"Megan! What's wrong!" I asked.

"That place...was it really...Hell? That monster who was that he kept mentioning things...and I could only think about was getting to Robbedobb, and and and I don't know what happened, but I turned invisible and ran through the portal I wasn't going to stay there! It was so scary! I'm sorry I should have stayed with you!" She sobbed so much. I held her tightly as she cried into my chest.

"It's okay Megan, it really is...I killed the monster, and there is someone you should meet." I paused as she lifted her head up to look at Roger.

"Who is that?" She was curious and I could tell she was still scared.

"This is Roger, my friend I lost so long ago. That monster was the one that killed him."

By the look on her face, I could see that she knew why I was so sad, she sees it. She sees my vulnerability, my fear of losing people, and it is subtle, very subtle. I can sense her anger, it has to be towards the other children that always made fun of me. The light around her body was starting to turn red. I have to admit this was scaring me, then again, it could be because I never seen this side of her before.

"Did you get lost? It sure took a long time for you two to get here." Robbedobb kind of just popped in. Why and how does everyone do that! Seriously! Robbedobb looked around and noticed Roger. He looked at him for a minute, and realized who he was.

"Hello little one, It's been a while...I see Brandon rescued you from him." Robbedobb seemed to know him somehow? I do not think I have ever been so confused before.

"Robbedobb, how do you know him?" I asked him, I had to know why.

"Brandon, you do not remember what happened that night. When I had killed that evil being, unfortunately Roger's soul was captured with his demise. I had knew already that I would be unable to rescue him. Since I am banned from my home."

"Your home is Hell, and the son of Lucifer?" I said wanting answers, I am pretty sure that I deserve them.

"Yes, that is true , I am indeed the son of Lucifer. I was banished from my home due to my over-ambitiousness, I have a history that one day, you will understand when you are much older. Since you have traveled through my home, and have seen it for yourself. Not only did you safely travel through it, but you also freed the souls of many poor victims of that monster's actions. For that, you have proven yourself to not only me, but to your friends here."

"Really? Wowsers..." My jaw pretty much dropped hearing Robbedobb say this.

"Really, now we need to get started, there isn't much time left before you two have to make the journey back. I will teach you the fastest way of getting back, since you both made it here."

"Cool! Can't wait!" Megan and I said simultaneously.

"Alright, lets begin." Robbedobb finished off the conversation, I can both see and hear how proud he was in his voice and the smile he had on his face.

For the next three or four hours, or what seemed like it anyway, had passed. We had learn a great number of things. For instance, we learned how to keep our powers in control, so when we made it back to the physical world, we wouldn't do anything without us meaning to.

Megan's powers were really cool, she can turn herself invisible, obtain knowledge with a quickness, she is also able to persuade just about anyone into doing what she wanted. With her mind she can manipulate things, such as objects. I was kind of jealous with this one, it just seems so cool! Her best power and best of all, she had mastered her ice power Robbedobb had told her that she has more powers than what she currently has at this moment, and through her aging and with her training, she will have an array of powers at her disposal.

My powers, on the other hand, will mostly come from Robbedobb, but most of my own powers will come to me apparently when I become frustrated or angry. Robbedobb noticed this and says that I will be able to do more than the typical human will be able do with what is called an adrenaline rush. Back to what I can do though, when I become enraged, my eyes will first change, into the bright green of that of Robbedobb's, but it will have a blend of silver and gold as well. My skin will harden, becoming like steel. Tiny spikes will come out of my forearms and hands, becoming my weapon. My strength... it will increase by a thousand fold. Lastly my voice, my yelling or screaming, can do a few things, whether it be pushing those in it's path away at a great force, seeing the aura of people or creatures, being able to slow the flow of time, but the coolest one in my opinion? Is where I manipulate my voice to be projected as if it were coming from somewhere else. I don't have to be angry for all of these, some just require concentration, but Robbedobb says that, with training, I will not even have to concentrate, that it will happen when I need it to.

