A young intern is assigned to the company's most intense and driven employee, Dani Lovelace. Dani typically refuses interns but has no choice when her superiors made the arrangement. I pulled up to the house and turned the engine off. 


Checking my make-up in the mirror I fixed a little fallout from my eyeshadow, then I fixed my hair. 


I made sure it framed my face just right. 


I took my phone out and texted Brooke, telling her I was looking forward to her coming to my place later tonight. 


We had talked about tonight, and as much as I enjoyed a dinner party thrown because of us, I just wanted to take her home with me and cuddle up. 


I grabbed my clutch and exited my car. 


Jac organised a company party here to celebrate our huge win that took place over mine and Brooke’s trip to New York. 


It was nice of her to do that, the trip itself was amazing, and of course the win was too. 


It truly felt amazing to have the highest ranking person in the entire company, throwing a party for our win.
