New Day, New Play

When I finally woke up, I looked around in the living room and to my surprise Megan was already up and wide awake. I guess she was waiting for me to wake up, I do tend to sleep more than most kids are supposed to. I finally got up out of my sleeping bag, and realized that I am invisible still!

The clothes were still on, but they looked like the clothes I would typically wear, shorts, short sleeved shirt, and sneakers. I removed the enchanted shirt and decided to become seen once more.

"It's about time you took that shirt off! Haha!" Megan joked at me

"Right? Yeah I don't know what I am supposed to do with these though, Robbedobb never really did tell me what to do with them." I said being really confused.

"well maybe it is like with the lockpicks, you'll know when you need it. Probably carry a backpack with you in case you need to use it. Might also be a good idea to put the key somewhere safe. Do you have a wallet?" she asked.

"I do! It's in my room actually!" I responded, could not believe I did not think about that. I rushed to my room and grabbed my camouflaged Velcro wallet, went back to the living room, and pulled out the key. I go to put the key in and it transformed into card. Man, this thing is so cool! I slide the key in and closed the wallet and put it into my front pocket.

"Now it'll be safe there and only you and I will know where it is at." She smiled, I was happy to see her smile again. The past last night with our adventure was pretty bad. I had seen nothing, but fear and tears coming from her. It is great that everything is somewhat back to normal, well, with a few perks too I suppose.

"Since it is Saturday, what do you want to do Brandon?" Megan asked as she had a pretty good idea as to what I was going to say.

"Well, as you remember, we did get some pretty cool abilities and stuffs, wanna try them out in the real world?" Judging by her expression, I knew it was a yes already.

"Uh, yes!" Megan was way too excited for her own good, but that is what I like most about her.

So we made our way to my bicycles, I was so glad that I have two bicycles. My Mimi was an amazing lady! Anyhow, we rode the bicycles down to where we had met Robbedobb for the first time. When we finally had arrived to the opening trail. We got off of the bicycles, and walked them to our spot in the forest. We laid them down and walked to sit onto the stumps of the trees of old as Robbedobb called them.

"I think I want to figure out what each peace of this enchanted clothing does, and also find out more about this key, what about you Megan?" I asked determined to find out.

"Well, I can try my ability?" Megan responded, almost looking like she really wants to try it out.

"Yeah! Definitely!" I said instantly without thinking.

"Okay, here I go." Megan sits down on one of the stumps and closes her eyes, focusing on what she needs to learn. As she sits there I had felt a weird presence, like we were being watched. I turned around and looked to see where it may be, and to my dismay, it was a black figure.

It had piercing red eyes, this is what stood out the most, everything else I could not see too clearly seeing as it was somewhat far away. I looked over at Megan, then turned back around and then it was gone.

"I got it!" Megan exclaimed. "Okay, so this is what the different pieces do! The shoes slash boots make you completely quiet even if you step on things ,and you can run faster. The shorts make you not only able to carry more, but they also make you lighter. So basically you can even faster with the boots! And the shirt, well as we both found out, makes you invisible. The shirt also can make others invisible as well as long as you hold onto them. Triggering the invisibility is easy too just think to yourself 'invisible' and you disappear. Also when you want to reappear, all you think is 'appear', seems easy enough right?"

As she explained this, the only thing I was really focused on was that figure that was staring us down. A number of questions ran through my mind. What was it? Why was it staring at us? Lastly, Where did it go? I have to ask Robbedobb, he would know.

"Brandon, Brandon, are you paying attention?" Megan seemed slightly annoyed.

"Yeah, shoes make me quiet and fast, pants make me lighter and helps me run even faster and the shirt makes me invisible. I was listening, I was paying attention to the black figure watching us." I explained as her face changed from the annoyed look to the scared look.

"We need Robbedobb...now." Megan had to point out the obvious.

"Yeah I was just thinking about calling him." I said slightly annoyed

"Go ahead and do that!" Megan was scared, I do not think that she is ready for a battle, if it comes to that.

I focused on getting Robbedobb here fast, and not even a few seconds later, he had appeared before the both of us.

"What is wrong little ones?" Robbedobb spoke as if we woke him up.

"Well-" I was cut off by Megan.

"Brandon had seen something watching us!" Megan exclaimed.

"Oh, is that so? What did it look like Brandon?" Robbedobb was worried about what was going on I could tell, and I did not need my power to be able to see it.

"It was black with bright red eyes. It was sitting in that tree." I pointed at the tree where I had seen the being.

"Hmm, okay, do not worry about that thing. It is simply a reconnaissance demon, watching you two, reporting back to it's master. I suggest you two hide your powers as best as you can, they do not need to know about what you can truly do." He sat down on one of the tree trunks and just looked as if he was in deep thought. Next thing Megan and I both knew, he was gone...

"Wow, things are starting to get pretty serious now, isn't it?" Megan asked, pointing out the obvious.

"Yeah, I think it is, I hope that it wont be too too bad. Well we best be getting to my house soon, you wanna train tonight?"

"Yeah! Most definitely!"

"Okay, we have to be prepared, especially if something does happen. I don't think only one night of training will be enough. Robbedobb's plane should be safe enough for us."

After that, both Megan and I headed back to my house. As we were walking our bikes back, I kept noticing the same being from in the woods, following us. I paid no attention to it, but still kept it within the view of my peripheral vision. As it jumped from tree to tree, it was quite graceful, for such a dark being.

After roughly ten minutes of walking we made it back to my house. As soon as we got inside mom had started with her shenanigans once more.

"Where in the hell did the two of you go?!? Megan's father showed up and needed to take her home!"

"Oh sorry, Mom, we were riding the bikes around the neighborhood. Was he mad?" I asked, feeling really guilty.

"Yeah, he was quite peeved, I'm calling him back and letting him know that you two are home." , she was quite angry, I still to this day do not understand why.

"Okay mom." I responded as Megan and I went into the living room.

"Why is your mom so angry all the time?" Megan said as she had this really confused look on her face.

"No idea, wish I knew, I just ignore it, kinda have to." I responded.

Megan sighed, "I'm sorry, that you have to deal with that. My dad is protective, but he isn't nowhere near like your grandmother, and never angry like your mother."

We sat and start conversing about what was now going on, for at least a good thirty minutes before her dad pulled up into the driveway.

"Well, I guess we will see each other later?" Megan asked me as we headed to the driveway.

"Yes, absolutely same place as before?" I responded to her question, with another question.

"Yep, sounds good to me." She smiled with that smile that makes me feel so happy, I do not know what I would do if I lost her.

"Okay, well I'll see you tonight." I smiled back at her, and gave her a big hug.

With that, she got into her dad's truck and left. I went back inside and started watching T.V.

"Can't wait, can you?" I knew the voice, it was Robbedobb.

"I can't, you are right, I don't like being away from her. I have a feeling that something may happen to her." I said to myself with a solemn look.

"Don't worry about her, she also has me, like you. Just not in the same manner, of course." Robbedobb had said, being reassuring.

"Thank you, I'm glad I have you as a friend, you are a good guy, Robbedobb. You really are."

"Thank you, little one, that you say that. Unfortunately, I know I have a lot to not only make up for, but to also redeem myself as a being."

"Oh okay." I smiled, still not believing how well everything is going. "So, I guess I will see you again tonight too?"

"Yes, little one, yes you will." After that he left my mind, once more.

As the night went by it was rather boring actually, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and green beans. Listening to mom complaining about things with me ignoring her. Then nightfall came, and I took a shower and laid in bed drifting asleep.
