An Angel Came

Dr. Bridges

Ok, who wants to go first? What about you, young man? Holding his art kit?

Patient 1

Huh?! Me?!

Other Patient

Of course, kid. Do you see anyone else holding around a little art kit?

Patient 1

No, of course not. However, don't call my art kit little! I've had this ever since my family passed away from an awful event.

Other Patient

Sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you in the feelings.

Dr. Bridges

Ok, enough arguing. Little boy, why don't you come and sit in the chair?

Patient 1

Ok, thank you, sir.

Dr. Bridges

You're welcome. Now, tell me, what's your name?

Patient 1

My name is Julian Butler, and I used to live in the suburban town of Morrisville, North Carolina. I lived with my mother Jane and my father Raymond. I also had two twin sisters: Ray is the oldest and May is the youngest.

Dr. Bridges

Interesting so far. So, what hobbies do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Julian

One of the hobbies I enjoyed doing is drawing. I love art because I get to create things with my imagination. For example, I'm a huge fan of crossover video games, especially the ones that have an RPG vibe to them. So, I created my own world known as Neo-Pangea where the Earth has reverted back to its original form, only that the world is transformed into four nations that are collided with one another. It is set in the year 2049.

Dr. Bridges

That sounds like a lot of fun, Julian. Your drawing is fantastic.

Julian

Yeah, it took me hours to make it. I had to keep erasing and erasing it to make it look good.

Dr. Bridges

Ok. So, let me tell you this. Tell me about a time where you had to deal with a major crisis.

Julian

Well, it was the time where a massive earthquake struck my home. My mom was going to cook me pasta, so she sent me off on an errand to buy some spaghetti sauce at the grocery store. After that, even though I was beamed by the idea of savoring the food into my mouth, I began to hear loud rumbling noises near my house. It's implied that my family heard about an earthquake striking our home, causing them to panic in fear.

Dr. Bridges

Ok. Then what happened?

Julian

I ran as fast as I can, but it was too late. My house collapsed while my family was inside. Not just that, the whole town got destroyed as well, leaving nothing but ashes and a sense of dread. My family had been injured badly with blood dripping from their wounds. My sisters were dead and so was my father. My mother said that she was sorry for not having the chance to make my special meal. After that, she died from coughing up large amounts of blood. I was crying an awful lot because I loved my family very much. I didn't know this would happen until I saw the unthinkable. It was like living in a nightmare. I was so scared because I fear loneliness. I felt helpless.

Dr. Bridges

Was there someone else with you?

Julian

There wasn't a single living person out there. However, there was someone. While I was crying, a light begins to flash from the sky. I turned and noticed a strange voice that told me she heard my sadness from down here. Then, she gently descends down from the sky and introduced herself to me. Her name was Fantasia. She was an angel from Heaven.

Dr. Bridges

How did Fantasia know you were crying?

Julian

She used Telepathy.

Dr. Bridges

Oh, okay then. Continue.

Julian

Thanks.

Dr. Bridges

How did you cope with the pressure that you faced?

Julian

We both cope with the pressure by building a close friendship between us. I also told her about how I was inspired by art, and we both made snow angels. Then, we used sticks and other objects such as trash lids to create music. Then, we discuss our previous experiences in life. At first, I thought it was going to be difficult but, after I met Fantasia, I started to warm up to the idea of having fun in an otherwise destroyed society.

Dr. Bridges

Out of all the experiences that you went through, what was the one significant lesson that you understood?

Julian

The one lesson that I took away from is that, even at the end of life, the love that I, my family, and my angel friend shared will never fade away. Fantasia showed me that real life is tough, but that's what makes it interesting. I usually avoid passing judgment on others and focusing on being strong and aware of my surroundings. That's the lesson I took away from. Even though tough times occur, the love that we share will never fade.

Dr. Bridges

Thank you very much, Julian. I love how you overcome your adversary by staying strong and focus.

Julian

Thanks, I couldn't have done it without the help of Fantasia. She's the best friend I ever met. Thanks for the counseling.