Robbedobb had created some training devices to help us control and perfect what we can do. For Megan, he created monsters for her ice power, as well as her invisibility power. Some souls of those who were still wandering aimlessly for her persuasion ability. Robbedobb challenged her with trivia of history of the planes, and about creatures and demons, as to how to defeat them. Her telekinesis, she had some trouble at first, but she quickly learned how to control it. My guess was she used her insta-knowledge power, as I call it. By the time she was done training she could manipulate weapons to fire into the creatures Robbedobb had created. She was able to fire multiple swords at once. Robbedobb was impressed, so impressed, he unlocked her own power from within as a reward.

Now with my training was pretty much different than hers, it consisted of mostly controlling my anger, to control the physical changes. Once I had that down, Robbedobb created various training devices, such as giant trees, for my strength. Creatures that Megan could definitely not be able to handle on her own, this was for my physical changes as well as my voice. Lastly the other parts of my voice to avoid detection, such as being able to see and 'throw' my voice. For this he took Megan and I to another place, I guess somewhere he was able to create. He had Megan keep herself invisible, for her protection, as well as to try to teach her to keep invisible for a longer period of time.

This place was interesting, it looked like it was built for stealth, this must be for my voice. It looked like a town with a big castle at the end, it was dark but there was enough light to where I could still see. The people were not human, they looked like they were, but instead they were...skeletons? There were walking skeletons that had bows and arrows. Then Robbedobb handed me a bow, with five arrows.

"Okay little one, this is where you avoid being seen at all costs, and take down as little creatures as you need to, get into the castle and get into the treasure room, and get the treasure." with that he also hands me two lockpicks, "You will know when you need these. So you will use your voice to see and distract them, be mindful that you do not have to yell as that will give away that you are there, and stick to the shadows, for what you are doing, they are your best friend. Now go, be safe and make me proud."

He did not have to tell me anymore, I did as I was told I stayed in the moonless shadows creeping myself closer and closer to the castle. I could not see any skeletons around me, so I went and whispered my voice:

"Sight..."

As soon as I whispered, bright green spots appeared. Judging by how small or big they were, I could tell if one was close or not. I noticed a huge green shadow out of the corner of my eye and there was a skeleton with his back facing toward me! Without even thinking I took the bow a fired an arrow where his chest would be and his bones went flying. I quickly picked up his quiver, which held roughly twelve arrows, and put them into my own quiver.

Crud, all the green shadow were heading towards the skeleton I just took down. Having to think quick I thought about my other voice power...

I whispered, "Hey...you guys...over here." As I was saying this, on the other side of the town, I heard my voice echo. The skeletons all shifted their attention to the other side of town. When their green spots were very tiny, I took this opportunity to hide the pieces of the skeleton into the darkest place I could find. I went back to my path in the shadows but I ran as quietly as I could just in case I did not see any others. I made it up to the castle, and looked around the corner, and to my shock I seen four more skeletons, that didn't have the green shadow, I went back around the corner and whispered out my power, and to my dismay, the green shadow didn't come up through the wall. I tried throwing my voice and nothing once again.

Then a thought occurred to me, I pulled out my bow and shot an arrow at a wall in the corner. Just like I thought would happen, the skeletons went to check out what the noise was. As soon as they walked away from their post, I tried another one of my voice powers.

"Sloooww"

I tried it as a whisper, and it worked! The skeletons started moving slowly and I moved fast, well as quietly as I could. I noticed another door and decided to go through that one in case there were more behind the main door. I opened the door and I saw a dark hallway. "Success", I thought to myself. Nothing down here. I moved fast and I looked around the corner...still dim. I walked down slowly and I started being more cautious.

"See...Life" I tried again and this time it worked I seen just one down the hallway. Hmm I guess I have to wait before using it again. As the skeleton was coming down the hall, I readied another arrow and shot it before it could react. It shattered again, I ran to it and took its arrows. I did not count them this time, but I continued on and another green spot appeared. This time I focused on my path and it showed that I could go straight through instead of the path with the skeleton. I did not hesitate to take the right path. I sneaked passed the skeleton and went through the door.

