Truth Out

Frank enters the room with a tense face.

"Good Morning Lucas. You called?" Frank asked hesitatntly

Lucas looked at Frank and told him that he is been accused of helping Catherine for trapping Michael. The color on Frank's face fade away as he heard this but he managed to speak "This is absolute rubbish. Why I will help a PR and why will I get the IT guy trapped? I don't even know him"

Alandra who listened to him spoke "Frank I have seen a cctv footage from the fashion show event which was held a few days back and interestingly I found you entering the trial room where all model's outfits were kept. I wonder what you were doing in women's trial room."

Frank justified himself stating that he was checking if all dresses are placed in the room. Lucas looked at Alandra and asked how is this related to the sexual harassment. To this Alandra replied that Frank has tried his best that model Kelly doesn't show up on stage and even tried tampering with her dress and narrated the whole incident and explained how Mike helped Kelly to show on ramp. She further added how Frank had a motive to seek revenge against Mike. Lucas who was listening patiently till now fumed with anger and shouted at Frank "You bastard how dare you destroy my company name. The event was big and you tried destroying it. I will not leave you. " While Lucas was shouting suddenly Mike's phone rang. It was a call from hospital. Mike looked at everyone and excused him and took the call. "Hello".

"Hello Mr Michael, one of the patient in room 602 has become conscious and is asking to see you. Can you come to the hospital?"

"sure. I will be there in 30 mins."

Michael was relieved to know that Mary is conscious now. A new strength came in him. He walked back into the conference room and then asked Frank directly " Frank tell me one thing. Why will Alandra lie about you? She doesn't have any enmity against you. Right?"

Frank who was frustrated and on verge of losing his job went silent.

Alandra spoke " He doesn't have words as he knows that I have overheard his and Catherine's phone conversation a few days back in the parking lot."

Lucas now stared at Frank and said "I never knew you know Catherine and you were close and used to talk on phone."

Frank sighed and understood that he is trapped so he spoke " I didn't do anything. It was totally Catherine's plan and she executed it."

Now everyone looked at Frank. He further said "Trust me, Lucas. I just helped her in getting the duplicate key to Alandra's office and asked the admin guy to tamper with Alandra's cctv and laptop. That's it."

Lucas after listening to him asked, " Did Michael behave inappropriately with Catherine in the conference room?"

"No. It was Catherine 's plan." Frank confesssed

"So I guess now we know that Michael is not guilty so I will ask our legal team to remove the charges against this guy." The HR Pam spoke as soon as she heard the confession

Lucas who looked embarrassed and sorry at the same time looked at Mike and Frank and said: " Michael you have been nothing but a great employee since you have joined the company, For this false accusation I am really sorry and offer you compensation." He then looked at Frank and said "You are fired"

"B-but..."

"Get out of here before I take out my gun."

Frank left the room. Mike came to Alandra and thanked her.

"No worries but tomorrow expect a mail from me with a task list." She winked. He smiled.

He then left the office and headed towards the hospital. He reached ICU and opened the door and saw Mary whose eyes were still closed. Confused he looked at other bed where Catherine was on a ventilator whose eyes were opened. As Catherine saw him a tear came out of her eyes. The doctor arrived and informed mike " Miss Catherine gained consciousness but there is a lot of internal bleeding and I am sorry to say. She won't be able to make it."

"But I received call on my phone where I was informed that she has gained consciousness" Mike asked sounding confused.

The doctor told " It was Catherine who gain consciousness and the first word she uttered was Mike. But sooner her condition deteriorated and we checked only to find she has suffered blood loss." Also she has given this book for you. Saying so the Doctor left the ICU

Mike eyes became wet and he went near Catherine's bed where she looked at him lovingly. Unable to speak she placed her left hands on her ears gesturing sorry. Mike held her hand. She smiled and closed her eyes. Mike looked at the ECG monitor only to find a single line. She is dead. Catherine is dead.

He opened the book and saw the photo when Mike and Catherine spent time on her terrace looking at the stars. she could see some imprints on the backside of the photo. so he turned it around to see the date from that very day and Catherine's and Mike's name with a heart symbol. A tear dropped from his eyes when he suddenly heard Mary's voice. "Mike." He turned around to see Mary conscious now. He felt happy.

He went near Mary's bed and said " Mary. I am glad you are able to make it. It's over Mary. We won. I am proved innocent." Mike said with a sad smile.

" I can understand what you might be feeling seeing Catherine lifeless in front of you," Mary said looking at Catherine's lifeless body lying on the next bed.

"Sshhh...Don't stress much Mary. You need rest." Saying so Mike rang the emergency bell

The doctor came into the room and saw Mary being conscious. He examined her and then informed Mike that Mary is out of danger.

Mike smiled. He sat on the bed beside Mary and kisses her forehead.

"I love you, Mary," Mike said.

"I love you too," Mary said in a weak voice.

Both of them smiled.
