Chapter 16 - A Team

Serefina woke up the next morning, dizzy or she could say sleepy. She was up till midnight for the first time in her life. Grandma Hannah wouldn't let her be up at night for that long.

Well, it was fun to be with Bryan at the Crintona star but she didn't know how would she concentrate on the classes at the academy-

"Oh no no no!" Serefina jumped out of the bed running towards the bathroom. Her first time being late to the academy.

"You finally showed up," Kyle said, keeping her hands still inside her signature jacket.

"Yeah, tell me I'm not too late," Serefina said, panting. She hadn't learned to teleport yet and that made her run to the academy.

"No you're not. Did you sleep late last night?"

"Yeah."

"Hey Sef," a familiar voice said.

"Hey Bryan, what's up?" Serefina said when she saw Bryan coming towards their direction.

"Wait what? You're calling her Sef?" Kyle said to Bryan.

"You have to get used to me calling her that 'cause she likes it. Right?" Bryan glanced at Serefina.

"Yup. No problem," she awkwardly replied.

"Okaaaay? When did guys become besties?" Kyle raised an eyebrow.

"Just yesterday," Bryan said before she could.

"Oh right, I forgot to ask. Why were you guys going to the Time Lake?" Kyle asked.

"Mom told you, huh?" Bryan said.

And Serefina had forgotten that Kyle was Bryan's younger sister. So then Kyle would be a princess?

"What are you two hiding from me?" Kyle snapped.

"We have to tell her everything?" Serefina asked Bryan.

"Do you want to tell her everything?" Bryan asked.

"Off with the mystery!" Kyle yelled.

And now everyone in the corridor stared at them.

"Nothing's happening here, everyone! Please resume to whatever you were doing," Bryan told.

And everyone nodded in agreement and were in their tasks again. Or well, talking to each other again.

"You know what, I'll tell you on the way to class, c'mon we'll be late!" Serefina dragged Kyle by her hand towards the stairs. "See you later!"

"See ya Sef!" Bryan said and went the opposite direction.

Serefina explained everything to Kyle from her dream to every detail of what happened after that. She left the part where Bryan had taken her to a star last night. He had said it was a special place, so, Serefina didn't know if Kyle knew about Crintona.

"Okaaaay?" Kyle whispered scratching her head in the middle of the Time History class. "That's a lot of information to take in."

"If you don't want to be included then-"

"Are you kidding me? This so exciting!"

"What's so exciting?" Ava asked from the back of their bench.

And Serefina had to explain everything again!

"I'm in," Ava agreed to help find Serefina's grandma. Well it was worth having more people for help but wouldn't it be a little dangerous for them to join.

"Hey," Kyle nudged Serefina by her elbow. "Don't overthink, will you?"

"You talk just like Bryan," Serefina said. "This makes sure you are his sister."

"Of course I am. Let us join the team. I know we'll be good help."

A team? A team.

"Okay, then let's find grandma together!" Serefina agreed.