Looks like the main hall, it looked so big and beautiful with all the chandeliers and the vibrant colors. I seen two green spots and they were at the entrance door. Lucky for me that was the brightest area. I looked around and the stairs told me that was the way to go. I slowly got to the stairs and went through the only door at the top.

Weird, there is not any skeleton guards at all. Hmm, I focused my path once more and it showed me that I needed to go down the hall and take the corridor to the right I crept closer to the corner and peaked around, and to my shock, I seen two big skeletons by the door this must be the treasure room, had two options. Option number one, I could try and take them both down with my arrows, but then I would definitely be found. Yeah bad idea, I think I will go with my second option.

I focus on where the royalty sleep and when the path showed itself, I got into the darkest spot I could get into and focused my voice into the royal chambers.

"Help...please help!" I whispered as I heard a shouting from the royal chambers the bigger skeletons darted towards the chambers, with their great swords readied. I took this opportunity to move swiftly over to the door. I slowed down time and took out the lockpick. I steadied my hand and focused on unlocking the door. I let my hands work on their own, and before I knew it...the lockpick broke! Damn I muttered to myself and got the other lockpick out and tried once more. This time I kept my focus on the lock, and after a few minutes it opened! I let out a great big sigh of relief, and quickly slipped in.

This room was in a sense perfect shiny gold everywhere, jewels, and on top of that the treasure chest was the best part about this room, I go to open it and...it was locked. Hmm I have one last lockpick and I focused all I had into opening this chest. This took the longest ever, and suddenly I hear a 'click'. And I opened the chest right up, and put all I could into my bag and at the bottom of the chest I had seen a set of what looks like clothes? I put the clothes on and I felt much lighter. I looked around and I could not see my body either??? I started walking around the room and noticed, no sound! Hmm this is great this will make my trip back so much easier but then something black caught my eye. I dig through the treasure and picked it up.

It was a key, but shaped in the old style key, something told me to keep it so I put it into my pocket. I was not too worried about the other treasures, but I opened up the door and simply walked right out and made my way back to Robbedobb and Megan.

"Hey, guys, how did I do?" I asked and judging by their reaction, it seems I forgot to remove some of the clothes. I took off the shirt and I came back into view. Megan almost died from shock. Robbedobb on the other hand was impressed by far.

"I would say you exceeded what I thought would happen, good job and you found what you needed to." Robbedobb spoke with a great big smile on his face

"The clothes right?" I asked not to sure of what he was saying.

"Those too, but the key was the most important thing." he paused and sat down on the ground, Megan and I sat as well. "Pull the key out."

I pulled out the key and noticed it looked like a regular key. It was strange indeed, curiosity took over me as I walked over to a door to a random house. As I put the key close to the keyhole. The key actually changed to fit the keyhole!

I ran back and in exasperation I said to Robbedobb and Megan, "The key changed!!"

Robbedobb laughed loudly, "Of course, my boy! It is the skeleton key!!"

"so why did I need to get these things from the castle?" I asked needing to know why.

"Well, I will tell you why. These items you collected are of my creation to help you in the physical world since you and Megan are both in this together. The both of you are ready to train in the physical world now. Oh and Brandon?" Robbedobb had asked.

"Yes sir?" I responded

"Good job, no, Amazing job!" He chuckled, "Let's get back to my plane and finish up everything, how does that sound?"

"Awesome"Megan and I said together.

"Alright let's go!", he said and soon after the three of us were back in his plane. He told us there is a secret bridge that only those he wishes to enter may take. It is a safeguard against his enemies, and says you can not be too careful.

When we said our good byes, Robbedobb said, "Both of you remember, I am only a thought away."

"Okay, we will see you soon enough!" we said in unison once again.

Off we went back home with our newly found abilities and gear, we cannot wait to see what our next chapter may be...
