Chapter 28 - The Ladies

The Time Wall lightened up like a projector. Serefina took a deep breath before asking Linda, "So, how do we do this?"

Linda glanced at Serefina and then back at the Time Wall. "This won't be easy."

Linda offered Serefina her hand. Then, she touched the wall, closing her eyes.

Serefina closed her eyes without knowing.

She felt sick. Her throat felt sore and dry. What was this feeling? Not able to move or speak a word.

Linda's hand was cold. Not just cold but freezing cold. She wanted to snatch her hand away but she couldn't.

The cold feeling reached her brain making it senseless. Her emotions rattled and shaked and just...vanished.

But she did feel something. And emotion that scared her. She felt...numb.

The dream came into spotlight. The dream with the two ladies.

It was the same dream but the only difference was that the faces were clear.

The women were beautiful. There eyes green and both with fair skin.

I broke them! I broke them!" The lady with blonde hair said.

"It's not your fault!" The lady said who had long straight raven black hair.

"It's all my fault! I shouldn't have asked the question!" The blonde haired lady shouted.

Serefina sighed. The conversation was exactly the same but then the dream continued:

"That question was important Zophie!" the lady with the black hair said. "It was important for you to ask!"

"I-" Zophie froze. "No Raina! I feel it!"

"This isn't good."

"We should have asked the Gracy before doing it. Now just because of us she is back and-"

The dream vanished.

"No!" Serefina cried as her eyes opened. "This isn't supposed to just stop!"

Serefina sank down on the cloud snatching her hand away from Linda. "WHY? ALL THE HARDWORK AND PATIENCE I HAVE GIVEN FOR THIS TIME WALL WAS FOR THE INFORMATION THAT WASN'T EVEN INFORMATIVE!"

"Why..."

Bryan rushed towards Serefina and helped her up. She was glad that he did because her legs definitely weren't on her side.

"Apologies, Miss Gracy. I don't know why did this happen," Linda said and inspected the Time Wall.

"Sef, breath," Bryan whispered. "We are surely going find a way."

Srefina tried her best to nod. "I'm sorry." This wasn't the fault of anyone here. "I am sorry, all of you.'

Kyle made her way towards Serefina. "It's gonna be okay. We'll figure something out."

"Yeah we will." Rhys looked at Linda. "And we need to talk."

"Yes, your highness," Linda sighed.

"Sef," Bryan whispered again, "let's go."

Rhys stayed behind when they returned to Bryan's palace. Kyle went to meet Professor Natalie for some reason.

Later as Bryan dropped Serefina at her house he wrapped his arms around her rubbing her hair with his palm. "I know what your feeling Sef. Let it out."

Serefina remembered the times when she, grandma Hannah and Fluffy used to spend the day together in Tik Tok soup shop without problems. Just a peaceful life everyone deserves. With that thought she couldn't resist anymore. Tears came out without her permission.

She didn't want cry in front of Bryan but he had told her to let it all out. As she hugged him back her tears started to stain his coat.

After a whole ten minutes of crying, she pulled away from the hug.

"Forgive me for everything, will you?" he asked.

She looked at Bryan tears about to fall from his eyes as he wiped them with his sleeve.

"Why are you crying?" Serefina asked.

"Never mind that. Are you alright now?" he asked.

"I think so..." she realized that her face was probably red from all the crying. She really wasn't alright.

"Hey, Sef, I-"

"It was not your fault, Bryan. So, don't apologize. You should go. Its past midnight."

Bryan didn't argue and teleported back to Timezium.

How could have this happened and what was Zophie going to say after 'and'?

Little did Serefina know her life was really about to turn upside down.
