Chapter Six: Reincarnated

"Annabelle!" Apollo said. I listen, exited. "Did you find me?" He rolled his eyes. Apollo is an easy guy to befriend. "Yep! I called you Annabelle, right?" My eyes widened. "You did not. But you really believe me. A human girl. I- WOW." Apollo shrugged.

We were sat in the dining room, and a maid was bringing in some food. I nervously looked at Apollo, but he shrugged and nodded. I guessed that to mean "Sure you can eat that, I believe that was part of the original deal". I picked up a honey sandwich and subconciously began chewing it. "This is good food." I told the maid, and she blushed bright red and hurried away.

I turned back to Apollo. "But why did this happen to me? Why am I now Persephone?" I asked. This question been irritating the back of my concious mind since I found out what happened. Apollo frowned. "Well. We cant be sure, of course, but I think Persephone had been in some kind of danger when you died, and she chose for you to be... reincarnated as her. You said Hades pulled you out of the river? Maybe she was taken there when you were reincarnated, and she was taken from her dangers?" He smiled mischeiviously. "Persephone never seemed to like pranks much. But you, you seem to be of the opposite attitude. Maybe she was jiding her true thoughts, and she loved pranking."

Five minutes or so later, Apollo and I were crouched, hiden from veiw behind a wall, looking into the throne room. Hades entered, and I felt my heartbeat quicken. I was pranking the Lord of the Underworld and Brother of Zeus, who is, I'll have you know, THE KING OF GODS. So, if we got caught, we were pretty much doomed. Happy times, eh?

Hades sat on his chair, and the Whoopee cuishion exploded with a load 'FFFRRRPPPT!' (that was a farting noise). Thinking of Apollo, Hades stormed to the door on the opposite side of the room to Apollo and I, but disaster struck again for Hades when he opened the door! A huge bucket of slimey, dirty water fell on his head, completely drenching him and dirtying his smart-looking suit hideously. Hades charged toward our hiding space and Apollo ran for his life. Leaving me behind. I made a mental note to kill him after Hades killed me. Hades appeared seconds later, furious, but when he looked around he saw who he thought was Persephone, and his expression softened considerably.

"Perse, what are you doing here?" Hades said, in a voice that sounded like he would forgive me for anything. "I-I was just... on my way to see you! Apollo left, and I was feeling lonely..." I said, wildly hopeing he would believe me. I think it worked, because he smiled at me. "No need to look so guilty, Perse. Look, I'll get a maid to take you to my room. I'll be there soon, I'm just going to get changed." He glanced down at his clothes mournfully.

I noticed his mood. "If you give me those clothes, you can gave a shower while I clean them if you like. Dont worry; fresh clean clothes will be ready when your out of the shower." I offered, thinking it would boost his mood. It did. "Thank you, Persephone. You may also change into something more comfortable if you wish." Hades exclaimed, joyous. He rushed away for his shower and I followed at a slower pace to collect his dirty clothes(that sounds weirdly gross).
