She had been sleeping on the cold hard floor and her feet were ice cold. She practically dragged herself to bathroom for wuzu (ablution). After wuzu she laid jaynamaz (prayer mat) and started reciting Salah (prayer).

She had a porcelain face with a pink hue dusted her cheeks due to the cold weather. Her long black hair was covered under the hijab which she had tied for Salah. She recited her Salah with patience which took her fifteen minutes to complete it. She never rose hands for dua’a as she had left this ritual it long ago. As she folded the prayer mat her hazel eyes began to water again but she tried to compose herself and laid on the bed in her room and tried to sleep….

Azlaan woke up from the annoying sound of his alarm which he’d set for fajr prayer. He sleepily walked towards the bathroom, performed wuzu and rose hands for takbir after laying the prayer mat. His thick brown hair, which was usually set with a gel was covered under the prayer cap. He was a tall muscular man with a straight face which had a kind of smile which left everyone dazed. His facial features attracted people towards him. Long thick lashes and his greyish green eyes full of sparkle and life.

After salah he rose hands for dua’a and then folded the prayer mat. He made his way to his wardrobe and took out his tracksuit. After ten minutes or so he was ready to go to park for his daily jogging routine…
