Goodbye Mamma, Goodbye Home

Soft breeze was gently bending tall grass and tickling field flowers. Sun was just reaching its peak. An infinite number of beetles, flies, butterflies, bees and insects were buzzing around, doing what they meant to do. None of the beings had a name in the eyes of the girl that was gazing into clear blue sky. Her slender body was laying down and her green eyes was observing birds soaring above her.

Suddenly a dog appeared and started licking her. A laughter as a jingling bell came out of her.

"Dingo, you cheeky boy!" exclaimed the girl

Dog just wiggled his tale, looked into her eyes and started prowling through little pathway between tall grass.

"Achhh..." sight of sadness escaped her lips

She stood up and her unbelievable long golden hair that reached her tights caught in a breeze. It seemed as if a soft wind wanted to play. Silently she started following the dog to the little hut where elderly, long haired woman was sitting outside and sorting herbs out. On her way girl run to the ginger cow that has been roaming and eating grass quietly. The young girl patted cows head and in return cow licked her hand. Another jingling laughter flew through the field. She kissed cow's nose and joyfully run to her mother.

"Mamma! I am going miss you, our home, Foxy and Dingo!" she shouted

"Harriet, sweetness, a sunshine! I am going be missing you too!" Smilingly woman replied "Let me plat your hair for a last time."

With hand gesture she invited Harriet. The girl sat in front of her and both of them started singing while older woman's hands skillfully combed her hair.

"Lavender's green dilly, dilly,

Lavender's blue,

If you love me dilly, dilly,

I will love you." and the joyous giggles echoed through the yard

"Mamma are you going be alright being here all alone?" Harriet worried

"As soon as Foxy and Dingo with me I am going be good" assured elderly "Here is some herbs to keep you healthy, some bread and cheese to keep you full on your way to castle, 3 silver coins to pay for your travel and clothes" mother handled travel bundle to Harriet

"Mamma!" Cried out Harriet and her eyes filled with tears, as she felt into her mother's embrace.

"Harriet, my sunshine, remember to greet everyone with a smile and warmth, remember your true purpose and all is going be taken care for you." Whispered her mum, " Now it is time for you to go, as the post carriage is going be soon approaching the oak tree. We do not want to disappoint aunt Coral and make her wait three more days. After all she was the one to get you work inside the castle." she kissed Harriet's forehead, "I love you my Sunflower" she let her out of embrace and laughing pointed to her hair " ...and remember to keep your hair plated, clean and neat" mothers' green eyes emanated love, peace and serenity

"Mamma, Thank you for everything!" She kissed her hand, "I am going to write you soon!"

Both women hugged for the last time and Harriet stepped on to poorly visible pathway. Holding travel bundle tight she slowly walked through tall grass jungle. Grass hoppers was moving out of her way, while she picked some flowers and made a garland that she placed on her head. Dingo joined the girl and followed her until they reach a tall oak tree.

"That's it Dingo, my friend, it is time to say goodbye. Please take care of mum." She asked dog looking into his eyes.

As if he understood her, Dingo licked her face and in return Harriet kissed dog nose. He barked and put his paw onto her shoulder then turned around and run back to the distant hut on the top the hill.

Tears rolled down girls' cheeks while she was looking at her home for the last time. Harriet took deep breaths when she saw a carriage coming closer from the distance.

"It is time to let all go and step into unknown" the voice said within her mind.

Harriet smiled hugged and kissed the old tall oak and with the shining in her eyes she walked towards approaching post carriage.
